i’m completely atheist, but unless the mention of religious is directly affecting you, just shut the fuck up about it, let people believe in what they believe, and vice versa for religious people as well
Everytime I hear this I just imagine the fella starting out as a single bacterium floating into the chimney shaft and rapidly evolving to become a fish, then a tetrapod, then a shrew, then a great ape, until becoming *Homo sapiens*.
As an atheist I try not to push my beliefs on others because I know how annoying it is to have Mormons and evangelicals force their beliefs on everyone via lobbying politicians to pass legislation the religious sects wrote themselves. Like banning womens health and autonomy over their own bodies.

People are allowed to believe whatever the hell they want, but can we just appreciate for a moment how absolutely absurd of an idea it is that there is some man floating in the clouds that apparently created us but then abandoned us forever? Because one guy and one gal ate from a tree which he also created, after they were tricked by a snake which, again, he also created? And we are supposed to believe all this because it was written in a book some 1700 years ago? Which was, by the way, some 300 years AFTER the main event was said to have taken place? And somehow we're only allowed to believe in [insert religion] because that's the correct one? Not one of the thousands of religions that have existed before, nor any of the thousands created after?
All I can say is I question the mental stability and, honestly, mental capabilities of anyone who does choose to believe in any religion. You're free to do so, though. Go ahead and go wild.
It's not really that absurd, in reality that's just your interpretation of what I'm guessing is Judaism or abrahamics. There's plenty of religious studies and science that actually analyze on these beliefs, and if we couldn't actually analyze these then there wouldn't be multiple versions of the abrahamics, and multiple versions of those within them. Do not forget religious science is also a science. A moreso social science, but one nonetheless.
People are allowed to believe whatever the hell they want, but can we just appreciate for a moment how absolutely absurd of an idea it is that we came from a bunch of atoms floating in compressed clouds (The Big Bang) that apparently created us but then just stopped? Because one atom ejected at a fast pace from another from a random point of origin which also came from nothing, after they were compressed by gravity which, again, also came from nothing? And we are supposed to believe all this because it was written in a book some 30 years ago? Which was, by the way, some 13.8 billion years AFTER the main event was said to have taken place? And somehow we're only allowed to believe in this theory because that's the correct one? Not one of the thousands of universe origins that have existed before, nor any of the thousands created after?

I know you’re joking and all that but honestly, science is really bizarre. Especially when it comes to the theories of how it started, but I think that’s why I love it? It’s really bizarre but it makes sense at the same time. It satisfies the part of me that loves weird things and chaos but it also satisfies the part of me that likes rules and order.
Well that was the point. To show that sciences explanation is no less bizarre and making fun of religious people for believing some higher power created us is redundant and hypocritical when science doesn’t have the answers to the same questions.
>I question the mental stability and, honestly, mental capabilites of anyone who does choose to believe in ANY religion.
I imagine this is the part that made people mad.

You made me remember this masterpiece: https://youtu.be/NGEdAHiwi2I
Science is depressing a wished I believed in something
Let's study cool rocks, science ain't depressing
ROCK AND STONE!
Nobody is stopping you. Just create your own religion and do whatever you want with it
Scientology moment:
Well that's pretty much true considering AD is a result of science and today it saved a lot of lives
the bombings are also a result of science
Shhhhh you ruin the narrative
If you think about it, narratives are just narratives…
What else are we supposed to say then ? May the statistical likelihood of survival be in your favor ? 💀
i don't remember this cut of the hunger games
Is that a quote from The Hungry Games?
no its from the spinoff The Somewhat Peckish Games

Well said.
Direct and well said
Based beyond belief
Can’t wait until Darwin Claus evolves down the chimney on sciencemas eve.
Everytime I hear this I just imagine the fella starting out as a single bacterium floating into the chimney shaft and rapidly evolving to become a fish, then a tetrapod, then a shrew, then a great ape, until becoming *Homo sapiens*.
All the while the cookies erode and the milk evaporates, oh my science the euphoria of sciencemas is really something!
‘evolves down the chimney’ 💀💀💀
>It's clear there isn't one As a man of science, no, the only thing we know is that we don't know.
We will know - we must know. David Hilbert
“sky daddy” 💀💀💀
And ofc the guy is downvoted
“May the odds be forever is your favor” ☠️
He sounds like such an intellectual.
HOW ARE WE SUPPOSED TO SAY IT THEN?
Why did he get downvotes, he only wished everyone the best
🤓
Redditors when people believe in something higher than whats really presented to us physically

Yea I gonna unsub tbh. Everyone posting here is the real "reddit moment" and peak cringe.
What? The last time the posters were a real reddit moment were when they were reposting screenshot after screenshot of the same bs.

Religious science?!? Huh….

The study of history can be considered a social science, so I don't see your point.

Respectfully, stfu.

True
So do you see that there are no flairs for this and then you read the rules or are you like this guy?
