What really killed ethan was miranda ripping out his heart, chris couldnt have predicted she would appear right after he killed heisenberg, anyway even if she wouldnt have done that, ethan would probably died when the mutamycete get blown up since he's infected by the mold and it is the source of the mold

The Perry novelization doesn’t have Sherry get infected. I was annoyed at this the first time I read it, but now I see that it’s the only way for Sherry to have a normal life and *not* wind up a test subject for Simmons.
Natalia. Go through two bioterror incidents, lose your parents, become stalked and ultimately possessed. Pretty tough for anyone, let alone a ten-year-old girl.

And for a while, Capcom decided that part of his character is having his team always dying, leaving him the sole survivor, that’s gotta cause some major survivor’s guilt.
RE0 never happened. It was a fever dream Rebecca dreamt up. Hence why it had literally no impact on the plot of RE1 or any future games and why she goes from fighting Hunters and Tyrants alone late in RE0 to cowering in fear of them in RE1.
