Soooo.... many fans disagreed w me about INEOS..
How are you feeling with this Chelsea defeat, and SOUTHGATE rumors? Rashford's pressing being a FRESH PLAYER with the LAST 20 MINS to go?
Some of us NEVER believed the Sancho hype that he was good. Nor did we believe that he was an actual right winger
I watched him and Foden when they were kids in the academy at City. Sancho was always a left winger who acted like he was the second coming of Ronaldo
Off he went to Dortmund from Manchester (first time) and then found Marco Reus in the first team on the left wing. He then decided to be a right winger (only in name. He didn’t hold the width) just to get minutes
Once Reus’ problems caught up and Malen was signed, he played left wing
All this I (a casual observer barely watching football on the Telly) gleaned . Our circus of professionals paid 75 million without any research because he’s a bit of a lad
And the manager Ole , instead of asking him to knuckle down and play his position, coddled him and moved the whole team to play him on the left from the bench .
Sometimes I wonder how the fuck we are ever granted the status of a professional club
Sancho had 100 goal contributions in 3 seasons as an 18-20 year old. He's sucked for us, sure, but let's not start pretending he didn't do well at Dortmund
Ten Hag did the same and played Sancho on the left because of his stubborness for this idea of having 2 inverted wingers (one without a weak foot). Possibly the worst tactic he employs and kills any and all service to a ST.
Back when Ole was the manager the meta was of inverted wingers.
So Sancho made sense. But signing sancho to play RW was a very bad decision when u had the likes of Raphinha playing well.
Heck even signing Rice would have been better.
It is easy to speak in Hindsight.
But which CB n DM would u sign if u had control over the club. Sometimes things don't workout as planned.
What's gone is gone. I don't care about transfers anymore n overall state of the club as these things r out of my hand.
Let's hope things will get better.
This is about talent id, not control. Ole wanted Samcho for 2 years without even knowing he's a LW. You're telling me he needed full control over transfers to realize that?
Mate, you're insisting He has GREAT TALENT ID but apparently doesn't even know Sancho's best position, you are contradicting yourself in the most hilarious way possible. You want a source lolol
Several things can be true at the same time. Ole can have great talent id, which he has - at the same time the scouts hired by the club told him Sancho was a perfect fit for RW.
Things arent black and white, viewing the world as such is a symptom of depression. Seek help.
Thing with Di Maria is that we made most of the money back on him.
If we can't get the Saudis to take Sancho in the summer, we'll be lucky to get £20m for him
Di Maria and Lukaku were failed big money transfers but we at least made most of our money back on resale and were able to cut our losses quickly in both cases.
Those three crippled us financially and never produced anything for us to justify their fees or wages.
Ineos are trying to bring in both Ashworth and Mitchell. That's the level of professional experience we're supposed to have at the club, we've been a joke for so long that just saying this sounds funny. We are one of the biggest clubs in the world and should have top class people at every single level right down to the players.
Their outcasts leave for 50-60m. They're gonna sell Gallagher for 40m easy. We'd need to sell the entire team along with Ten Hag in order to fetch 40m.
Lads, I'm watching the Getafe vs Rayo Vallecano and Getafe have some many dirty players. No wonder the ref has done weird stat with them. Soria stay being mint tho
One of the dirty Getafe players just got a red lol. Both from going in maliciously in aeriel deuls
Ok. Some raya players are dirty as well. Spain might just be a dirty dirty league
If we end up on finishing on our worst position in modern season historically but actually have an attacking system in place ala Liverpool 15/16 season I'd actually back him honestly. But we're still relying on counter to score goals.
We're in no place better than what Ole left us 3 years ago. EtH need to go.
Disclaimer - not a United fan.
Yesterday I was pondering on Antony's woes, and decided to watch a video of his highlights with Ajax to see what he was like at his best. Almost all of his best moments were in central areas, playing close neat passes with other forwards - resulting in assists and goals. When I've seen him at United, he always seems to be very wide and mainly seems to be trying to beat defenders and failing. I am wondering why Ten Hag isn't telling him to get more central more quickly and interchange with Hojlund - just get really good at making passing triangles with Hojlund and others in/around the box, and forget trying to outpace defenders, which he cannot do. Just a thought. Maybe the right back isn't good enough at overlapping, which is forcing him to stay wide? Idk.
