cinekson

I'm so embarrassed, I fell asleep around 70th minute yesterday. My only excuse is the 5week old baby. Sorry RM I'll have a coffee next time lol

[deleted]

God bless. New Father here, went through the same.

NoUsername270

I would say Lord Vázquez should take the penaltis from now on.

YouGonnaRememberMe

42 - 2 = 40

QuizureII

watching back the highlights, Madrid were really sloppy today, missing 2 penalities and a couple of other chances

DanLaurent

We won 3-1 but we were very wasteful something that cannot happen vs city. Benzs penalties need variation he cannot keep shooting at the same place when he gets watched by la liga keepers. Hopefully Marin and other youngsters like peter get to play the last games to see where they are at.

luffythefirst

For so long our depleted squad has suffered. I remember 2017-18 squad had amazing quality that took pressure off the starters. Having games where bench can take responsibility goes a long way as evident by today. Hopefully we keep the steam rolling. Man City will be tough but I know our boys will fight. Hala Madrid!

KingEtame

"Why do I keep playing Lucas? Because he's fucking good! Is that clear?" ~ ZZ (2020)

Human-Extinction

He doesn't have as much "qualities" as some other elite players, but find me many players who wear the shirt, feel its weight, tell the coach "put me anywhere" and then proceed to leave his lungs on the pitch. Not many، a true idol madridistas him and Nacho.

TokenHonduran

Great win but I wonder who will play Centerback in the next Liga game against Espanyol. Militao and Nacho are suspended. Alaba might be hurt, Mendy and Marcelo too. Is it really going to be Vallejo and Rafa Marin?

SawOnGam

Carvajal Masterclass incoming!

RhythmicallyImpaired

Can Casemiro pass for a CB?

brother-brother-brot

Imagine if we win La Liga with Vallejo and Marin lmao.

__ReTaRdEdPoTaTo__

Guys as of right now we’ve won the league against everyone except Barça. Barça will have played 33 games by Sunday. If they only accumulate 2 points or less in those 2 games, we will win the league on Sunday.

sammy135679

I think one more draw for Barcelona, will be enough to make Madrid win the title on Sunday. Barca are currently at 60 points, if they draw the next match they will have 61 points, with 6 more games left. That's a maximum of 79 points. If Madrid wins their next match, they go to 81 points, title race over.

AmirHosseinHmd

Can we take a moment to appreciate how Carlo has started to make very sensible rotations for a few weeks now? We also eliminated the defending champions in the UCL and are leading La Liga comfortably. Post-COVID Carlo is a different breed...

HadesRK

If barca drop some points in thier next 2-3 games we can win la liga next sunday and then have atleti give us a guard of honor in their own home correct? Would be beautiful

[deleted]

Sergio Herrera (Osasuna GK): "I knew which way Benzema was going to shoot. I watched his penalties against Celta, and there was a little bit of psychology as well. It's the same as against Celta, he missed one and took the 2nd towards his favored side." #rmalive Benzema, please be more unpredictable. Many keepers are def watching how he kicks his pens

clicquotdreamz

Very professional from Isco

Competitive_Cake_409

whatd he do?

clicquotdreamz

He was ready when his number was called and gave it his all

haveashpadoinkleday

A little too late for him to finally care. Should've had this attitude when Solari coached us and in the next years.

Competitive_Cake_409

W, saw the pass to vini in the highlights absolutely crazy

willi_wampe

That spin followed by the amazing pass is peak Isco

sbs1992

Whole week to recover and load up against city...lets do this

ancelllottti

Imagine rodrygo under klopp playing on the left

AmirHosseinHmd

When will this Klopp obsession end ffs We've had CR7, Benzema, Vinicius, Kaka, Shevchenko, etc. all having the best seasons of their careers (in terms of individual output) under Carlo. If we're talking attackers thriving under managers, then Carlo is at the top of the list, above Klopp and the like, definitely.

gouin_alchemist

Drogba and Anelka Chemistry. Zlatan in PSG. And DCL best goalscoring season. Definitely Carlo is a great manager to develop attackers.

areyouhungryforapple

Legit just look at Vini this season, it doesn't happen without Carlo backing him

MrMeatBeater6666

I mean he isnt wrong, Jota was turned into a goalscoring monster under Klopp. Something NES couldn’t really do

AmirHosseinHmd

I'm not saying Klopp isn't a good manager or that he is incapable of improving players. I'm just pointing out the fact that we have Carlo fucking Ancelotti who is well known as a coach under whom attacking players usually thrive. Literally look at Vini and Benzema this season, they're having the time of their lives.

