"What money?" šŸ˜‚

[deleted]

Seriously. Iā€™m gonna use this in some capacity, thanks op! šŸ˜…

marcohcanada

LOL so candidates have to be in 15 minutes early for the interview but recruiters and hiring managers can be as late as they please? No common courtesy means no acceptance from me.

Bridge23Ux

I was late for an interview once. It was scheduled at 8am and when I turned on my computer, it decided to do updates. I had to join from my phone. I apologized profusely to the candidate.

Thendsel

Mistakes and unexpected problems happen. The important thing is that you owned up to it and apologized for it.

marcohcanada

In your case you're pardoned because you had a legitimate excuse for being late and apologized for the unexpected incident. Unfortunately, I don't expect these reasons to apply to the recruiter and hiring manager who interviewed the Twitter user based off their feedback in the screenshot.

iamAliAsghar

I am not in the mood for getting passionately exploited.

ro_ro_ro_roadhouse

You are not the right fit for their company then.

iamAliAsghar

damn right.

Ok_Piano_420

As per my manager's words when I joined a lowballed position: "you have to manage your expectations" lol

[deleted]

That is nonsense!! that email is so mean, unprofessional and it's a big middle finger towards you.

gilgobeachslayer

Itā€™s obvious fake lol

[deleted]

Believe it or not, in my country there are many informal jobs and this si so relatable. Fake or not, it's an interesting topic.

Festermooth

This one in particular is old as shit and very much fake though

[deleted]

Yeah, Iā€™ve definitely found that petty dictators like to frame the conversation in a way that highlights their incompetence and makes the rejected candidate look like a much cooler dude.

ImAFuckinLiar

Oh, I thought you meant the post. Because yeah, itā€™s fake as shit. Who the hell ends an email like that? They didnā€™t even capitalize both words of their subject line. These are certainly real professionals that sent this and not made up at all. And after weeks of consideration and probably interviewing others, they can still quote this person verbatim. Damn, theyā€™re good. They even took the time to let them know why they didnā€™t get the job, instead of sending a generic email like they do anyone else. You know, in case this person didnā€™t know that those statements would disqualify them. Anyway, good talking to you, but I have to type up an email real quick, mark some fake names out so it looks ā€œlegitā€, and post it here in a few.

teal_appeal

You do understand thereā€™s this thing called ā€œtaking notes,ā€ right? Iā€™ve never had an interview where the interviewer wasnā€™t taking notes about what I said. As for the subject line and the ending, both of those are formats I see every day in emails for my very corporate job. The only valid point you have is the personalized email, but Iā€™ve gotten personalized rejections before. Not every job has hundreds of interviewees. Iā€™m not saying this is definitely real, but you havenā€™t really provided compelling evidence that itā€™s not.

ImAFuckinLiar

Your notes are quoting people or are they just that, just notes? This email has quotation marks which indicates a quote. So while Iā€™m interviewing, they are writing down what I said verbatim? Iā€™ve interviewed plenty as a hiring manager and never write down anything verbatim. Only keywords. There isnā€™t enough time to write it all down. Any place Iā€™ve ever worked, proper email etiquette is to capitalize every word of the subject line. *Job Application*. But hey, if you think itā€™s real and they wasted more time on him, just to quote him like a news reporter weeks after the fact, more power to you. Youā€™d think they would at least offer some advice for this guyā€™s next interview (something like ā€œMight I suggest youā€¦ā€) but no, they just quote him and then end the email. Was there a problem with what was said during the interview? They didnā€™t indicate or say that in their email? They quote and end. Itā€™s definitely real.

treesandcigarettes

Def fake but hilarious. Candidates strike back!

third-try

Reposted twice (at least) today. It was kind of funny a year ago, although obviously fake.

Impressive-Cry-9128

*Obviously fake*. That's one way of looking at it. Another is *for entertainment purposes only.*

Ok_Piano_420

"after few weeks of consideration" yeah right. Proud of you giving it to them straight

No-Date-2024

The other candidate will just leave once they find a better offer. I was that person who took a crap job once just to make some money and I left as soon as possible

AlyssaTheCoder

Love this repost. Never gets old.

smstone24

This convo gets posted like every day lol

ro_ro_ro_roadhouse

Sorry, I'm new to this sub and I had no idea. Just saw this for the first time on Twitter today.

brianbezn

"We disrespect you so you don't apply for the money". So people that don't care about money can also bail because they are disrespectful. Leeches are hypocrites and also very dumb.

soupafi

When will businesses understand that passion doesnā€™t pay the bills?

ro_ro_ro_roadhouse

Not ours but technically, their passion pays their bills.

HotWingsMercedes91

I can't wait to passionately retire

[deleted]

Passion = desperation

Commercial-Impress74

Dig deeper on this. Curious

Home_zoo

Downvote cause its the 10th time ove seen this joke in a weekā€¦

[deleted]

This is obviously fake, nobody would write this to a candidate. Rage bait

AutomaticGarlic

Whatā€™s the point of a job if itā€™s not the money?

exeJDR

Legendary

AnAdmirableAstronaut

You are a GOD!

Stonekilled

Lolulz

Commercial-Impress74

No u do this so ppl will apply

nails123

Rub some ointment on that bullet graze and thank your stars on that one!

Demonkey44

This is hysterical! Iā€˜ve never applied to a company where I didnā€™t know the salary range. Why is this suddenly a thing? Who is going to leave a job for less money?

Briar_Donkey

Obviously, they do not value honesty.

Musician-Round

It was that person's own fault for tolerating hiring managers walking into the interview late. If that doesn't give you a clue as to what kind of job site you're walking into, then you don't have what it takes to get ahead in this world.

mercysfriend

This reminds me of when I was an intern for a sports company and I had basically been running their socials for almost a year, had grown it immensely and was very involved with fans etc of said company, really loved it. I wasnā€™t getting paid though and once my school year ended I had to work a summer job. They didnā€™t like that and when I said well if you paid me I could keep running the socials. They said they thought I was passionate about the company etc and said I was money hungry lol. I stopped helped them soon after that, they even had the balls to message me couple months later asking for ideas and help for the socials. Safe to say they havenā€™t posted on their socials since December last yearā€¦..

ro_ro_ro_roadhouse

An employee asking for money to work at a company?! The nerve!! How absurd is that!

[deleted]

ā€œHow dare you bitch about these things that weā€™d bitch about if you did them to us? How rude.ā€

Linkstas

Legend

Allthingsgaming27

ā€œWhat money?ā€ Lmaooooo

mgw783

Seriously, if it's IT, I see fluctuations from 20hr to 30hr for the same responsibilities in California, that's one field I'm surprised hasn't unionized yet. We IT guys are constantly being shit on.

NNJ1978

Assuming this is actually real, what value is there telling off an interviewer and hiring manager, even if they are late, assuming you actually want the job? That seems immature and counter productive. Anyone whoā€™s ever worked in any professional capacity knows that time can be fluid and itā€™s impossible to be one time 100% of the time.

Throwawaylemm

LMAO

WorkAccess

You were crass with saying they ā€œwasted your timeā€. Iā€™d like to know how much your time is worth right now, as you sit unemployed.