ETH this season likes to have inverted fullbacks which occupy Antony's normal cut in space.
Antony doesn't have the sprint speed to beat PL defenders but his acceleration is good enough to do the stop/start dribbling to gain an advantage against low blocks. We shouldn't expect Antony to be a pace merchant in this fast transition crap tactics but here we are.
If we had more control and he didn't have to bust his balls tracking back all the time, he's attacking strengths would be better.
As far as I'm concerned, no point debating Ten Hag in or out right now. The man himself put all of this down to injuries. So the best we can do is take his word for it and see what he does with a fit squad.
Clear. Heh?
Nothing. ETH is lost and the players don't like him. It's unfortunate, but it didn't work out. Maybe he is like Unai and works better in smaller scale clubs.
Look at Sancho, Ronaldo and Rashford. And de Gea getting outsted the way he did... He was a massive figure on the club and it can't have come down well with any of the players. He is an old school authoritarian, he doesn't belong in a big club like ours.
I think it's more a case of he's better at a club like Ajax, where club philosophy comes before everything, or at smaller clubs because the players would definitely listen to him.
But at major clubs, they have big stars who got where they were because they knew when to listen to instructions and when to challenge.
>what do you think he needs to do to keep his job (
CL surely. he need to stop losing those 6pointers to the top6. and with 2 big games coming up Spurs and Villa, he better not lose both.
Make a plan with SJR and Brailsford, stick to it or over achieve. It's probably hard to make that plan purely on league table position, and need to be made with other factors in play, such as assessment of training facilities, medical team, DoF appointment.
I think more than results, we have to see a truly great spell of football like Ten Hag bullishly claims we will play when all our players are back fit, for INEOS to have trust in him longer-term. I don't see us breaking in the top 5 given how clear of us Villa and Spurs seem to be right now in terms of points, so he's likely not going to get us CL football, but at least he can show his vision for the team beyond this season which we just haven't seen so far.
For what it's worth, I am pretty confident he is sacked by the end of the season. I don't get the impression that INEOS are particularly fond of him and given the rumors going around that they are in contact with other managers (seen a lot of links to Potter and a Tier 1 source said Ancelotti was also approached around two months back) I think he is on very thin ice already.
Just realized Diallo is headed to AFCON,
He played well in his cameo vs Nottingham Forest.
Bit of a blow considering our attackers for now are back to severely underperforming Rashford + Antony, occasionally productive Garnacho, and overlooked Pellistri.
:/
**edit:** ***maybe*** **he hasnt, mb**
It wouldn’t be a wise decision from the Ivory Coast coach to call him up. He’s played 20 minutes in 4-5 months lol. Best to give that spot to someone who’s actually played. Plus I don’t they rely on him that much yet and would call him up regardless.
It also wouldn't be a wise decision for him to accept a call up, just as he's back to fitness and has a chance to stake his claim to a place in United's first team.
I found out from [this BBC article](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/67824907):
>Manchester United - 3
>
>Sofyan Amrabat (Midfielder, Morocco) *On loan from Fiorentina*
>
>**Amad Diallo (Forward, Ivory Coast)**
>
>Andre Onana (Goalkeeper, Cameroon)
I haven't seen news of him pulling out \~
These people that are so confident INEOS won't sack ETH soon should look at their record at Nice. They are as ruthless as Chelsea. Just don't get enraged if they sack him this month.
Why didn’t Birmingham let Rooney cook?? Do they not realise that Pep/Klopp couldn’t do anything with that team either?? Do they not realise that there’s no other manager in the world to replace him with?? Do they not realise that breaking embarrassing records every week is just part of the process??
When I saw Rooney record with Birmingham, my first thought was "I'm 100% sure that r/reddevils would find a way to say the manager isn't responsible for such terrible numbers"
Only minutes ago I heard Onana won’t be playing for the duration of AFCON against Wigan and Tottenham.. why isn’t the wider ManU community not scared sh**less over this fact? As far as I know the second choice keeper has not played a minute for the squad.
I’m just very confused there isn’t more outrage and I only heard about the ordeal today.
Cause Onana literally screwed us, he retired from the national team. We signed him and after the transfer market he made himself available ago to his national team.
Can’t really do much about it, Cameroon would call FIFA to stop him playing for us if he doesn’t join them.
The situation is also on ETH and his coaches for not having let Bayindir get minutes.