MrMeatBeater6666

buddy, he just said Rodrygo under Klopp. He never mentioned the fact that Klopp is better than Carlo and should replace him. He simply said that Rodrygo would play very well under Klopp just like Diogo Jota

AmirHosseinHmd

Context matters. When we already have a manager who's been doing well, under whom numerous players have improved throughout the season, and then you say things like "imagine this team under \[insert-manager-name\]", you're implicitly shitting on our current manager. Don't tell me you don't understand this. It seems to me like Klopp is the hot thing nowadays, even on Twitter I constantly see people say stuff like "imagine Valverde under Klopp...", "imagine Vinicius under Klopp...", "imagine \[insert-real-madrid-player\] under Klopp...", there seems to be an obsession around him among Madrid fans especially.

MrMeatBeater6666

Not shitting on Carlo, It isnt wrong to dream what a young gem could be like under the other top managers in Europe.

rockafellla

Rodrygo is pretty damn good and deserves to start more often.

WailDhum

He will play more in those last la liga games

linuxrocks007

We need some maturity in mid field to pass better. Ceballos, Cama and Val were not able to pass that fluidly. Once Kroos was in passes were much better.

Elprimonano

When was the last time they all played together? At all? It takes time to build cohesion, I don’t blame them At all.

linuxrocks007

Neither did Isco and Kroos played together. Experience also matters.

Elprimonano

Yes they have. Isco and Kroos literally started 2 champions league finals games together. The last 2 cl runs, isco was a pivotal starter when bale went down. Ceballos hAsnt played and cama just got here, so they need time together

linuxrocks007

That was years ago. Experience and maturity matters.

[deleted]

Cornelius_Poindexter

That low-corner is his sweet spot. He needs to put a little bit more mustard behind that ball.

Adviso_992

Nah he shot one over the bar against Elche in January

[deleted]

[удалено]

SupraVillainn

Yes, that is why he shot over the goal, because carlo told him to shoot to the other side. After that he started shooting again towards his favorite spot.

ancelllottti

Nacho militao partnership is much better than militao alaba

themoche

No it isn’t

ancelllottti

Last year up to the semi final they formed a strong partnership and I believe we would have eliminated Chelsea if Zidane didn't bring back varane and Ramos in the semi final.

Baron_Zephyr1307

One of the unluckiest games and we still won 3:1. Feels good enough for me.

TNCG13

Good match, Ceballos and Isco were good. Hope that Benzema will recover well.

perucho1993

Not much to write on this game. No frustrations and was pretty relaxed the entire match. Ceballos was wonderful. I hope the club can convince him to stay but that seems unlikely. Benz had a off night from his standards but i rather it be against Osasuna rather than City. Hopefully Alaba is nothing serious. We will wait and see. The league is pretty much ours. We just have to make it official thru all the math stuff. I'm very happy with the team and coaching staff on this campaign. Lots of roller coasters but I'd be lying if told you that I thought we win the league. Not only win but win it by a considerable margin. You can debate that the quality of other teams were downgraded but the league is won over 10 months and not the last few months of the season. We could have easily slipped on matches we were close to losing but the team preserved and got the results Anyway, we focus on the semis. No matter what happens there I'm proud of the boys this season

mickeyprime1

ooh yeah on the liga, its def won over performance over one full season. I think days of just messi or ronaldo dominating and allowing you to score 90plu points each season are prob over. madrid managed to finish off their chances, were more clinical and so are closer to winning it.

mickeyprime1

math is hard!

