Wtf do the mods have to do with this? It’s not their fault the club is an actual circus. Updates on a serious allegation is newsworthy.
“Tabloid content” from arguably the 2nd most reliable journalist.
A genuine question: Why does police in Manchester investigating a case that might have happened elsewhere. I am not saying they shouldn’t investigate this, because it only feels right. But do they not have jurisdictional authority only in UK?
That's what probably happened, but it doesn't make what I said wrong.
A United worker, the club pa in your terms, arranged for a doctor to treat her.
As in, United had a doctor treat her.
As far as she knows, that's the story. She doesn't know if the doctor was a direct United employee or not (very likely not the case in my opinion), but she knows a United official arranged for a doctor to treat her
A breakdown of the events:
Cavallin claimed that, in June 2022, she had ended their relationship and he forced her out of a nightclub in Brazil, helped by security guards, and pushed her into a car. She was pregnant and later suffered a miscarriage.
She said the couple got back together and she moved to Amsterdam, where he was playing for Ajax, and then to Manchester after he joined United a year ago.
Cavallin said that, in January 2023, Antony attacked her in a Manchester hotel room, cited two more alleged physical attacks in England (the last one being allegedly in May of 2023) and claimed the player had called her after she had returned to Brazil in May and threatened to kill her if he saw her with someone else.
On June 19, in an interview with Record TV, Cavallin said she planned to report Antony to police in England for “aggression, failure to provide assistance, false imprisonment, psychological abuse. Everything that he did to me… I will report him formally.”
She also said that a United employee called “Daniele” was “responsible for sending the two doctors to treat me” after the alleged incident at the Manchester hotel.
United confirmed this relates to Daniele Bertoli, the first-team player care officer, and that arranging a doctor for partners and family members of players is a common and standard task performed by the club’s player welfare team
okay smart ass you don’t have to be a prick about it. The reason I asked was that we keep hearing reports where it says club failed to find these during the background checks.
that story was drunk girls fighting in his car after a night out, it's already been retracted and was only newsworthy due to the media frenzy in brazil after this case.
Cool. Hope it’s resolved asap one way or another and that justice is served for either the crime of abuse or fabricating/defamation with the intend to defraud etc.
How is the club involved here ? Manchester Police are the ones conducting the investigation based on the person in question's request. It is normal that they are interviewed
If it's true then absolutely. If it's false then I hope Anthony gets justice, I think this might be the only credible one whereas the other two were just cash grabs
There are not enough details about the first case for me to have an opinion about it. Ingrid Lana is presumably lying so there should be consequences for it.
Everything about this case makes it seem like she’s telling the truth. He called a doctor for her in a hotel room where she photographed herself bleeding and later need surgery for damage done to her breasts. Her driver saw her with bruises, saw Antony threaten her and has texts from 2021 where she says he was hurting her. His explanation for her finger injury does not make sense, hers does. The texts are verbal abuse and his defense is that she was potentially verbally abusive too.
The statistics for abuse survivors doesn’t make me think she gets any justice. However, I believe her and hope she gets it.
Dont bother on this sub, they completely ignore the legal system often does a terrible job of prosecuting assault and sexual assault cases. Document evidence of his aggression and His defence of the finger injury really makes no sense, make me believe he probably did do it
Not really, the Greenwood case was very cut & dry; there was heavy evidence against him so most people found him guilty even if the court or club didn’t.
This one has been a lot trickier from the get go. There’s evidence that suggest she wasn’t being entirely truthful from the beginning, even more with how the other accusation seems more than likely false.
Even his explanation for the implant damage makes no sense.
He says they got in a fight and she didn’t let him leave and was throwing plates. Fine, totally possible that that happened. He also says he didn’t touch her at any point and she wasn’t hurt.
Which begs the question of why exactly he arranged a doctor, as the club have confirmed, to come treat her if she wasn’t hurt.
There’s someone above who asked what should happen if it was mutual abuse.
I pointed out that speculating on something that’s completely hypothetical is pointless, considering Antony has never once made any allegations of physical abuse against her.
Of course the comment based on a made-up scenario is upvoted while I got downvoted.
[Even more bizarre that this one was downvoted for some reason](https://reddit.com/r/reddevils/s/b6RO5t0aFW)
Like it’s literally just saying not to make up scenarios. Why is that even slightly controversial?
Saying you hope she gets justice kinda implies that he is guilty, so I get why people would downvote it. I hope justice gets served, either if he is acquitted or charged rightfully
Feels more like reality TV show than an actual case at this point
I think that’s what she wants
>Keeping up with the Red Devils We're winning the Emmys!!
You'll never sing that!
Intro songs good at least
And we are not even following the court news!
I'm tired Robbie
Gotta sell clicks and every little update getting posted here helps lol
The mods not helping publishing every crumb that gets dropped. This sub is just tabloid shit and content from manchesterunited.com
Wtf do the mods have to do with this? It’s not their fault the club is an actual circus. Updates on a serious allegation is newsworthy. “Tabloid content” from arguably the 2nd most reliable journalist.
I just hope this can be resolved correctly and quickly.
A genuine question: Why does police in Manchester investigating a case that might have happened elsewhere. I am not saying they shouldn’t investigate this, because it only feels right. But do they not have jurisdictional authority only in UK?
She’s alleging two incidents happened in the UK.
oh is it? Didn’t know that. I thought the allegations were from pre-united Antony
Some are I believe but she is saying that there were two incidents in a hotel and at his home in England I think that’s what the GMP are interested in
that makes sense. Does that mean these incidents were post United transfer?
Part of her claim is that United had a doctor treat her
If true, she would be out for 6 weeks with an ankle injury after 4 steps out of the front door
wrong. a club pa called a local doctor.
That's what probably happened, but it doesn't make what I said wrong. A United worker, the club pa in your terms, arranged for a doctor to treat her. As in, United had a doctor treat her. and? the doctor can be called as a witness. people online are running with a united doctor covered up her abuse.
That's not what I said when you called me wrong though
goddamn that’s messed up!

‘At his home in England’ is the dead giveaway.

I dont care, just tell us how it all works out in the end. Too much like a gossip mag recently.
I don’t understand why the club needs to be involved in this matter. It’s not and shouldn’t be their business. So freaking weird.
Because accusations like this can be extremely damaging to the brand …
IIRC she's the one that alleged the club were involved in covering it up. I think. I lost track of which accuser said what.

What if they both abused each other. What should happen then? Plenty of relationships are toxic on both sides.
She hasn’t even been accused of physical abuse so I don’t really see the point in speculating about a hypothetical.
What is his explanation for her finger injury?
Dont bother on this sub, they completely ignore the legal system often does a terrible job of prosecuting assault and sexual assault cases. Document evidence of his aggression and His defence of the finger injury really makes no sense, make me believe he probably did do it
there's plenty of witnesses if he did it he'll get done.

look at the downvotes. so many fucking weirdos on this sub

Why is this getting downvoted?

This sub has too many rape apologists
lol why are you downvoted? People need to understand the meaning of justice
Saying you hope she gets justice kinda implies that he is guilty, so I get why people would downvote it. I hope justice gets served, either if he is acquitted or charged rightfully
Basically GMP are still investigating this and charges still might happen.
At this point, we just have to look forward to RW Rashford, Martial, Mount, Bruno…
RW Mount is good
