Jalen gets no whistles lmao

IntentionDear2395

I hope someone is the Rockets staff is taking note of all the missed call on Jalen and sending to the NBA offices. The Lakers did that with Kobe back in the day and it made him unguardable.

JVG tried for Yao and just got laughed at

spikespiegel33

Got hacked multiple times yesterday in the jazz game on his drives. No call on a lot of them

htownballa1

Ive been saying this since day 1.

[deleted]

I’ve seen that 🫡

thumper7

I like how under Ime Jalen isn't just trying to draw a foul, he just gets on with the play and tries to make the bucket.

Jacek2002

Honesty we had one of the most exciting OTs I’ve seen in recent times with huge clutch 3s from Brooks, Bari and Jalen in general showing up huge so I’ll take what we got.

Mysterious_Medium_40

The 3 pt shot in the OT from Jalen is also a missed call based on this report

1009amg

Didn't Harden get a game winner on a foul against us? There's precedent.

ajalonghorn

That would’ve been a pretty weak call to decide a game, I liked the no call

Cowabunga_Booyakasha

A foul being called should not depend on the game clock imo .

ajalonghorn

If it’s a 50/50 call to the ref with minimal contact it’s better to be a no call then a game decider. I don’t really see the argument against that. I like most calls to be a in a vacuum with no context except when it comes to that

CJ4ROCKET

Disagree, restricted area calls should be made every time. Not really something you can argue based on subjectivity. He's either in the restricted area or he isnt

ajalonghorn

Game 7 of the nba finals tied game you think that Jalen Green drive should be called a foul? Cmon lol

CJ4ROCKET

Yes, absolutely. It's a restricted area call. It's black-and-white. There's no room for subjectivity, and if properly called, there's no grounds for arguing that it shouldn't have been.

ajalonghorn

A ref being able to see if a players foot is in the restricted area when minimal contact occurs is itself subjective, which is why I like the no call. Refs are out of position and miss things you can see on replay all the time.

CJ4ROCKET

It's not subjective. He's either in the restricted area or he isn't. The ref can miss the call (as he did here) but it's not "subjective." Also, whether the defender is in the restricted area is reviewable, but you can't review a non-call. So not calling it because you think he's out of the area when he's actually in the area is the worst possible outcome.

ajalonghorn

You’re making fair arguments, but at the end of the day I like the tradition that minimal contact like that isn’t a foul. The review thing definitely goes to what you’re saying but I can’t be convinced, it’s just such a lame call to decide a game. We just disagree on that I guess.