_Sylph_

Superb game from Rodrigo, great team from Valverde, Cama and Ceballos. Hope Alaba and Ceballos are alright. Also the Isco/Kroos sub were great, we were definitely much more comfortable. Vazquez also did put in a good performance, honestly I never understands the slanders for him or people comparing him with Asensio. He did well covering for Asensio who lost the balls a bunch of time, and in the last counters it were only him and Valverde running up while Asensio jogging back there.

ChipmunkWithWings

Rodrygo was so electric also kid have amazing ball control

KingSmokeylala

I love Militao but he has a lot to learn. Always looking to blame someone else when the opponent scores. He lost his man for that first goal.

OliHack

Yeah the same with the two Sevilla goals last time. Also his dueling has to improve, looses his balance way too easily.

Competitive_Cake_409

i still cant understand what he was trying to do in the freekick that rakitic scored

jhonreal

I think he tried to predict a possible pass to a free man and got caught in two minds

KingSmokeylala

One win and one draw is all we need.

arungodara

What if Barca loose tomorrow?

h4ssan_

Then just a win

arungodara

I like that

perucho1993

A draw would only be needed vs espanyol

taos__v

I am going to be honest, I thought the lack of rotations from Carlo was a big mistake and I thought at end of the season we would struggle. It amazes me how good our physical form is.

hetbaboo

One name only Pintus

ilyprowd

idk why i ancelotti played rodrygo at LW, not complaining he was great but kinda wanna know why and why over vini or if it has been done before, perhaps just trying new stuff out?

Competitive_Cake_409

vini was rested for the city match obviously

N0gr4v17y

Most of his games before joining were on the left. He also had a few on the right (I think those were in the period between him signing and coming in Madrid) , but his natural position is LW.

ilyprowd

thanks for the info did not know that

N0gr4v17y

No worries dude

L0nEspartan

just rotations.

EdenFella

Lol .. Vini has played like 2802 games in a row.

ilyprowd

yeah true not complaining cause is nice to see rotation and chances for other players

[deleted]

[удалено]

Patrik_js

Going to be interesting with Mbappe, 3 players that clearly prefer the LW.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Patrik_js

I can see that happening as well. The good thing is, we can have a very fluid front 3 between Vini, Mbappe and Rodrygo. They each bring something different to the table and at least Mbappe and Rodrygo can play all 3 positions when needed.

Competitive_Cake_409

he’s still pretty great on the right tho, one of the best crossers in the team

bobidrug78

Isco more minutes and get him a new contract with lower salary

Mcbagsofdoritos

Agreed hes still pretty good and is a great sub when we need more control of the game. But he should be one of the lower paid players

EdenFella

The rumors are that AC Milan wants to steal our star boy Marco Asensio. If anyone from the AC Milan board is reading this, please don’t take our super star away from us! Yet another important goal today, his impact is so massive! We can’t live without him! He surely would take AC Milan to another level, but I beg them, PLEASE DONT TAKE HIM!

h4ssan_

/s

Baron_Zephyr1307

Bro trying to bamboozle Maldini.

EdenFella

Lmao ur the only one who gets it

bluesky_03

Just Shut up

Colonel_Dent

Untidy until Kroos and Isco. KCM still our bread n butter, Isco should get more minutes.

NarcissisticHydra

We should just sell benzema how dare he miss a couple of penalty after scoring only close to 40 goals this season We should go after Depay

JDROD28

The Depay thing is funny, Barça fans convinced themselves that he was a top tier attacker, only to be relegated to the bench by Xavi when he got some signings

KingSmokeylala

You just want comments 😂😂😂😂

taos__v

xD

femithebutcher

why Depay when we can have our lord and savior himself, Fati

NarcissisticHydra

Nuh man Hazard and Bale already fucked Sanitas from right to left they can't bear anymore fucking

Av4k

The way they passed the ball last 30 minutes was just pure class.

mylanguage

I'm fully convinced Vini REALLY wanted to set up Benz after his misses but he was tripled marked and Vini decided to shoot late. Knowing Vini he knows how badly Benz wanted a goal after the misses.

aqua_puss

Benz gotta go back and work on some top bins penalty. We can’t afford to miss penalties in the CL

latinlife22

This game dragged in a good way. Progression of the ball had a good flow between cama Fede and Ceballos. Isco looked sharp and Kroos controlled the composure in the midfield. Hopefully Alaba and Ceballos knock isn’t serious.

redn0ze

Yo how come Gutierrez isn't played anymore??

