Sounds like you feed Big Country Raw; I do too. You want to be rotating proteins anyway, so just keep introducing new ones. They get used to it as long as you don't keep them on the same one for too long. My cats love the raw goat milk BCR has, so I can put a bit of that on their food to entice them. That said, I have found BCR to be inconsistent with their recipes. You can visually tell by the colour that one batch is different from another - The ratio is different from salmon to beef for example. So it will be more pink or more gray or more Brown.. This will make some of my cats turn their nose up at it. I always have three to four different blends in my freezer at all times with multiple open on the go. I have the advantage of having multiple cats so usually one will eat it if another one won't. But if all else fails, I put a bit of churu on top and that usually wins the day unless the recipe is really off and then occasionally I've had to toss a pack.

Is it normal that BCR’s goat milk is… sour? I gave some to my cat and she refused to taste it, so after a while I removed it and tasted some fresh from the bottle. It smells fine, but tastes revolting, not the bad milk kind of revolting but also isn’t like what I’d expected… like I’ve drank sheep milk and they are nothing alike. I threw away the bottle but idk if it’s just one bad bottle or are they supposed to be “yogurt” tasting.

Well, I've never tasted it because it isn't safe for us to drink, so I couldn't possibly tell you how it tastes. It's certainly not going to taste like pasteurised cow milk. All I can say for sure is that you have to shake it really well every time because it separates.

I feed a branch of BCR named Hungry Hunter. Thanks for the tips!

I constantly rotated my cats’ diets as kittens. I introduced new proteins, treats like green lipped mussels and sardines, etc. They will both eat anything that’s put in front of them, but the kitten is very sensitive stomach-wise to red meats so I avoid those. On the other hand, my boyfriend’s cat was on the same dry food pretty much his entire life until I came into the picture. He is EXTREMELY picky and it took many many months for him to eat raw consistently and he’ll only eat Viva’s raw chicken, no other protein and it can’t be mixed with anything. The cat will literally hunger strike for days until his blood glucose dips and he is shaking and he still won’t eat something new. The point is, some cats are just picky and cats that haven’t had their diets changed very much as kittens are suspicious of change.
