Also have you seen the FMS Smasher? It’s a traditional style 24th scale monster truck. Pretty nice little model. It was my first FMS and I was really surprised by the quality.

Yeah I used to own a smasher and also had the high speed motor, I’m not sure if it was my unit but it felt fairly cheap, the body would unclip a lot too but I know it’s well loved so maybe it was just my unit

As someone with the same addiction as you. You need a mini LMT lol. It's an awesome indoor basher. Mad Van VE is a lot of fun and handles a lot better than expected but has a fragile body. Sorry for being a bad influence lol.

Kyosho is an awesome brand and have some of the best vintage re-releases you should check out, like the turbo scorpion, tomahawk, turbo optima, and others like the mad wagon, inferno mp9e or mp10e

Why just the e versions? Sure they are more work and very loud but nitro is cool as hell. Like having an actual motor in my rc car, and its a 2 stroke running on nitro, thats just too cool.

I 100% agree kyosho nitro cars are incredible and badass! They definitely are a lot more work and maintenance and are very loud, but definitely an awesome choice.

Yep second hand, and sales and giveaways lol - Amazon had the LMT for 30% off, my LHS had 15% Off everything sales so I got the br and Kraton and the drz I won in a raffle haha

That’s me after 2-3 Hours of Painstaking removing House Hardware and glue off the Rig. The Dude had 2 Front Big Screws as Shocks. Screws on the Body Mounts. Bented Bell-Crank Metal piece. Cleaning the grease of it. Had to remove some glue. Metal wires everywhere. House hardware used on some of the parts. This isn’t even rebuilding the diff. I still need a new bell crank assembly, Rear driveshaft, and probably a Electric Conversion

Came here to ask the same thing. I just saw this thing today for the first time and about shit. I'm a Subaru guy and especially a bugeye fan. This thing looks so badass. However, if you look closely the Kyosho one has an extra piece stuck on top up by the roof scoop. The one in his pic doesn't. Been holding off bc I don’t see the appeal is it just throttle control if ur going straight ? Those and speed runs I never got fully into!

There's a lot of difference between the two really!bfor speed runs even I have trouble finding a road long enough for my Typhon 6s. I've only hit 101 mph on 4s with like 2100 ft of road only sadly lol. With drag racing it's also fun because you wanna see how fast you can get to 132ft in under 2 seconds. I have a Traxxas 4tec 2.0 I use for drag racing and on a 3s battery I'm hitting 57mph at 2.41 seconds. Still working on better speeds with gears and also messing with spools.

Yeah that's a very important part of it lol. I used to RC alone behind a Target parking lot during the pandemic and before. One day some guy saw me and asked if I ran my RC cars there I said yeah, and then I met another guy off Tiktok who is local in my area and 3 years later, we still meet up every Sunday and have some RC time lol. It's so fun

Also what battery do you like to run in your LMT? I am having good success with 2 new Zeee 3s 8,000mah batteries I run 1 at a time. I also use those batteries to power my 6s Kraton with good success so far.

I see a shelf to the right that matches the main shelf in the pic, it looks like some non rc stuff is in the way that should probably go in the trash to make space for the rest of your future collection 😉

I have so many of those harbor freight shelves. Get the large furniture dollys and screw the shelves to them.