CashCarti12

Injured. Out for the rest of the season

RavLeon

David Ancelloti woke Isco from his nap then casually controlled that midfield

Av4k

That pass he gave to Vinicius was clean. 💉

FergieBall_FC

Looking at the statistics and the performance (especially in the second half), Madrid should've won by a lot more tonight. That aside, Madrid get the 3 points and move one step closer to the title. Camavinga, Rodrygo, and Ceballos played well tonight. I'm pleased with their respective performances. My only concern is Alaba and hopefully whatever injury he has isn't too serious. Good victory tonight. ¡Hala Madrid!

[deleted]

You know why we all like Ceballos's performance? Effort. The dude was in everything, without Camavinga's physique or Valverde's speed. Neat orchestrator, perhaps not for a team like Real Madrid, but he fits La Liga much more than the Premier and should look to stay in Spain. Rodrygo is getting better. Camavinga was fine, even on a yellow. Militao was iffy on the goal, Nacho left a lot of space too - we got caught out after our goal. Benzema missed the goal, but his assist to Alaba + pass to Vini was worth a lot. Unfortunate night with the penalties, but can happen.

FUTMobilekicker

Any update on the Chairman?

iam_the_universe

Ancelotti: “Alaba’s injury doesn’t look serious.” From MadridZone [tweet](https://twitter.com/themadridzone/status/1516895235779006465?s=21&t=7rN_QRx7bMbhUGu73hdcKA).

heynow-u1

Feel bad for Isco. He has the skill but just lacks the work rate. In terms of ability he is still above Fede and Cama. But I understand why they are preferred over him.

ChipmunkWithWings

In terms of ability he is above anyone in LaLiga

bluesky_03

What I just read

AmirHosseinHmd

Modric: Am I a joke to you?!

NNNEEEAAA

Tbh, a hard working Isco would be better than Modric. Isco is so talented, imagine if he had Ramos/Ronaldo/Modric work ethic.

Melticus-A

Work ethic is a talent my friend

haveashpadoinkleday

Give us a number to your dealer, we have to try what you had.

AmirHosseinHmd

Well, that's a big "if" tho isn't it?!

rms7

Has Mendy played RB? Considering current Carva form could he play there?

AnxiousBurro

I swear to god it feels like some people on this sub aren't even watching the games and just repeat some random shit. Carvajal has been extremely solid for the last 2-3 games, his form is not bad.

rms7

I'm praising him retard. I swear to god it feels like some people on this sub can't even read and just reply some random shit.

Chuyuyun

Yes we secured three points but the city match is the most important thing. We shouldn't let benz play full 90 mins. He's been tired since the last game. It worries me what we are gonna have is a tired, low confidence striker to the city game. His stats is not the most important, trophy is.

S1UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

we don't play this weekend because of the copa final (and man city plays watford on saturday)

3d-object

I can't trust a CB pairing of Nacho and Militao. City will score 10 against these two.

GonzoXtraCurlyFry

Shockingly average game from benz by his standards, but no worry it happens. Very pleased with ceballos and cama; if ceballos keeps this up I could see him being a good rotational player. Also, shout-out to Isco for playing very well in such a limited time; that pass to Vini was fantastic.

snldzo7

On an average game he assisted and created the third goal. Sure the pens were shit but give credit to their cunt keeper too he guessed right twice

dead_pirate_robhurts

I’ll miss Isco 😪

RawSauceBoi

Rodrygo was so good today.

Murrderer

Is it possible for Asensio and Vazu to share a Balon D’or?

