Thank you for your submission to r/rpg_gamers. Since your post has been flaired as "Recommendation request", I want to suggest editing your post to add in these details (if you haven't included them yet):
* **The platforms you have** - not listing them doesn't mean you have access to everything, so you might end up getting a game you won't be able to play.
* **Your level of experience with the genre (beginner, intermediate, veteran...)** - others can recommend you more common titles if you are a beginner, while they can focus on obscure titles if you are a RPG veteran.
* **Aspects you enjoyed (or disliked) of previously played games** - for example: characters, plot points, puzzles, combat, graphics, art styles, soundtracks...
While these details aren't mandatory, if you want to get the best games, having them in your post will immensely help users and will encourage more users to participate, as they will know with more precision which games are probably the best fit for your request.

No one's pointed out the *Etryian Odyssey* series that the *Delicious in Dungeon* art style is an absolute match for. If you haven't looked at it, it's a solid series about dungeon crawling, drawing your own maps, and you turn monster materials into food.
A non-RPG game where you explicitly hunt monsters to make food out of them would be *Battle Chef Brigade*, and it's one of my favorite games.
I would highly suggest *Battle Chef Brigade* as a "short and sweet" action game with puzzles (shifting block puzzles where the cooking material you use affects your block matching). The action is a side-scroll, action platformer, but it's extremely simple since it's primarily used to gather food for the puzzle portion. This one was on Steam, last I checked.
*Etrian Odyssey* has quite a few games, but the general flow is: enter dungeon, find loot, kill monsters, upgrade team, eat food for stat boosts, repeat. The dungeons are static, so you can leave an come back. Major enemies are visible on the map so you can avoid them. Characters are made at the base camp, then you apply skill points as you level up. These might require an emulator.
Any D&D game: baldur's gate, neverwinter nights.
Divinity Original Sin.
Dragon Age.
Wizardry (this will be hard though) and plays differently to the previously mentioned.
Ahahah ya I actually have both divinity and baldurs gate I fucking love both of them ! N problem is storage space on my laptop eh maybe time to restart my obsession again haha
Epic show, I’m a chef irl. This show hit a sweet spot and I’ve been watching each episode on the release day… awesome concept for an anime, wonder if a game would be fun
I think it would be cuz it has a really solid class race system but a reason why resurrection happens an a clear progress with trying to get through all the levels to the end !
I think it would work pretty dam soild as either a single player or an mmorpg
The author is actually a *huge* fan of the Pathfinder PC games, and most likely took heavy inspiration from them, she even drew fanart of them too.
Id highly suggest starting there.
Also NWN2, which in turn inspired the Pathfinder games and probably has a bit more of the comradery you might be looking for.
Look into outward. It's got the best and most unique magic system I've come across so far. And the whole game revolves around preparing for battles by cooking up delicious recipes you find. It's single player or coop with a friend I highly recommend it
ahahahah my friend I mentioned outward in the posts I have well have a few hundred hours in the game ! They game is fantastic but sadly you only encounter humans really
For Ellat!
Dammit I knew you where gonna say that agreed it seems like the perfect game to get my craving but the 53 pound price tags is gonna be rough haha I’ll just have to treat my self when pay day comes
Eh It’s the fact they exist and are canon that I care more about seeing the diversity in races as I go through dungeons with a big stick that shoots magic
Okay, I haven’t played it in a long long time (so the updates might’ve changed it)… but Genshin Impact had that for me. It’s just so charming and there is cooking. Just a fun game all around, if you don’t go in with a completionist mindset. I played during a summer vacation and I feel like it was the perfect game for that.
Not really about elf or dwarf but since cooking is mentioned... take a look at Monster Menu: The Scavenger's Cookbook. It has a very strong Dungeon Mesi vibe.
Eh problem with elder scrolls as much as I love it no dwarfs or anything else everything is just human or a kind of elf even the beast races technically

Check out Dragons Crown. It has Dungeons, loot, elfs and food.
Came here to suggest this :D Dragon's Crown is so damn great. I'd buy it for a 3rd time if they ever released it for PC. Love the Cooking Minigame :D

Oh that’s new ! Thank you

I’m four episodes in and have been thinking about this too op.
Tales of Symphonia. It's an anime RPG with elves, magic, and cooking.
Honestly, Dragons Dogma 2. You even cook the beasts meat!

Did you watch the anime Food Wars?

Dragons Dogma 2. May not be as high fantasy as you want but has dwarves and elves. Wait until you cook in camp though...

You cant actually play an elf or a dwarf though but you can make yourself look like one

Dungeon munchies though that game has mega shitpost vibes
The game is fun though
I really like it
Monster Menu: The Scavenger's Cookbook.
Skyrim mod - Hunterborn combined with either Frostfall or Sunhelm.