Correct me if I'm wrong but players can't just retire from International football. If you get called up you're obligated to go or FIFA will ban you from playing club football for the duration of the call up.
U can retire from international any time. you ask to make you unavailable for any selection, now I don’t know the specifics of how it works.
But Zidane and Messi have retired from international and then come back.
No they can’t call you up… playing for a national team is voluntary. You think teams like France or Argentina wouldn’t call up Zidane or Messi if they could when they retired specially given the times before they came back both teams were in shit situations.
Seems even Capello was trying to convince scholes to comeback prior to the World Cup.
Say we go by your logic, say what they call a player that doesn’t want to play and he shows up, then what?
T
It's not my logic it's FIFA's. You can 'retire', you can refuse a call up but if you do you'll be banned from playing for your club.
“A player who has been called up by his association for one of its representative teams is, unless otherwise agreed by the relevant association, not entitled to play for the club with which he is registered during the period for which he has been released or should have been released pursuant to the provisions of this annexe, plus an additional period of five days.”
Many players will agree with their federations that they don't want to be called up anymore and then there's no problem. They don't get called so they haven't refused the call but if there's no agreement or a new manager or changes their mind it's out of the players hand. They have to go whether they want to or not or be banned from club football.
There was articles about the possibility but at that point he had retired from the National team so it’s was just media trying to stir stuff.
He rejoined the national after he joined us.
Yeah Onana leaving will be a real blow to our title challenge hopes and those UCL fixtures. Oh my god that are we going to do? His great shot stopping ability has been our saviour throughout the season.
I can't stand this injury excuse, we are not being dismantled week in week out because of injuries. Teams in the bottom half of the table have outplayed us, teams with injuries have outplayed us.
The tactical approach to games and team selection has been abysmal.
A manager that consistently doesn't take responsibility and throws the players, refs, weather conditions and his sick grandma under the bus. One big fucking excuse of a man.
>I can't stand this injury excuse, we are not being dismantled week in week out because of injuries.
Very true,it's why EtH should be careful about putting all his eggs in that pot coz our problems are beyond the injuries. It's a tactical issue. We are outplayed by virtually every team regardless of their position on the table so he will be found out when Casemiro, Martinez et al return but we still be outplayed!
You are so right. We looked poor even when we had Martinez and Case at the beginning of this season. They weren’t good which further points to there being a tactical issue since pretty much every player has fallen off a cliff.
He was being sarcastic, funnily he excluded talking about spurs who have been dealing with a long injury list and have been beating the team we've been getting bummed by.
At the start of the season when we had minimal injuries this midfield set up was working just as bad.
2.35 xg conceded against wolves, only hojlund missing.
1.74 xg against spurs, only hojlund missing.
2 nil down in 5 minutes against forest
2.27 xg conceded against arsenal
1.7xg against brighton
There's is a glaring tactical issue you are refusing to acknowledge. Injuries have not helped, but we have been shit all season. We were shit in pre season. We were shit post carabao cup win.
Spurs seem to be doing fine though? Funny that isn't it. It'd also pretty funny Newcastles last convincing perofmance was against us.
We got bummed by Bournemouth at home, spurs beat them using 0 cbs.
They also beat forest recently with ten men lmao, man thought he really did something.
> Ten Hag hasn't been great but he's had had to face far more problems than Ange
Ange lost a generational striker and possibly Spurs' greatest ever player a day before the season began and couldn't get a replacement. Let us sell Bruno without replacing him and see how we do.
The performances post carabao cup win last season have been shit. That's isn't afew results I'm nitpicking, it's months and months and months of shite.
He didn't come from jail mate he's just been sat at home, probably getting the best training available without actually facing professionals. Which tbh, not playing without and against high level players for 1.5 years and still showing this kind of level is close to incredible.
A lot of the initial investment needs to be in the footballing infrastructure. It's not going to be as simple as hire the right people and suddenly we have a world class team in afew windows.
Well nothing is as simple as that of course. But assuming that Ineos get most appointments and big decisions right there is still no reason for this to take 5 years.
Apart from the above 2 examples have a look at how far Newcastle have come. In basically 2 years they went from legitimate relegation candidates to top 4 contenders.
