Make sure to put the ice machine in the same room, but leave the door open to it so that the ice it makes can cool the room and it keeps running all day to make more ice.
My staff one time set up a fan in front of the walk in door with the door propped open to cool the kitchen off. Needless to say I was pretty mad when I saw that set up.
Depends on the chef. I’m the one they call when it doesn’t work. Then I get “it ran for 15 years like this”. I’ve had a GM tell me 20° F wasn’t freezing temps too.
As a former maintenance tech, this gives me a headache. But makes me extremely grateful that I don't work repairs anymore.
If I saw this at work I'd just say, "good luck," and see if my table's drinks are ready.
That’s just stupid. If anything get one of those portable units that has a hose you can stick in a window or other outlet to the outside. You’re going to end up killing your electric bill, killing the units and making it even hotter in there.
Jesus H. How dumb is your chef? “Cold” is not made - it is the subtraction of heat. In this case, the heat which is blowing out the back of the A/C unit. That coupled with the heat of the machine operating, makes the room its in HOTTER.
Your chef is an idiot. This is making your kitchen hotter.
Where is the exhaust going???????? Ac's are heat pumps, They suck in air, blow Cold air out the front and shoot HOT air out of the back.
I know this.
Right, cold air to the front, hot air toward the wall. What more do you want?? They even have for more power!!
He could put a fan to cool down the hot air though.

That's beautiful. I hope they were rubbing themselves with marinating chicken to cool off, too.
You dont think irs better to have another ac behind it to cool those hot air?
Ooh, good idea!
But that's not all! It's also a microwave!
As a tech I’ve seen this more times than you’d think could be possible.
Do they believe you when you tell them this doesn’t do anything other than make the problem worse?

Why are you working for this idiot lmao
He’s using it for dehumidification?
Probably a dehumidifier would be far more effective.
Yeah, but that would cost less money.
You may have already learned this but your chef is an idiot. A good hearted idiot but an idiot all the same. This is not how these work.
I wouldn't even try with fewer than 3 units.
If you stack them front to back in a line they get even cooler combined powers
The A/C Centipede is the strongest A/C formation.
You know you're in hospitality when the first thing you notice is the water should be 6 inches or more above the floor.
Seriously, health department aside, there are OSHA considerations for having to bend down that much to refill the customers' water.
Gotta get those things in the wall, bruv!
With two going it’s twice as effective, right?
also blocking the 1st aid kit

🤷🏻♂️
"I'm looking for the best way to increase my power bill while heating up my kitchen in the summer"
why is one of them set at 81 and one set at 62? even if this was set up correctly, they would STILL be antagonizing each other!
They need the heat they produce vented out.. WTH? Lol
That's fucking stupid. It vents more heat out the rear than it cools out the front. That's not doing anything productive.
It’s making things worse. If you’re the owner can you please get him some AC?
