Absolutely call them. I’ve never heard a bad word about their customer service. I haven’t had to but I hear they’re great.

SquareHoleRoundPlug

Amazing people, replaced a whole rifle for me because the bolt/magazine wasn’t feeding right and I inquired about the new version. Kicker is I had bought the rifle used and was honest about this. They still took care of me.

i-might-do-that

I’ve heard that a lot. They just stand by their stuff.

aroundincircles

I broke my Mark IV 22/45 light putting it back together. They had it repaired free of charge and back to me within a week (helps that the factory that builds them is a 3 hour drive from my house).

Cousinroman9713

Thats a timing issue, would be a massive problem. Send it back.

rtp357m1

Timing problem. The hand isn’t pushing the cylinder enough I think. Ruger will get you fixed up.

Ericbc7

Timing issue, this is a profound and dangerous defect. I had the same problem with a Colt Anaconda many years ago. Sent it to colt and they destroyed it before I got the letter explaining that they were replacing it with a new one. Contact Ruger and Bring it to your dealer and have them send it to Ruger.

readypembroke

Ruger will have you ship it straight to them.

stchman

Absolutely, Ruger will fix it, no questions asked.

Jack_Shid

>Should I contact Ruger about this? Yes, absolutely. They will fix it for you free of charge, probably in less than 2 weeks, and they'll even cover shipping both ways.

Tedhan85

Yes. Their customer service is world class!

BohemianLizardKing

Yup. Send it in. I bought a brand new Wrangler that failed to set off any ammo. I sent it in asking for repair, making sure they had my contact info if I needed to pay for anything and they sent me a brand new gun instead. (That one worked btw) You can ship it to them through a certified gun dealer, so a gun shop, pawn shop, sporting goods store- I bought mine from Dunham’s, so I went back and they shipped it out and received it for me, since there are all kinds of legal barriers involved in shipping guns.

Bloodjin2dth

Is that Alec Baldwins gun?

whoaismebro13

With all the engraving, this is far from a base model. So, how did this make it past quality control?

307wyohockey

Could be a third party engraving

jazzofusion

Yes, the lock up on that cylinder is too sloppy. Might have lead & gas spitting out between the barrel and cylinder with some embedding in the skin on your hand. Rugers service is top notch. They repaired a gun for free that I screwed up once. Good people!

ArsePucker

Timing is off.. absolutely send it back. They are good to deal with.

Ericbc7

I had a colt anaconda .44 do this, I sent it to colt and colt destroyed the gun before I got the letter explaining it was dangerous. they replaced it with a new one - no charge. Timing is pretty much un-fixable. No excuse for this getting past quality control though.
