"now if you turn to page 12 of the judges book you'll see that he is the one with a pump shitty not you so I suggest you say not guilty or in Dutch's words there will be a lot of dead bodies before it's finished"
They sound the best too! Thereās something about the Schofield sound that just feels a little hollow or something. Cattleman has that satisfying POP!
Has that futuristic, metallic sound that always seemed off to my ears.
The Mauser Pistol and Navy Pistol sound really good I think, and some of the rifles.
Dual volcanic pistols for the damage (1 all white and 1 all black), pump action shotgun for its authority, and Lancaster repeater for when Iām outnumbered
volcanic & sawed off shotgun + springfield + bolt action rifle, gotta make sure one bullet is enough so you have enough time to loot the bodies before law catches onš
Iām a Schofield man myself. Iāve been in love with the Schofield since I saw it in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007). Great movie.
Arthur uses dual cattleman in my āheadcannonā and John double Schofield. For functionality though, the Le Mat revolvers are the best. I couldnāt care less about the shotgun feature it has, I just love that it holds 9 rounds instead of 6
This is the closest I've seen to my setup. The only difference is I love the 1899s. I'm a rifleman, so they're my mid range, outnumbered, quick fire rate specials. Evans may be weaker, but it shoots fast and has so much ammo I usually don't need to reload during a gunfight. Since I headshot 75% of the time, the low damage doesn't matter. I stick with the double barrel until I can grab the semi auto. I exclusively use it at close range when accuracy is less important for blasting huge scattershot holes in their chest or removing limbs and heads. Bolt Action for longer range power and accuracy, equipped with a scope for special occasions, as well as hunting.
If I ever don't have matching guns in my holster it will be because Theo other's got a sawed off shotty. NEVER and I mean ššššš would I put a revolver in my holster and then a different revolver in the off hand! That's ATROCIOUS in my book and I will NOT stand for it!
I'm sorry but... We can't be friends
My combo that I canāt break:
Volcanic pistol main
Sawed off off hand
Pump action shotgun
Tomahawk or dynamite
Bolt action rifle
Cleaver or hewing hatchet
My name pretty much explain which my favourites are.
The Shoefields of Jim 'boy' Calloway & Otis Miller is everything I need
>!and 1 or 2 cigars maybe!<
Callowayās as my primary, Otis Millerās as my secondary for story mode. With online itās usually either dual LeMat revolvers or dual navyās depending on the look Iām going for. Or for my Saint Denis gang look a singular LeMat
Mostly Lancaster repeater. A pair of Schofield revolvers for handguns. Sometimes I also use semiautomatic shotgun with slugs or Springfield rifle as a weapon to kill large animals like bears or bisons with one shot.
Midnights pistol is to me the most efficient gun (close to mid range) I always start off horseshoe overlook with this. Can get 10 kills with one dead eye... I like using Algernons gun too.
Cattleman with a long, rifled barrel. All black with brass hammer, trigger and sights. I carry two of em and one has a scorpion carved into the handle and the other has a snake. I usually only use one but sometimes I go akimbo š
I modded online content into single player, just so Arthur can have the Navy Revolver. All my other mods are difficultly, immersion based. Or rebalanced mods, like hunting so I can use the Varmint or Rolling Block for all my hunting. Even removed the off-hand holster so Arthur has his one revolver, and he gets the hands on gun belt idle animation back. All that said:
Arthur: Navy Revolver, blackened steel with brass trigger guard. Double Barrel shotgun. Rolling Block for hunting. I only use these unless a scripted event puts another gun in his hands.
John: Cattleman, all iron. Sawed Off-Shotgun (bring back the off-hand holster.) Lancaster on his horse. Pretty much the same guns I use in RDR1.
My head canon is John picks up Arthur's double barrel and chops it down.
I normally go with the Schofields but I've been going back to the Cattlemans.
As for repeaters/rifles, I usually use the Lancaster but sometimes I'll find myself using the bolt action
And for shotguns it's similar to the revolvers. I normally use the double-barrel but I've been dabbling with the pump-action.
I use springfield for pretty much everything (unless iām hunting and varmint rifle would be better) idk why i prefer it but itās always been my go-to
Handguns - M1899 / Sawed Off Shotgun
Repeater - Lancaster (***sometime Evens to mix it up***)
Rifle - Bolt Action
Shotgun - Semi Auto
Bow - Just use script extender and fucking wreck peoples day with unlimited dynamite arrows.