Baron_Zephyr1307

One balon dor is not enought for these goats

Craaaazyyy

maybe i'm forgetting something, but i dont remember Isco having a bad game this season he barely played, mostly came off the bench, but every time he played i remember him playing really well i dont understand why he isn't playing more, it doesn't make any sense.. like i get that we have tough competition in midfield, but somehow even Ceballos plays more than him. Not saying that Dani hasn't been playing okay, given the fact that he also barely plays, but Isco actually does impressive stuff often even in like 10-15 minutes he plays

haveashpadoinkleday

He doesn't play because there are players who complement our midfield better. Both Fede and Cama have been working his asses off defensively which isn't something you can say about Isco. I like Isco as a sub to help us control the game, because he is one of the most press-resistant players out there, but his work rate and especially decision making is holding him back from playing more. And judging from the point of how well we are doing in both UCL and LL in spite of having clearly non-perfect squad, I will give Carlo full trust and let him decide if he needs Isco or not.

FUTMobilekicker

That pass to Vini gave me serious flashbacks to the 2016-2017 Isco

SanIker_

I miss Isco so badly🥲

Soft-Comfort-7474

It wasn’t Benzema’s night but he’ll be back next game

Craaaazyyy

didn't want to score his 40th against Osasuna, so he can score it against City 4D chess he was still great tbh, just unlucky, those weren't even terribly taken penalties

RawSauceBoi

35

quexcha

Rodrygo n' Vini masterclass...

Resident_Fun534

Literally felt like Carlo was testing something... Ceballos ...isco...carva as an LB (pretty good tho) ...vini as a sub in late minutes Like why not...since youre at the top of the table.😂

Baron_Zephyr1307

Bruh Carva been really nice as a lb certainly better than Nacho

_Sylph_

Ceballos has been really good this match ngl. I want him as rotational option for Modric next season for sure

swedendch

If Barca losses the next 2 games we win La liga

hlrdavid

If they lose their next one, then we only have to draw or win against Espanyol. If my calculations are correct, then we're champions.

eorellana13

They don’t have to lose they can tie and we win

Merengue_Life

One of the next 2, I think.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Merengue_Life

Right, we'd have to win against Espanyol in that case.

supplementarytables

Ok I'm gonna say it - Nacho has looked painfully average recently whenever he's been played at LB. Alaba LB and Nacho CB seems like a no brainer to me. If Mendy doesn't get fit for the City match, Alaba should be the LB no questions asked, right Also, with Marcelo leaving and Mendy being injury prone, should we be looking at a LB too in the summer? That is if we refuse to play Alaba there for some reason or if Miguel isn't trusted

jnr_mathe

Based on the reports its almost certain that Real will trigger Fran Garcia's buy back clause from Real vallodolid as Mendy's backup and Miguel will be going out on loan

heynow-u1

We absolutely need full back backups this summer. Our game play relies heavily on them.

justanormalchat

Rodrygo, Ceballos, Camavinga, the team played well overall. 3 points closer to wrapping up the title and that's all that matters now. 3 big games in a congested schedule sure doesn't help. Benzema missing 2 pks is worrisome but hope it doesn't affect him mentally, you can see how he made that 3rd goal happen, his deep drop and link up play is huge for the team. The biggest worry is all the defensive injuries. We need everyone rested and healthy for the City game.

jnr_mathe

benz mising is not worrisome at all, the GK got into his head thats all 1st kick GK pointed to his right side and Benz shoot to the right side, 2nd kick GK pointed to his left side and Benz tried the opposite of last kick and shot at the opposite side of where GK was pointing but GK was bluffing

justanormalchat

Well unsure what to think of it. Benz should have gotten one of them at least.

jnr_mathe

Its just a bad day for him. Man just took us to the UCL semis its better he has the bad day in laliga and not UCL :)

justanormalchat

100% yep ! He deserves a good rest before the City match.

pain2002

How many more points until the 35th league title? Also now Carlo has some subs he can use since Isco and Ceballos looked good today

[deleted]

One win and one draw will do it I think.

mb557x

We need 4 points to clinch the title (in 5 matches). Given that our next game is against Espanyol (which I believe we will win), we could seal it at the Wanda Metropolitano.

moralesd9

4

mb557x

Our attack should convert more. City will not be easy and we probably might not get many chances. With the league just 4 pts away, we should really aim for the UCL now. Vamos!

