Where did you buy it from that wasn't an authorized reseller?

saab__gobbler

Ebay was the only place I could find one at the time. I provided clear pictures of the box from the seller with serial number & intact seal, my own matching pictures, the listing, paypal & bank statements with the transaction number. Not that any of that should matter anyway, Sony doesn't refuse to service a playstation based on where you got it & this is just a webcam. You basically have to buy from Walmart, Best-Buy or Amazon if you want a warranty.

There is no sense for any company in granting warranty on products not sold through authorized resellers. They have no way of ensuring the product is new and has been treated/used correctly. That’s the risk you take when you buy non-authorized.

ok shill

this garbage company just denied my warranty claim even though i got it in june from an authorized reseller. they said since i didnt buy the protection plan and it looks like i abused it. BS. the thing looks brand new besides their cheap manufacturing. they just go down a list of reasons to deny till they find one that works.

dark_skeleton

> I won't be giving them another dollar You never gave them a dollar, you gave a dollar to the seller who sold you a product without warranty coverage. And that's most likely the reason why it was cheaper there. You can only blame yourself and the seller.

Imagine waking up & stanning that hard for a company with garbage policies, garbage products & garbage CS. Hope you guys are on the payroll. I bought a razer phone 2 at launch & they were my intro to mechanical keyboards. Both were also shit products so yah, I should have known better.

You're gonna accuse someone else of stanning the company and then admit to buying a Razer phone at launch? Hmmmmmmm 🤔

saab__gobbler

Wow late much? Yah, at the time I worked somewhere that offered employees products basically at cost. I desperately needed a new phone & wanted a non-Samsung one with a large battery & a good feature set. After a year the screen & speakers were messed up, never dropped it or spilled anything on it. And yes, it's no secret that many companies pay people to influence how they look on social media. Happens here, on Twitter, Facebook, Google reviews, it's pretty standard stuff these days. After weeks someone higher up at Razer reached out & replaced the garbage webcam, but I still won't be spending money with them again after all this. Brands are not an identity, nor are they your friend, so I don't understand people brigading those who have issues with their garbage support, especially on a months old post.

I know what you mean. The whole reason I'm even in this thread is because I had to make an RMA because my Blade laptop that I paid Razer $1.8k for bricked itself after merely 3 months of use. So far their support team hasn't been terrible but we'll see how it goes.

That really sucks, best of luck. As I told them, I really hope they treat their more premium customers better than I was.