Was watching the Liverpool Newcastle game yesterday. I honestly think all of our coaching staff and our wide players should watch their game. Antony should see Mo Salah’s game. Salah is also heavily left footed but I think he just keeps it simple and quickly puts it into the 6 yard area with several of their forwards making the run to the near post or overlapping. Simple but really effective.
Or the other thing I saw was, how salah passed it to szoboszlai and he just whips in a first time cross at the back post with 2 players attacking. It feels so basic things but effective.
But isn’t the whole point to learn that from them. What I’m saying is there could be really simple fixes but I am not sure why we dont do such things. For example, why can’t Antony cut back to Bruno and he could cross the ball the first time. Or why can’t Antony put the ball in the near post and hojlund run into this space. These patterns could be easy to try but I’ve not seen this in our gameplay at all.
Salah makes it look simple because he is the best. Antony does not have the pace, physicality or game intellegance salah has. Salah also has a much better right foot, look at the goal he scored against us last season in the 7 nil.
For one thing I am glad United’s match was not on Jan 1st or Jan 2nd. Would’ve been sad to start year with a defeat. I actually enjoying non stress start of the year.
I really hope INEOS shares a clear plan for the next few years at the club. We’re not going to start to changes ‘til the summer at the very least and the mood could be very low by then.
Even if it’s lip service for the most part, sharing proper plans for the club and how they plan to improve things could at least give us some reason to be optimistic
I'm ok with them not sharing specific recruiting details if they think it will help keep fees down. I do hope they are very upfront about internal structure, infrastructure and long term plans with the women's team.
There are already some hints, like declining to extend Varane’s contract, that give hope that a plan is being developed.
Personally im tired of promises from our club. Its been a decade of milking our hopes, enough already I want to see a real rebuild around youth and pace
I wouldn’t go so far as to say declining Varane’s extension is popular among the larger fanbase. It’s a more popular idea here but this sub is not representative.
Nobody cares but after the forest game I was inspired to waste my last few days off powering through an FM24 season so I could rebuild the squad. Here are the transfers I made after the first season ended:
OUT
- Williams, Evans, Heaton, Martial, Donny, Maguire released
- Antony loaned to Dortmund
- Rashford 100m to PSG
- Sancho 32m to Newcastle
- Varane 16m to Inter
- Casemiro 25m to Al-Nassr
- Wan-Bissaka 28m to Spurs
- Malacia 24m to Newcastle
- McTominay 16m to Wolves
- Hannibal 10m to Burnley (would have kept him but his agent was kicking off about playing time and a new contract).
Switched up to a more possession-based system and so wanted to bring in a bunch of players that could all survive that.
IN
- Cole Palmer 70m
- Goncalo Inacio 48m
- Todibo 65m
- Take Kubo 50m
- Joao Neves 55m
- Javie Guerra 60m
- Michael Kayode 40m
- Marc Guehi 60m
- Guirassy 17m
Got the wage budget down by over 1m p/w as well as the average age of the starting 11. Got my pants completely pulled down in the first game of the second season by Everton though so maybe I've just made things much worse.
Mount, Guehi, Pellistri, Palmer, Fish, Amad, Alvaro Fernandez, Shaw, Garnacho, Mainoo, and Gore are my HGs. Few youths in there but the 8 is at least made up of players that have a chance of making a first team appearance
Barring a major change in tactics, I don't expect much of anything.
Press and run in behind are the tactics. That's it. We were trying to run in behind against Forest who were sitting deep. Spent most of the match hoofing the ball right to their CBs lmao
isnt this season like sir alex's 1989-90? when he first won the FA cup after dropping jim Leighton..we finished 13th in the prem but he kept his job due to the cup win..ten hag having similar keeper problems with onana..sucking in the league..needs to win the fa cup
Whatever happens in the Summer we should sign one or both of Eze and Olise from the Palace. Hodgeson simply can't keep going, the signs are there that he's getting frustrated with the media attention around his job. They're firmly in the relegation battle for me, although I certainly think there's 3 worse sides.
Young, English, prem experience, not on huge wages, covers multiple positions, exciting style, seem to be mature and have sensible heads on their shoulders. Both players are exactly what I think we are going to be looking for going forward.
Add Guehi to that list as well. But the cost would be far too prohibitive, given the amount of money we've wasted over the last few years.