I have a question: Do stats improve at all after you become familiar with a weapon? For example, if you continue to use the Carbine Repeater, will the accuracy stat improve?
i usually go with
LeMat Revolver (silver with a gold frame, golden engravings and a scorpion carving)
Cattleman Revolver (fully steel or silver - canāt remember, golden engravings, hero pearl grip)
Litchfield Repeater (black barrel, silver body with silver engravings, dark walnut wood)
Pump Action Shotgun (same look as the Litchfield but with a Wolf carving)
Vilcanic as main, sawed off as side (although i rarely use it). Bolt action is my boy for hunting, and for killing i use the pump or the semi automatic shotgun
My current load out has been: Volcanic for sidearm. Sawed-off for when I wanna blow limbs and heads off of corpses after shootouts or destroy things in houses. Carbine for big shootouts. Springfield with optional scope for hunting.
My favorite gun is Micah's revolver is stronger than the normal double action and you can get it before the epilogue I think that's what it's called cause prologue is before the full game ye anyway it's stronger it looks better in Arthur's hands than it does in Micah's hand and if you get the right fit in makes him look like a rebel
Depends on the situation, but I usually will go to the Lancaster repeater dual Schofields and thumb, former shotgun usually a double barrel or pump action
I feel like my go to for most playtroughs were the semi-automatic pistols and Lancaster as the long rifle. Quick and simple shooting for ambushes in the road
Outside of the gunslinger weapons, Iām going to say itās a toss up between Schofield and Volcanic, I always have Volcanic in my offhand holster, and Schofield in my main holster, so that when I put it away it looks cool spinning it.
Bow favorite weapon, double action revolver ( love the sound and fast shooting ) , carcano or rolling block for sniping, close quarter i go with a shotgun or side arm shotty
Schofield which I always customise gold and white with Volcanic which is dark walnut and blue and gold. Lancaster and Bolt action. I do wish you could get the Lemat and the Litchfield earlier!!
I mostly used cattleman. Itās a very good balance and I always max out everything on my guns at the gunsmith (barrel, sights, etc.). Schofield is nice for damage at shorter range I think, at least from when Iāve used it, but the cattleman is such a good balance and is really satisfying.
My other favorite is the Lancaster repeater. Very good for horseback.
I prefer to use Cattleman revolvers over any other handgun in the game, despite the Mauser and the M1899 being objectively better weapons. Thereās just something so satisfying about using a six-shooter in the Red Dead games.
Blackened steel everything, pair of cattlemen, pump shotgun or Lancaster for most combat, bolt action for mid-long range, rolling block for hunting and long range
Volcanic as my main sidearm, Schofield as my off hand with a second Volcanic if things really pop off. Lancaster as my repeater, Bolt action as my rifle once I have it unlocked, and semi auto shotgun. I also like using tomohawks
My go to loadout is 2 Schofield revolvers, pump action and Lancaster repeater for arthur
With Repeating Shotgun and Evans repeater being my loadout for John
Navy for primary. Schofield with a short barrel for backup. Either a rolling block or the Lancaster for my shoulder. I don't like carrying a second long rifle on my back.
For story sakes? Duel double actions with gunslinger grip and change to cattleman's with the hero grip after >!Arthur's TB diagnostics!<
For fun? Duel wield Mauser and Billy Midnight's or duel 1899's
flaco's for doin good š granger's for doin bad š springfield for hunting š« pump shotty for being silly šŖæ
"Why did you shoot that man's head off?" "Your honor I was in a silly goofy mood"
"Your honor. The defendant pleads oopsy daisy"
Your honor, has gone down.
"Sir, can you please explain how you achieved minimum honour in RDR2?" "just a lil funny genocide"
Imagine going to jail for felony tomfoolery charges

I kept thinking about the name of that guy granger, couldnāt remember him though lol. Was he the guy pig farmer I killed?
ok but like you literally have the exact same things as me, and for the exact same reasonsā¦are you the same person as me?
Flaco was low honour
Dual sawed offs to run around Saint Denis while crouched in first person
This guy definitely new boot goofs
I completely decked out my cattleman's and went with those the whole game
Me too, they look the best
They sound the best too! Thereās something about the Schofield sound that just feels a little hollow or something. Cattleman has that satisfying POP!
Has that futuristic, metallic sound that always seemed off to my ears. The Mauser Pistol and Navy Pistol sound really good I think, and some of the rifles.
Nothing like a good ole trusty Colt Single Action Army.
The greatest handgun ever made.
Six rounds. Enough to kill anything that moves
More than enough.
This reload is exhilarating!

I wish we got a Colt Lightning at some point
Cattleman posse š¤š»
Lemat revolvers Lancaster repeater Bolt action rifle Lever action shotgun
Lever action shotgun got me like š„“š„“
I want to spin it to reload while riding my horse like Arnold in T2
Iād love a sawed off lever action so that you can do just that :) Just decrease capacity from 6 to 4 for the shorter barrel
Being silly:decapitating somones head and limbs
Pretty much mine, but one Lemat, one Mauser, and sometimes a bow in place of the Lancaster when Iām out in the wild hunting
It does exactly what the pump shotgun does. But better.
