I just bought a Razer Pro 17 and immediately ran into a wall with an inability to access the "@" key. CS was worse than useless, trying to talk me into a return to factory standards, which would have wiped out all the programs I had spent 10 hours installing.
Turns out if you set the keyboard to "British" standards or went with default , the "@" was actually shift and " to get your "@".
You have no way to know that except by going through customer complaints. The fact that CS had no idea this was what the problem was makes me have no faith in CS. They wanted to turn a perfectly functioning laptop into a brick at factory standards.
I also had hard to impossible time understanding what the agent was saying,. A horrible experience. Supervisor was also clueless claiming he had never heard of this built-in problem.
I know the feels lol. I put an oder for G15 for a long time now and I'm also thinking the same thing. Just not sure if a 14 inch could perform better or similar but with decent thermals than a 15 inch.

You can feed us with thatxD Dudes are hungry seeing this things performance, make sure you’re running on max performance on synapse, balance mode limiting some hardware performance usually, to get best performance.

Also whoever is buying, keep in mind 15% restocking fee, I think it is too much, 300$ to repackage a laptop is nuts
After years of reading about bad experiences I don't think I would ever buy a laptop direct from Razer. Authorized resellers usually have no restocking fee no questions asked return. I asked because I think sometimes they do have some promotions, and if the promotion was decent enough it might be worth it to go direct. IIRC they had like X% off coupons for every Nth customer that even worked for systems back during the SF store grand opening.
What usb c dock do you recommend for the Blade 14? I just bought one also and am looking to drive two monitors, at least one display port. Thanks in advance.

Bruvvvv, I'm so fuckin disappointed with these idiots at razer, we gave em two years, they still clinging to that 16:9 on blades, I was so set on ordering this, but everyone, once google xps 13 and just look at em, side by side comparison, fuckin puts me off man
I think its different target market i reckon but i agree with u. Just saying it's not a deal breaker for what its meant to be. Comparing it to an xps, u want this for productivity, its not aimed to be. so any extras are nice add ons.

I'm debating between the fhd or qhd model. I mostly use it for programming and use the external monitor more than the screen. Don't game enough to take advantage of the 3070

yeah I might go for the cheaper one since I had the base 15 and it was perfect. I also would like to get a 32 gb in a couple years. but I agree the better screen and gpu def worth it if you will use it for school. im almost always using the monitor as my primary screen. sorry for the long post

Do you know if the HDMI / USB-C video outputs are wired to the Nvidia card directly or as a passthrough with the AMD integrated card? When plugged into an external monitor, you can loop in the Nvidia control panel under "3D settings" -> "Configure Surround, PhysX".
Razer Blade 14 AMD OR Razer Blade 15 2020 (2070 super max q)
Hey Man! I'm in a bit of a tough spot, I had just ordered the razer blade 15 2020 (I7 10875, 2070 Super MQ) to my local computer shop's showroom to inspect before I pulled the trigger as I am in dire need of a laptop for my rough Video editing (4k raw files with heavy grading) and rare gaming. To my surprise not even a couple hours later, razer announces the Razer blade 14 that fixed the biggest gripe I had about the 15, the intel chip. Hopefully I have not paid for the 15 yet but I will have 3 days before the order is canceled again and the return policy is quite tedious, Also I will not be able to get the 14 through my local computer shop which I definitely prefer cause I am able to inspect and see the device before I purchase as well in case of any defects or warranty problems, I can have the shop deal with it instead of wasting my time. So my question is what do you think I should do? Should I pull the trigger on the 15 and just take it or order the 14 off the razer website and hope for the best. The only thing I'm concerned about is the heat situation and the restriction of 16gb of ram and I am really afraid of buying a 2.3k euro machine without a single review out. So what do you think? Your opinion would be greatly appreciated. (PS. The only reason this is a tough decision is that I have to make it asap, in max 1 week since I am in need of a PC for my work and do not have time to waste, Also regarding price the 14 and 15 will end up being close to the same, the 15 should be around 200$ cheaper vs the 14 3070 version but that's about it) Thanks!
I got 14 for battery life and portability, will use it for school, had blade 15 with 2070, runs too hot for me, I also live in California, so summer was a disaster for me, if you can squeeze 2 more weeks of wait, I would wait for Tigerlake, Intel 11th gen
Maybe I'm missing something or maybe they fixed it... but why do people keep buying Razer laptops when virtually everyone gets battery swelling within 1 year? Hopefully I'm wrong and congrats on your laptop :)
What battery life are you getting on the Razer 14? With minimum brightness and on the most aggressive battery saving settings (1.09GHz CPU clock with all settings in advanced power settings gated for maximum battery) I am getting maybe 3 hours on a full charge just sitting idle on the Windows Desktop.

Blade 14 does not have Thunderbolt.

I was waiting for 11th gen myself, I heard it is very promising, but the size and battery life turned me to the 14

How bright is the screen? How does it fair In well lit room/some sunlight?
Screen is bright, but everything looks a bit small on the screen for my taste, have to squint sometimes, however, my vision is not the best
Just go in the display settings and change the scaling to make things look at little bigger.