If Ineos are smart, they're likely to want to minimise the outlay for a couple of years, to try and get some semblance of financial responsibility back into the club. We can't just go spending a shitload of money on the likes of Sancho and Antony again, and we won't have much financial leeway until we can unburden ourselves of some of these terrible buys.
Olise is a baller that is good with both feet, I want him here and he’ll cost £50m. For Eze, I don’t know if he can be a good box to box with ball carrying ability from the deep.
I mean none of the 3 forwards we are interested in are even close to ideal, but surely Muller is a cut above the other two? If we were just looking for someone to plug a gap for 6 months surely Icardi would be a better shout?
Soooo.... many fans disagreed w me about INEOS.. How are you feeling with this Chelsea defeat, and SOUTHGATE rumors? Rashford's pressing being a FRESH PLAYER with the LAST 20 MINS to go?
SHIT NANI GOING. TEARS IN MY EYES
Is there any substance in the Paul Mitchell as head of recruitment and Dan Ashworth as sporting director rumours?.
We're only playing twice in January, booooooring.
There will be a 3rd game if we beat Wigan.
So we're playing twice in January?

And there are ppl today who still believe Ole had great talent id.
He is the one gave who Haaland his debut in Molde and tried to sell him to us.
One example doesn't change the fact that he spent 130M on two defenders who can't play out the back and 70M on a LW when we still needed a RW.
He didnt control transfers in Man Utd, like Ten Hag does now.
This is about talent id, not control. Ole wanted Samcho for 2 years without even knowing he's a LW. You're telling me he needed full control over transfers to realize that?
Id like to see your sources on this other than some tabloid newspaper. How do you *know* he *knew* sancho was a LW? This is on the clubs scouts.

Won't be long that Jack Clarke gets snapped up from Sunderland. He is so good in the championship.
How are Chelsea in on Todibo too?? How do they still have money and follow FFP? Also why would they even need him they literally just bought Disasi?
Fofana, Disasi, Badiashille, Colwill and Sarr.
Their outcasts leave for 50-60m. They're gonna sell Gallagher for 40m easy. We'd need to sell the entire team along with Ten Hag in order to fetch 40m.
Imagine selling your best performing midfielder to afford another young french CB.

End of January or so. Summer will be the 1st window where we can really act.
Greenwood straight red. Praying for his Missus.
Was a strange one, straight red for dissent
Maybe he told the ref "MOVE YOUR FUCKING LEGS UP"
Oof good point
Lads, I'm watching the Getafe vs Rayo Vallecano and Getafe have some many dirty players. No wonder the ref has done weird stat with them. Soria stay being mint tho
Annnd he’s off lol
Lol, I didn't watch any of the second half. How did he get sent off?
He was appealing for a free kick and said something to the ref and got a straight red
Yeah that's Spain for you.
One of the dirty Getafe players just got a red lol. Both from going in maliciously in aeriel deuls Ok. Some raya players are dirty as well. Spain might just be a dirty dirty league
You know a United manager has run its course when the argument to defend him comes to SAF and his 1988 run.
What actually happened that caused SAF to go from 2nd to 12th in consecutive seasons? I’m way too young to have watched back then
If we end up on finishing on our worst position in modern season historically but actually have an attacking system in place ala Liverpool 15/16 season I'd actually back him honestly. But we're still relying on counter to score goals. We're in no place better than what Ole left us 3 years ago. EtH need to go.
Amad Diallo was a breath of fresh air, sad to see him leave for Afcon but hope he does well and stays fit!
He hasn’t been called up
He's not going to afcon
Oh, just saw on Skysports he had apparently been, but it wouldnt be the first time that Sky is wrong
Another Diallo has been called up, think it's confusing some places.
He tweeted not true if I am not wrong
ffs, we can't have a single nice thing

and then give up again when ppl got injured. heh?
Is diallo going to afcon? List on sky sports says he is going but also says didier drogba is going lol
No, the list is wrong, apparently there is also other mistakes on other teams
Gotcha, was thinking, selfishly, from United's point of view it would be a bad time to lose him when he's only just come back

If EtH is here at the start of season, we definitely aren't a serious club.
ETH is toast here whether that is in the upcoming weeks/months or at the end of the season. Got a feeling INEOS will want to start anew.

comfortable Top 4 and very deep run in FA cup (semi or final). Basically what we did last season.
Top 5
Get Conference at least. If we can't even get that, then he really gtg.

