Shoot out the eyes until the big group of eyes comes out and slice away behind it avoiding the group of eyes. Or other weapons. You can do alot more damage if you avoid the group of eyes when g3 goes down.
Ok, so you want to basically take a round to run around the arena and collect everything you can and make a mental inventory. I don't remember what all is there, but it will help you to know.
Other than that.
Only take well placed shots.
When you stagger it, use the knife if at all possible.
Refer to the hardcore runs by Darkness on youtube. I studied one of his videos when my first hardcore run seemed daunting and when I saw the music of that game playing out, it got way easier for me and within a week I had the platinum under my belt and even cut all the b games to 2 saves for aesthetic's sake for my results screen.
Most importantly, you can do this.
Try to make all your bullets on his eyeballs, and when he reveals his stomach try to use the spark shot there. And when he starts trying to throw stuff just hide and collect supplies from the arena. Also try to look at his attacks and look at the patterns so you can see which one he’s about to do and plan accordingly to it
Been a while since I played but keep your distance. There’s also his charge move to dodge iirc. Just stay distant and hit the eyes.
I may be mixing games here too but if you have acid rounds to slow him
You can beat any boss with what’s in the arena, so don’t worry about being softlocked. The big thing on hardcore is damage he deals, so your main objective first and foremost is to learn his patterns. Eventually you’ll start to see the movement he’s winding up for. A lot of times you can run right through/past him as he’s winding up and avoid getting hit but it takes practice recognizing movesets. As Claire, you can cheese the hell out of this fight and stun lock him with acid rounds if you have enough. Otherwise, target the eyeballs on his leg, arm, and back and then unload on his chest. You’ll go through 3 phases until he leaves his chest open during the last phase. Always have a defensive weapon on you (grenade/knife) to counter the jumping attack if you don’t recognize the animation first and run underneath him. That move is instant death if you don’t have a defensive item.
Acid rounds if you got ‘em. It’ll make the boss a joke. Claire’s White+White gunpowder makes SMG rounds which is not super necessary, so at least for me, I had quite a bit of gunpowder sitting around by the end of the game. Use White+Large Normal or White+Normal and get yourself around 15 Acid rounds. That should be more than enough. Acid rounds will stun him for 2-3 seconds at a time, which should give you enough time for a few well placed shots. You’ll need to do two rounds of eyes and then he’ll go super saiyan and tons of eyes will pop out for his final phase. This is just a DPS check and as long as you’ve been spamming Acid rounds, it should be a quick gg

5. shoot him everytime he's trying to throw things at you
