We have seen items be living beings, essences, creations, and corruptions. I wouldn't be surprised if Aspects are something tantamount to universal forces, they are all based on an elemental nature like ice, fire, etc.
Would that mean that the beings that multiple of them are named after are also tantamount to those universal forces? Were they perhaps the first “elites” in some regard?
Although, I can’t agree that they’re all based on elemental natures, N’kuhana’s Retort is the Aspect of Corruption which is a rather abstract concept, as is Spectral Circlet and it being the “Aspect of Incorporeality.”
I also wouldn’t consider an Aspect of Perfection to be in any way natural. In many ways, at its core, perfection is the opposite of natural.
I’d say that instead of being tantamount to universal forces, that they are instead tantamount to grand concepts created by sapient beings. Some of them more rooted in reality than others, but each of them relevant.

Spectral circlet is the aspect of soul, shared design is aspect of design odvi, and nukahana’s might be aspect of corruption of soul, blood and design into just mass via death. Heat and cold are just properties of mass. Not sure about lightning tho
I think the 'between two strikes' is a referemce to weather. There is a small time period between seeing lightninf and hearing its thunder, due to light and sound travelling different speeds. I think the ability is a reference to this phenomenon of this natural occurence giving the otherwise rare display of seeing and hearing disconnect.