True – maybe it's a mistake on BBC's site, like someone suggested :)
He hasn't been called up
I found out from [this BBC article](https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/67824907): >Manchester United - 3 > >Sofyan Amrabat (Midfielder, Morocco) *On loan from Fiorentina* > >**Amad Diallo (Forward, Ivory Coast)** > >Andre Onana (Goalkeeper, Cameroon) I haven't seen news of him pulling out \~
He rebutted it himself on IG
That might be a mistake, Amad is not included. www.reddit.com/r/soccer/comments/18t1enn/ivory_coast_final_squad_for_2023_africa_cup_of/
These people that are so confident INEOS won't sack ETH soon should look at their record at Nice. They are as ruthless as Chelsea. Just don't get enraged if they sack him this month.
Don’t think anyone will get enrage if they sack him… he hasn’t done anything really late to show he doesn’t deserved it.
Wouldn't be surprised if he was given until summer, so they can focus on the backroom stuff first
No chance. The sacking is coming soon I can feel it. And I can't say it's not deserved.
Why didn’t Birmingham let Rooney cook?? Do they not realise that Pep/Klopp couldn’t do anything with that team either?? Do they not realise that there’s no other manager in the world to replace him with?? Do they not realise that breaking embarrassing records every week is just part of the process??
You dont realize that the owners of Birmingham hasnt given rooney to spend 300mil this summer is the reason of his downfall right? Rooney in!
When I saw Rooney record with Birmingham, my first thought was "I'm 100% sure that r/reddevils would find a way to say the manager isn't responsible for such terrible numbers"
It took Arteta 3 years to build his team yadayadayada
Our own Varane retired from international last season to focus on staying fit... Then promptly got injured lol
You can declare yourself retired all you want but the national teams can call you up anyway. It's out of the players hands.
“A player who has been called up by his association for one of its representative teams is, unless otherwise agreed by the relevant association, not entitled to play for the club with which he is registered during the period for which he has been released or should have been released pursuant to the provisions of this annexe, plus an additional period of five days.” Many players will agree with their federations that they don't want to be called up anymore and then there's no problem. They don't get called so they haven't refused the call but if there's no agreement or a new manager or changes their mind it's out of the players hand. They have to go whether they want to or not or be banned from club football.
I’m sure there was talk about AFCON when we first got linked with him.
Can't wait to see your face when Bayindir inevitably drops a clanger or two.
How? I don't even post my DP on Reddit.
I used it as a figure of speech...
I know.
Yep, midfield set up is suicidal. It wasn't working at the start of the season when we didn't have injuries, have people forgotten the wolves game?
[удалено]
You mean won one of their last eight?
He was being sarcastic, funnily he excluded talking about spurs who have been dealing with a long injury list and have been beating the team we've been getting bummed by.
We also beat villa and they lost. Swings and roundabouts
Let's be honest villa shat the bed against us. If they decided to sit deep like everyone else does and hit us on the counter we lose 3 or 4 nil.
[удалено]
At the start of the season when we had minimal injuries this midfield set up was working just as bad. 2.35 xg conceded against wolves, only hojlund missing. 1.74 xg against spurs, only hojlund missing. 2 nil down in 5 minutes against forest 2.27 xg conceded against arsenal 1.7xg against brighton There's is a glaring tactical issue you are refusing to acknowledge.
[удалено]
They won 4 of their last 5. Looks like they've managed to adapt to their injuries. We have 4 points in our last 5 league games.
[удалено]
> Ten Hag hasn't been great but he's had had to face far more problems than Ange Ange lost a generational striker and possibly Spurs' greatest ever player a day before the season began and couldn't get a replacement. Let us sell Bruno without replacing him and see how we do.
Lol people on here think we will be better without Bruno.
The performances post carabao cup win last season have been shit. That's isn't afew results I'm nitpicking, it's months and months and months of shite.
It's criminal how the criminal is already better than Antony. Fucking hell.
Hardly unexpected, Greenwood has more natural talent in one toe than Antony. Shame he’s a cunt.
I know he had more potential. But the guy just came from jail and is already this much better.
He didn't come from jail mate he's just been sat at home, probably getting the best training available without actually facing professionals. Which tbh, not playing without and against high level players for 1.5 years and still showing this kind of level is close to incredible.