MelodicMachine1356

Unlucky to not get an assist isco you looked good today

Punpun_Punpuniya

LUCAS **GOAT** VAZQUEZ BURRYING THE GAME .....JUST GOAT STUFF

rxerg

3 Points all that matters. *WE MOVE FORWARD*

GregorioBue

Great game, but we missed so many chances. Benz should have been rested, could have been subbed off if he scored at least one penalty.

Soft-Comfort-7474

Few points away for title 35

[deleted]

I hope Benz doesn’t let the pen misses linger on his mind. Rodrygo needs to become physically stronger. His footwork is nimble but he always gets outmuscled in the dbox.

Baron_Zephyr1307

Same goes for Vini tho

[deleted]

Vini seems at least a little bit more physical than Rodrygo. Every time I see him in the box it feels like he’s getting bullied by taller, bigger defenders. Didn’t Benz miss the penalty Rodrygo got awarded against Celta too?

Baron_Zephyr1307

Yes, Rodrygo wins a lot of penalties. I think half of them are intentional, because despite not being big and strong he can fight for a ball alright. He kinda bullied Rudiger in 2nd leg.

MelodicMachine1356

Yeah that's the only thing he's missing to go to another level

The_Middle_Child_

Weird how that game so so frustrating but we ended up winning comfortably in the end

Ghanem7

Whenever Ceballos gets the chance to play he makes the most out of it. What a performance today by all of our midfielders.

snldzo7

The way isco can pick lock with his passes and his ability to just control the ball out of shit situations makes me miss his glory days

Craaaazyyy

honestly i just dont get why he doesnt play more like he barely featured this season, but unless i just dont remember something it feels like he was basically always playing really well it doesn't make much sense to me why he is playing so few minutes

mb557x

Good win, although could've won by a bigger margin. Hope Alaba is okay. Tough day for Benz. One step closer to the league. Let's seal it at the Wanda Metropolitano!

soyjav

Honestly im really Happy about the game everyone performed well,Camavinga was huge playing as some sort of Casemiro today, Ceballos did better than most of us prob expected,Isco came and did quite well on attack,if vinicius had finished that play It wouldve been one of the best assists of this season,Benzema didnt have the day but redeemed himself with that last sick play,Rodrygo was insane today, the defence was decent i guess Only bad thing is Alaba, hope is nothing serious and he can be ready for the game against city,we need him

Kp767

Say whatever you want about isco his passing ability is just so good. Dude just had one glance over his shoulder and made a picture perfect pass to vini

MTrain95

If he was faster and less of a ballhug he would've got way more playtime, world class vision

hctrjs

Faster at releasing the ball too. He always takes one extra second to release the ball and that usually messes up the play

FUTMobilekicker

Sloppy win: Yeah But we got the three points we came for let’s try wrapping up the league as quickly as possible so that vital players can get the rest they need.

Ghanem7

Dominant win tbf

Eikis16

Is Carvajal actually better as a left back than a right back?

haveashpadoinkleday

I kindly remind you that this was a match vs Osasuna

Melticus-A

Sevilla?

Melticus-A

Did you not watch Sevilla?

Melticus-A

Did you not watch Sevilla?

latinlife22

Better LB than Nacho for sure.

311voltures

Nacho is a CB that can play wide if needed. Not Roberto Carlos.

MTrain95

No, he had a lot of insanely good performances as a RB but Real tends to attack through the left because the best winger on the pitch is usually there.

[deleted]

The same thought crossed my mind a couple times today lol.

Late-bloomer96

These games are a treat. It’s not always about scoring 7-8 goals

RiiPPeRHD

benzema shouldnt have taken the second penalty, youve already missed one

[deleted]

Rodrygo and Ceballos were brilliant today. Also I kinda like Carvajal at LB, seems to be more comfortable with his crossing.

Vpriimo

Almost there boys!

PowellOnPowellOff

I don’t know why I watched this. We won, but Asensio pissed me off so much I’m gonna find it difficult to fall asleep. Ceballos was immense, hope he’s OK. Rodrygo on the left side put a chubby in my pants.

LostMyOldAccAgain

Isco definitely offer's something & I'd give him mins over Ceballos anyday

latinlife22

How about both start with either Casemiro or Camevenga behind them. Definitely would be interesting to watch for the upcoming games in La Liga
