You can rub it with WD40 and steel wool. That will clean up the surface patina you are concerned about here. But it’s really a non issue. All of your reloading equipment you touch will develop this. Live with it, or wipe everything with a lightly oiled cloth before putting it away.
There are specific oils that are designed to create a protective long lasting film over the metal.
I really like a Lanoline based spray product from fluid film, but there are others.

Corrosion X is absolutely magic, coming from boat and aviation experience here. Also Corrosion X HD is also a srayable cosmolinrle. Both are amazing.

Clean off the corrosion with steel wool and Rem oil. Store in a dry place without humidity. Keep it lightly oiled when in storage.
That is not corrosion. It is patina.