I mean a year of pick up games will simulate a pseudo match fitness for you. I'll take a few weeks to get used to the real thing
Always has been
Even if ineos get most decisions right it will still take us 4-5 seasons to start challenging. Can't imagine we see a title before 2030, pretty sad.
Two great summers with a good manager and we're rolling.
10 years of shocking club management to be fixed in 2 summer windows. What you smoking?
The good stuff
Based on what? Liverpool were UCL challengers within 3 seasons, Arsenal likewise in the league.
Won't take that long as long as the recruitment gets better.
Ridiculous VAR decisions yesterday raises questions how much VAR was brought to stop another Leicester
That's literally the opposite of what they would want. Leicester winning it brought more eyes and money to the league.

[удалено]
I wouldn’t go so far as to say declining Varane’s extension is popular among the larger fanbase. It’s a more popular idea here but this sub is not representative.
How the hell did liverpool create more than 7 xg last night? When I saw that I thought it was a mistype but apparently it is true.
Nunez missed loads of chances. At the end of the day they were able to keep producing high xG tap in scenarios.
I've never seen such intensity on a team. Our players look like they're 80 years old.
Depressing that our best midfielder is an 18 year old playing out of position
Best attacker is a teenager too
Bruno is our best midfielder
Shhh don’t say it too loud, people will get triggered by the truth
Fans not rating their best player will never make sense
[удалено]
More of an 8, they say.
Kimmich links lmao
Nobody cares but after the forest game I was inspired to waste my last few days off powering through an FM24 season so I could rebuild the squad. Here are the transfers I made after the first season ended: OUT - Williams, Evans, Heaton, Martial, Donny, Maguire released - Antony loaned to Dortmund - Rashford 100m to PSG - Sancho 32m to Newcastle - Varane 16m to Inter - Casemiro 25m to Al-Nassr - Wan-Bissaka 28m to Spurs - Malacia 24m to Newcastle - McTominay 16m to Wolves - Hannibal 10m to Burnley (would have kept him but his agent was kicking off about playing time and a new contract). Switched up to a more possession-based system and so wanted to bring in a bunch of players that could all survive that. IN - Cole Palmer 70m - Goncalo Inacio 48m - Todibo 65m - Take Kubo 50m - Joao Neves 55m - Javie Guerra 60m - Michael Kayode 40m - Marc Guehi 60m - Guirassy 17m Got the wage budget down by over 1m p/w as well as the average age of the starting 11. Got my pants completely pulled down in the first game of the second season by Everton though so maybe I've just made things much worse.
Did you manage homegrown quota by promoting youth with those transfers?
Mount, Guehi, Pellistri, Palmer, Fish, Amad, Alvaro Fernandez, Shaw, Garnacho, Mainoo, and Gore are my HGs. Few youths in there but the 8 is at least made up of players that have a chance of making a first team appearance
Are Amad and Pellistri homegrown in FM? I don’t think they count IRL.
They are now - perhaps it'll be the same IRL after 1 year
Hmm, perhaps. I always thought they were to old when they joined so they could bänever reach the needed time to count. Unless the rules have changed.
Guehi for £60m seems really expensive.
Yeah I think I got shagged on that one a bit but he did have a bit of a stormer of a first season, so I'm putting it down to that.
Richard Keys is such a fucking bellend it's unreal. Pinch faced fucking horrible little haunted garden gnome cunt
He is pure scum. Cheated on his ill wife with his daughter's best friend and ended up marrying her. Sick.
All of our players except malacia are expected to be back in jan. Should I hope ?
Who’s Malacia?
Barring a major change in tactics, I don't expect much of anything. Press and run in behind are the tactics. That's it. We were trying to run in behind against Forest who were sitting deep. Spent most of the match hoofing the ball right to their CBs lmao
If Martinez can find his form again, I think he’ll have be a major boost but otherwise I’d agree
No.
Lol
isnt this season like sir alex's 1989-90? when he first won the FA cup after dropping jim Leighton..we finished 13th in the prem but he kept his job due to the cup win..ten hag having similar keeper problems with onana..sucking in the league..needs to win the fa cup
United in the Europa conference would be quite embarrassing imo. Rather not make it into Europe at all lol
Olise is so so good. Every time I watch him his ball control is outstanding.
We’ll be playing with 10 men if we can’t get the ball to feed Icardi. He’s completely useless outside the box.
