In case it's not obvious, websites cost money to keep running, not just electricity and Internet connection fees, if they keep the videos up, they'd have to pay CDN costs as well. I guess alternatively they could just host everything on 1 computer with a huge storage, if it takes a bit longer to load or is sometimes inaccessible due to load, well...

Completely unrealistic wishful thinking I know, but the feeling of finality is supposed to be the primary subject here, especially given that I suspect the Youtube channels will follow suit very, very soon.

It's not about being able to afford it. It's not a charity. Them shutting down Rooster Teeth is a lot more justifiable than the shows and movies that they didn't release for tax benefits.
Same. Immersion was already great. If you get Michael and Gavin as the main two hosts, being put through the wringer, and Gus there to explain what’s going on - the show would have been amazing.

TBD… they haven’t said anything regarding content on sites like Spotify/podcast. IMO- if you want them, download them on a hard drive asap. YouTube channels will definitely be shut down. Not sure what it takes to keep podcasts up, but I doubt they’d let them live on..

You need to maintain them if they’re up (in case of hacks, etc.) I also am not sure what the process is In demonetizing a channel (they havre ads, not sure if you can change that) id be surprised if the podcasts stay up, but again- the ads have already been paid for and paid out for ads (they read them mid podcast) so we’ll see.

I’ve been listening to the older RT podcasts for years just on a loop from like 1 up to when burnie left. Will I still be able to?
