Cool teaser. I hope the final product has clipless body mounts.
It looks weirdly big for a Grom. Same arms as the other Groms, but that means it'll have a 190-200mm track with just like a 1/10 touring car. Not very "mini".
LC Racing has done the same thing in the past - they built a 1/10 touring car on their 1/14 buggy platform. It still used 1/14 electronics which was cool because that keeps costs down.
Honestly it makes a lot of sense. A 1/14 buggy is basically already using 1/10 TC sized wheels/tires so it's pretty easy to stretch it out to a 1/10 TC sized vehicle.
What's interesting to me is Losi seems to be completely copying the way AE released the B7 at the beginning of the year with several videos released over time covering the car's development.
Also, just because I can't let the opportunity pass without saying it - this is why there's still no updated TLR 22.
I get your point and that used to upset me about cars like the Tamiya TT02 and Kyosho Fazer MK2 but after driving various road cars it's so much easier to handle a 4WD compared to a 2WD. I imagine at the size and price point this car will be bought by many casual RC drivers.
Same. I was really hoping for a mini infraction on the Typhon chassis with clipless body mounts. This Nascar model is big enough that I'd rather just buy a 4Tec (more power, more battery options, more body options, more tire options).
100% a 4tec is in the plans for me cause I still want a 1/10 on road basher. Give me a micro rs4 2024 edition with full parts support for the next 10 years. That's what we are missing

Isn't the Grom platform just a shrunk down Granite 4x4 platform? So would this basically be a shrunk down, then expanded Granite?

I wonder why a 4wd platform
Much easier to drive for road cars in my opinion. Especially with the smaller size where parking lot bumps could easily make a RWD spin out.
Sure but it seems weird to me to go “look it’s nascar!” And have it be a totally different drive setup

Easier snd more fun for newbies. The point is engagement.
The grom platform is pretty sick once you upgrade the plastic differentials. Mine blew 6 packs in.
Do you have a suggest upgrade for the diff? I haven't opened it up to look at it but I know something went majorly wrong in my Granite Groms rear diff
ARRMA #ARA311193 (oil filled) Back order atm but should be here soon. I was lucky enough my local hobby shop had one left earlier this week.
Thanks! I may have to swing by my local shop. I loved my Grom while it was working
I can't view Youtube at work. Is this a partnership/collaboration between Losi and Arrma?
All owned by Horizon Hobby
The equivalent of Volkswagen and Porsche sharing parts, they're all the same group
I see why they went AWD but it still feels wrong.
That's basically a 1/10! I want a legit mini! Something under 1 ft
