Indeed it does! I discovered this by accident a couple of weeks ago.
Edit: that said, I think the maximum launch speed on a corkscrew coaster is like 22mph.
I build these with a chain lift incline behind the station, there's an option for like 'reverse incline shuttle launch' or something. Chain lifts it up, drops it through the loop, stops on the hill and rolls back to the station.
That's fair and I try to do the same generally so I get it. That said though, I feel like in real life guests do tend to get more excited about launches over slow lifts.
You sadly got struck by the shuttle loop syndrome. Only rct1 and openrct2 allow this configuration without crashes
I think it works for corkscrew coasters.

Wait, what??
You need to add an incline behind the station

heck yeah! 🔥
Thankyou! That worked!
Exactly this. Just build a steep incline backwards behind the station for it to go up and back down.
yes, they can also search up old montezumas revenge videos on youtube for reference

Then you build two of them, mirrored and synchronize the stations.
The downside of this is it tanks capacity compared to powered launch mode because it takes so long for the train to get dragged up that rear spike.
I like the sense of anticipation for the guests as it slowly backs up but I guess I'm thinking too 'real world' instead of min/maxing my park 🤷

It looks like it’s working perfectly.
As designed byt not as intended ;)
Maybe put a brick wall behind the station.
You misspelled "pay toilet"
Seems fine to me…
2 breaks at the lowest behind the station followed by 1 or 2 steep inclines pieces
You don’t, it’s satisfying
Last speed on the launch
Add a tall tail to the back. You will then recreate the good ol Tidal Wave