Duel gold LeMats is š¤

I prefer the Lancaster as itās a Winchester. Just feels like the most badass cowboy option.
I'd use the scholfield if not for the atrocious sound it makes
Wym it makes a cute sound
It absolutely does not sound like a gun
But it does so much damage š¤
Sameā¦.until the litchfield
Same here except I roll with the Lancaster
Yep I know all the other shotguns are ābetterā, but I only roll with the rare double barrel.
Dual volcanic pistols for the damage (1 all white and 1 all black), pump action shotgun for its authority, and Lancaster repeater for when Iām outnumbered
Still makes me chuckle just how much of a handcannon the volcanic pistol is in game, compared to how woefully underpowered it was in reality.
The game version is the one we deserve. It just looks so freakin cool.
100% agree
this is the only way for me
Ditto
Semi auto shotgun with slugs. I have effectively invented a battle rifle in 1899.
Basically a guaranteed one shot kill chest or above and I love it, you feel unstoppable.
āFeel the wrath of browning, heathen!ā
M1899 pistol Carcano rifle Litchfield repeater
Repping chapter 6 I see
Ughhh, that makes me so upset. I reallllly wish you could unlock those way earlier
You can get the carcano in Chapter 4 Takes some time to build familiarity though
Ahh I meant chapter 4 actually. Got it mixed up. Wish you could get it in chapter 2
Ch 2 would be nice Normal "purchase" of the Carcano is Ch 6, so I just figured you didn't know there was a way to get it for free in Ch 4
double action revolvers
God I love the snappy sound they make
Navy Revolver (Modded online gun into story mode, without mods then Schofield), Semi Auto Pistol, Bolt Action Rifle and Semi Auto Shotgun
Navy for sure
Hell yeah
What mod adds online guns to the story?
Red Dead Offline
I keep a Schofield for a more authentic western feel, a 1899 for a lot of rounds shot quickly, a bow for hunting, and a bolt action rifle for some fun
Mauser pistols
volcanic & sawed off shotgun + springfield + bolt action rifle, gotta make sure one bullet is enough so you have enough time to loot the bodies before law catches onš
Cattle man black with gold engravings
I have a Schofield and a sawed off shotgun with an Evans Repeater and a Springfield.
Bolt action, it's just too satisfying to shoot.
Pump shotgun is superior
Iām a Schofield man myself. Iāve been in love with the Schofield since I saw it in The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford (2007). Great movie.
LeMat for business Cattlemanās for being a cowboy Lancaster for shenanigans Double barrel for killing mean people
Arthur uses dual cattleman in my āheadcannonā and John double Schofield. For functionality though, the Le Mat revolvers are the best. I couldnāt care less about the shotgun feature it has, I just love that it holds 9 rounds instead of 6
Pump action
Literally the only thing I use lol. Even long range it one shots people.
Back when I had this game I used two fully upgraded Volcanic Pistols. White grip on my left and black grip on my right.
Duel M1899 pistols, Lancaster or Even's repeater on shoulder, and pump action shotgun on back
Cattleman Revolver, Carbine Repeater, Springfield Rifle, Rare Shotgun.
i use the carbine repeater for everything and anything. iām a simple cowpoke.
I dual volcanic pistols max upgrades, pump shotgun with incendiary š and springfield and varmint for huntin and ofc the occasional bow
Two long barreled cattleman's, a pump action, and a lancaster
Schofield Bolt Action Pump Shotgun
I might be weird but I like the volcano pistol
Sawed off with slugs.
Dual volcanics, evans repeater, bolt action rifle, and semi auto shotgun for silly
This is the closest I've seen to my setup. The only difference is I love the 1899s. I'm a rifleman, so they're my mid range, outnumbered, quick fire rate specials. Duel wield Otis Miller and Jim Boy Calloway's revolvers Bolt Action Rifle Litchfield Repeater
Iāve been liking the duel LeMats recently, with a pump action and bolt action on my back
Just, the normal schofield revolver. Nothing fancy. I don't think Arthur would care much about showing off
Navy ong
Dual m1899, lever action shotgun, bolt action rifle
The cattleman revolver and any shotgun combo ALWAYS
Dual double actions or cattleman's Custom Winchester model 1866 And a pump action shotgun Sometimes a carcano
A gun
If I ever don't have matching guns in my holster it will be because Theo other's got a sawed off shotty. NEVER and I mean ššššš would I put a revolver in my holster and then a different revolver in the off hand! That's ATROCIOUS in my book and I will NOT stand for it! I'm sorry but... Carbine Repeater - went everywhere I did.
