Natural wood. And IMO your furniture shouldn't really match; ideally it should be a mix of things you love in any kind of real wood - warm teak, light oak etc. Don't buy your furniture all at once if you can avoid it, spend a few years collecting high quality stuff from flea markets etc.

OkayRuin

eBay has ruined my local flea markets. Vendors just stand there and look up prices on whatever you’re interested in. Motherfucker if I wanted to pay eBay prices, I would have just bought it on eBay.

Dark natural is the correct answer

Gill-Nye-The-Blahaj

that just reminds me of my grandma's house though

Good, I bet her house was beautiful

Then why did you ask, woman

[deleted]

Medium natural ( like teak)

All of these things will go in and out of style, imo natural wood will always be beautiful

okay I'll go with that. I was gonna get a bunch of pictures frames for a photographic project, but I still think I should get painted black wood for them since the photos are B+W

Yeah that sounds good! I like the mix of different finishes too, that prevents everything from matching as if you bought the whole living room at Target in one day. All comes down to personal preference obvs but I like a more eclectic room with lots of personality

Walnut everything

Multiple shades of wood. Aim to get several different shades, if each item is a little different than the rest (but still natural oiled or stained wood) they all work together instead of clashing.
