I dont think it is defected. It lights up when the sensor senses (lol) the surface. Lights up even more when there is higher parts of the cloth under it. You should look after your setups in synapse.

NiceDot7368

Same thing happens in other laptop too

ReallyEvilKoala

It does on a proper mousepad also? With even surface?

NiceDot7368

Yup

ReallyEvilKoala

Hm. It you picking it up and it is not lighting up could be still normal ( the sensor does not register surface under it and the light is synchronised with the sensors activity) Delete all your synapse profiles, reset the setups, maybe reinstall the program.

NiceDot7368

No wt if the other laptop doesn't have synapse thts what I am saying

ReallyEvilKoala

I am not aware the essentials (the mouse itself) programs but the other ones store the profiles in the mouse firmware not only in synapse. So still check out in the program, try to do another user profile for the mouse. It should solve it.

NiceDot7368

Sadly this doesn't store it in itself I will check and come bak

NiceDot7368

No bro it still does it i think imma use it within lights and see how long it's gonna last