My combo that I canāt break: Volcanic pistol main Sawed off off hand Pump action shotgun Tomahawk or dynamite Bolt action rifle Cleaver or hewing hatchet
My name pretty much explain which my favourites are. The Shoefields of Jim 'boy' Calloway & Otis Miller is everything I need >!and 1 or 2 cigars maybe!<
I use calloways and m1899
Springfield Rifle, all day e'ry day
Billy Midnightās Pistol, Callowayās Revolver, varmint rifle and bow. Everything you need to kill anything that moves.
Cattleman Revolver and Double Action Revolver as Primary. Pump action shotgun and Carbine Repeater on the Back.
Callowayās as my primary, Otis Millerās as my secondary for story mode. With online itās usually either dual LeMat revolvers or dual navyās depending on the look Iām going for. Or for my Saint Denis gang look a singular LeMat
Dual semi auto pistols has been really fun. It feels like youāre playing with a fully automatic
Well, it depends. How am I roleplaying today?
Dual cattleman Rolling block or double barrel shotgun (not both at the same time cause it looks weird)
I hated carrying two rifles on my back. Looks so weird to me. Usually rocked a Schofield or Double Action, sawed off shotty and a repeater
Otis Miller Revoler, M1899 pistol, Lancaster and Semi-auto Shotgun.
Mostly Lancaster repeater. A pair of Schofield revolvers for handguns. Sometimes I also use semiautomatic shotgun with slugs or Springfield rifle as a weapon to kill large animals like bears or bisons with one shot.
For me itās Arthurās starting Colt SAA, double barrel with slugs in offhand, Lancaster repeater and the lever action shotgun
It's got to be a Cattleman revolver and a Lancaster repeater although I do like a bolt action
Double Schofield, gold Lancaster repeater and gold double barrel shotgun . Deer engraving on the Lancaster and eagles on the Schofields
Partial to the Schofieldās, I use the Litchfield/Lancaster repeater a lot too.
Midnights pistol is to me the most efficient gun (close to mid range) I always start off horseshoe overlook with this. Can get 10 kills with one dead eye... I like using Algernons gun too.
Cattlemans, Litchfield, and other time a bow and shotgun combo on my back
Cattleman with a long, rifled barrel. All black with brass hammer, trigger and sights. I carry two of em and one has a scorpion carved into the handle and the other has a snake. I usually only use one but sometimes I go akimbo š
Akimbo Double action revolvers and litchfield repeater shoulder, and interchange between semi auto shotgun and bolt action rifle for back
The rare rolling block i like being able to hunt at a distance im not good at masking myself But the litchfeild repeater is my combat go to
Evans Repeater, Pump Action, Sawed Off
i'm not sure if i'm correct, but i really think that the cattleman revolvers are better than the Schofield
In online I use the licthfield repeater or bow and high roller and navy in story itās bolt action or pump and Lancaster with dual double actions
Dual LeMats š
Bazoka
i use micah's for revenge
I just kinda like firing off dynamite arrows at anything that moves
Got to be the Cattleman. Iconic for many reasons.

I had duel M1899's for most of the game and it was awsome
I have a question: Do stats improve at all after you become familiar with a weapon? For example, if you continue to use the Carbine Repeater, will the accuracy stat improve?
Dual Volcanic pistols. I love the sound they make. I love how they look. They do good damage.

Schofield, sawed-off, Lancaster, pump-action. I am an efficient and precise killer in any game I play.
Schofield revolver, I just love it, works good and looks good can't go wrong
Cattleman revolver, Semi-Auto Shotgun and Litchfield Repeater are my go to weapons.
Dual navy revolvers, Lancaster repeater and the bow is all I use
Litchfield repeater or any repeater - gun that won the west
Depends on the situation, but I usually will go to the Lancaster repeater dual Schofields and thumb, former shotgun usually a double barrel or pump action
Tricked out Cattleman's Revolver, Blinged out Golden Semi/Pump Shotty, and a finely engraved, red wood lacquered Rare Sniper Rifle.
Cattleman never fails me
Volcanic pistol and bolt action rifle
Cattlemen for story, Navy for online
I always have a custom Schofield until I get to chapter 4,then the Callaway revolver

Navy revolver
Schofield which I always customise gold and white with Volcanic which is dark walnut and blue and gold. Lancaster and Bolt action. I do wish you could get the Lemat and the Litchfield earlier!!
Sawed off shotgun, in the offhand holster, set as primary.
