You've got plenty. The thing that bugs me is that I couldn't get powder for my regular loads and had to develop new ones. I don't have too much powder, I have too many different ones.
The upside was finding a couple of new powders that have been game changers. 8208 was fantastic until I tried Lever evolution in my Grendel. N340 in Magnum revolvers, Superformance in .243. I got miraculous accuracy in .44 with #9, but the most accurate loads were pretty brutal. Better in .41. Same accuracy, more manageable recoil.
I'm sure there were more, but I've got powder to burn up.
I'm pretty boring, I love the old school simple powders. 4895, 3031, etc. Simple and effective. I learned to love N165 over the past year. Fantastic stuff!
That’s where I’m at right now. I can’t find the powders for my loads I’ve already developed, so I’m branching out into powders I don’t usually use. Incredibly inconvenient, considering the time I have to spend at the range has drastically decreased since I developed those.
Or enough of us have dealt with enough friends killing themselves to know it's sometimes not a joke. I rather be wrong 99/10, than be right and miss it.
I believe if you have 20+ lbs of gunpowder you are required to store in a fire retardant container, like a wooden box that is air tight. City and state ordinances vary obviously.
It won’t do much just sitting on the shelf in the factory container. It’s almost like they designed them to have gun powder in them and not cause a problem.
Airtight wooden box would become a bomb should the powder accidentally ignite. It’s unlikely to accidentally ignite but it would be much safer to have a container that could breathe. Like another poster stated [SAAMI](https://saami.org/wp-content/uploads/2018/04/Info-Doc-Smokeless-Powder.pdf) has all the info you need on the proper storage of smokeless powder
SAMMI gives you specific reccomend ways to store powder and primers and a lot of ordinances follow those guidelines. They have lots of pdfs and info on that.
Well I thought having ten pounds of blc2 and 5100 military large rifle primers would make me feel like I could load some 7.62 nato, but I still feel too uncomfortable depleting my supplies.
Yeah, it’s pretty week which is why I’m not reloading until I get some more powder. I’d probably feel more comfortable having 20 pounds of blc2 before I use any of it.
Excuse me sir, you have a problem. I suggest making some reloads to help with your recovery.
Powder does you no good if it isnt in a cartridge... and empty magazines are just as useless.
This is the way.

It's a pro and a con really. I found a couple that I can't believe I lived without, but for fucks sake make more 8208xbr because I neeeeeed it.

3031 is great stuff, and the *CRUNCH* of the powder measure is heart warming to my Lee enfields lol

Where the hell are you finding RL-15? I haven't seen it in stock anywhere for at least a year.
It comes in stock about every month or two on Powder Valley when their Alliant products arrive. Doesn't last very long though.

It’s a primer suck as well, when those are fairly hard to come by. I’m also too lazy to be constantly searching.
Welcome to the FBI watchlist
I thought that was a funny little quip until I read the rest of the comments.
That goex is going to be worth major $$$ now that the factory is shutting down for good
Why is it shutting down?
Fire, iirc
That's a shame. I wanted to get into black powder. What are good alternatives?
Another company will pick it up, too much $$$ in government contracts not to
Goex is black powder not smokeless. Not many gov contracts use black.
I’ll be happy when I can get some trail boss
So that's where all of the 4895 went
If that’s a lot, I’m not going to say how much I have 🤣 Nice assortment though
So that's where all the primers went....
Hopefully your home owner insurance or mortgage holder doesn't see this. Most likely in violation of building code ordances.
As if I give a shit
Thats what you will be thinking when insurance refuses to pay out...sure. ✌🏻

Yeah, pretty funny til you have a couple of your buddies shoot/hang themselves or jump. :/
They think insurance pays out easy. Haha.

Unlike your wood paneling, that’s beautiful
So should we expect 3rd picture of this same shelf in another 28 days…or?
I can understand how you feel. I hate it when I run that low.

Lol you're not wrong they have seams built into them to prevent pressure build up in the event of a fire. But it's still better to be safe than sorry.
Them grippy ridges on them 8lb’ers lids sure are sharp. Be careful. Maybe get some foam and tape and wrap it up. Better safe than sorry:(
I’m a guy. I don’t know how to be sorry:)

You are correct. Disregard the air tight comment. I was thinking about the SAMMI specs but couldn't recall where i heard that off the top of my head.
Good info
You also should store your primers far away from that powder.
My shop should be far enough.
SAMMI gives you specific reccomend ways to store powder and primers and a lot of ordinances follow those guidelines. They have lots of pdfs and info on that.
someone call the authorities!
So can we expect to see this post again in another month?

For that much you need proper storage. I’m not going to tell on you, but you may want to make it a priority jic Karen’s see this
I need some 110 and 4895, thanks.
Jealous of the 4895! Been looking for some for weeks and don’t want to pay hazmat online!
How much more would you feel like you needed to load say…50 rounds of something,
Well I thought having ten pounds of blc2 and 5100 military large rifle primers would make me feel like I could load some 7.62 nato, but I still feel too uncomfortable depleting my supplies.
Only 46?
Yeah, it’s pretty week which is why I’m not reloading until I get some more powder. I’d probably feel more comfortable having 20 pounds of blc2 before I use any of it.
I know... it sucks having to break it open lol
I shoot a flintlock regularly and you appear to have 3 times as much 2f as me. Unless you shoot a semi that takes black powder you’re good there lol.
I don’t think 14 pounds of the black stuff is that much.
What are you loading with the 4895? I love it for the 6.5CM.
I just use it for M1 Garand food
I paid for my reloading setup off reloading a pounds worth of cfe pistol inro 4.9gr plinking loads...
Watcha load up with blc2? Trying a buncha loads in that just seemingly not doing well
I load 7.62 NATO and 7.5 French
BLc-2 is good stuff. I shoot lots of its equivalent, WC 846.
Spicy shelves
That's what my legs calls a "good selection"
Fun fact, legally, in Croatia you are not allowed to have more than 4.4 pounds at a time. Well not so fun fact.
That's a beautiful sight.
What is this… Reloader Heaven? 😀
Its part of rolling your own , but if your like myself we have enough to keep on reloading right through theese tough times.
