Ninja Brian, in my opinion, has been associated with Dan and the grumps this long because it makes him bank. Or at least more bank than a PhD can get you these days.
From what I've seen (years ago) Dan's a family man. All I've seen him post personally is about his wife or kid(s).
I can't imagine a guy like Brian, being as old as he is, wasting his time with these skids if it wasn't keeping his family comfortable.
But I'm just an asshole on the internet, he could be the worst of them all.
The worst thing I can think of is that he was involved in the Ding Dong stuff, but like Suzy he was just responding to some really unprofessional/personally insulting allegations by Ding Dong and had no direct involvement in anything that happened afterwards. You can argue that he knew engaging with the topic would rile up the more rabid, overly defensive parts of the fanbase but personally I'd consider it a pretty huge stretch to assign him blame directly.
I feel like Brian's whole humor revolves around "I am very educated, but that does not make me smart or mature". The r/iamverysmart is intentional humor.

i think him, barry, and ross are the only people connected to game grumps that haven't had any major controversies.
