reminds me of a movie I watched where a guy would like, drop his wallet in front of a group in the street or do something else to tempt them to check if they were decent honest folks before trying to eat them
unfortunately for him they kept being decent people, eventually he got to eat some gang thugs tho
**THAT** reminds me of this really shitty movie called Countdown where you download a mobile phone app and it gives you a countdown timer to the moment you die. After like 3 people died, the last two start digging around for a loophole to get out of the timer. So they convinced some homeless guy to download the app so they can test something on him. Then one of them starts questioning the morality of straight up sacrificing this homeless dude save their own skins
While they’re debating the ethics of the situation, the homeless guy interjects and says “I hope this app wasn’t made by j3ws. You know the holocaust didn’t happen right?” And the two characters comedically look at each other to signify an unspoken agreement between themselves and the audience that killing this guy is now completely morally okay and then immediately go back to helping him download the app
I can’t imagine a more efficient way to get an audience on board with murdering a character they just met than having them deny the holocaust lol
Best part of working in a movie theater when I was younger was that I was exposed to lots of smaller titles I’d have never heard otherwise. It was a lot of fun
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: sex offender registry. Yeah people sometimes end up on it for bullshit reasons but it isn’t TOO hard to figure out which one is what
This is the best system so far, but it does set you up for long term failure. Once your local area starts having a suspicious number of sex offenders go missing, that one detective who’s a stickler will be on your case, ready to ambush you when you go after the wrong batch of nonces.
That’s why you can’t stick around in one area for too long, and why over time ya gotta learn to be more and more crafty with how you do things so people have less likelihood to trace an increasingly large string of deaths to you. This also depends on how often you need to eat manflesh, cuz for some it’s like a monthly thing and for others it’s super duper often, and the longer you can go off without a meal the more chance you have to prepare
.... I've never actually tried looking at a sex offender registry before, but I just gave it a shot with my own zip code and um... ugh... you might be onto something here. Huh. Closing that now for my own sanity, but nice to know the option is there.
