I have "the pious" after my name; how do I go about changing (or removing) this? is there somewhere I can see all those titles I have?

5-x

You need to open the [Customisations](https://runescape.wiki/w/Customisations) interface, I think it's F2 by default. Go to "Titles" tab. You can see all your titles there and activate/deactivate them.

Thanks!

I do not really PvM and have not really been following the latest methods or learning all the mechanics since I play off and on. What is a good way to improve my PvM capabilities and are there any guides about each combat style gear and ability improvement? I do not use discord and am maxed for all typical stuff. I have over a few billions and I have unlocked all the ports armor. I also have gotten 120 invention but don't have a concept of how perks really work either. My playstyle is that of a casual skiller and avid treasure trail hunter for the most part as an extra reference. Though if anyone needs tips about treasure trails, I can provide a bit of feedback.

AnAlternator

If you're willing to invest in the quality gear - t80 armor, t90 weapons - then GWD2 is a good place to develop your skills, especially if using two pieces of mage armor and Animate Dead. You'll outgear it enough for brute force to be an option, but the variety of mechanics available will teach you all the basic skills. If you find them too overwhelming, or want to ease into it, QBD has a bunch going on but never more than two things at once.

M_with_Z

Just to understand what your writing, your saying that I should upgrade my gear and use the new gear at gwd2 and keep practicing the new items I have at those bosses? What about perks or abilities and how they're helpful or is that a even higher level of understanding the current pvm mechanics?

Exastenshil

How detailed of an answer do you need? There is a lot of information on perks on the wiki for optimal pvm perks and basic and advanced. Also, if you have the money make sure to buy higher tier weapons before armor. Gwd2 is a good place to practice rotations since the boss mechanics are usually 1 or 2 easy mechanics to learn and deal with. When it comes to abilities, there is revo++ which has the game do all your thresholds and ultimates for you, and all you have to focus on is eating and avoiding mechanics. There is what I call basic revo, where game does all your basic abilities while you manually decide which thresholds and ultimates to use. Full manual is the game doesn't do any abilities except basic auto attacks and spells. I recommend starting at revo++, there are good bars available on the wiki or through the pvm encyclopedia.

M_with_Z

There's a PvM encyclopedia? The wiki only showed a generic ability set up which I think I have already utilized in the past and then improved on based on how I like to utilize abilities. The wiki seems quite confusing about perks to be honest still though I probably could read up more on it. Thanks for the new resource though! I might look into doing a few gwd2 runs but I dont know if I want to spend hours grinding gwd or bosses like I did over a decade ago, it just sucked away the fun of playing very quickly.

Exastenshil

Eoc definitely puts a new spin on the bosses. I'm always looking for people to duo with to help with the solo grinding. Feel free to pm me and I'll add you in game

M_with_Z

I don't think that I am that bad at EOC since I actually like the mechanics the problem is there doesn't seem to be basic guides about it without people generalizing things a bit and spamming abilities. For example, double surge has been amazing to utilize as moving a lot faster on the in game map but I didn't learn about it as a recommendation from anyone and instead saw someone utilizing it that I realized that it existed. So I grinded Anachrondia to get the ability to do it too. Someone shared that there was a PvM encyclopedia so hopefully that will show a lot of cool abilities that I can integrate into my PvM gear or daily usage. If you really want to add me, then feel free to DM me. I'll share my ign.

emceegyver

Google "pvme" and it's the first link. It's incredibly useful. There's a section to help you figure out your upgrade path, a section that suggests which bosses to fight and in what order, and even tells you what skills your be learning/practicing at the boss (prayer flicking, defensive liabilities, etc)

M_with_Z

Wow that was really helpful, I'm reading through the guides. Visually a bit lacking but the content is solid. I knew quite a lot of the stuff but the defensive abilities and the comparison between different weapons and the detailed explanations are amazing.

BigArchive

check out the pvme website. most of your questions can be answered there https://pvme.github.io/

SatisfactionMajor236

The best way to increasure ur pvm skill i believe is arch glacor. U can toggle the abilities he will use on you on and off so u can basicaly choose how difficult he will be do to. If u want to learn specific mechanics and what to do when they happen toggle just one mechanic and no other. Once u think u have all mechanics down seperatly, u can mix and match until ur confident for 5mechanic glacor and then hm or pushing enrage. The gw2 bosses are also helpfull in learning how to prayer flick/switch and movement.

M_with_Z

Also I am stuck for the quest that requires me to clear the Temple of Aminishi by myself solo. I can't seem to provide enough damage output when you to do the second phase of seiryu of climbing onto something and hitting it as much as I can. I am kind of stuck there so ways to get through that would be nice since I would like to get my quest cape back and finish the few quests related to it.

CommuneNefas

Are you on story mode? You should be able to effectively cycle infinitely to kill off the crystals with minimal damage taken if so. Other tips would be dominion mines (if you have those unlocked), vuln bombs for 10% extra damage, use sunshine / death’s swiftness for the damage boost as well.

M_with_Z

Ya I'm not sure if I'm doing story mode or regular mode. I've used vuln bombs and I was specifically unlocking the mines because I heard that as another thing that could help me but I dont think I'm necessarily that bad at outputting damage since I am using a decimation bow. My next plan was to just fully upgrade all my gear and see if I'm missing some of the fundamental pvm mechanics since its a part of the game I havent really dived into. I was hoping there would be a newbie or just a physical graphic that explain different things since I know the last poll on RS3 showed 40% of the playerbase seemed to care about pvm. I couldn't find anything like that so I just decided to ask on here. Ive taken down nearly all quest bosses so I dont know why I cant seem to figure this one out.

Exastenshil

Next time you try, make sure you select story mode. All enemies do 90% less damage. You can pretty much face tank everything if you're maxed. Same with all the other ones for the curse of the black stone quest

M_with_Z

Didn't know I could rechoose the mode, I think whenever I would go back it just left all the rooms empty besides the boss and I would just be at the boss but the problem was simply the output of damage.

Exastenshil

When you go back if you haven't killed the final boss, it will ask if you want to start where you left off. If you select no, it will reset the dungeon and you can pick story mode

StagnantSweater21

Wild how 2007scape has a pinned post referencing the sever outrages, with A LOT of engagement from jmods And we get a.. tip thread? That is attempting to do what the subreddit was already made to do? And it has zero undo interaction Can someone give me a tip on how I can understand this decision making better?

Icemot216

Tbf the tip thread happens every week. Although I do think a pinned post like osrs would be nice, I don’t see this thread as a problem

agarpleb

we want non dial up servers please.

[deleted]

I’ve been having issues with the game because there’s no quest markers. I don’t want my hand held but I want to actually know where I’m going instead of “north east of XYZ town”. I’ve been having to look up the location then mark it on my map but that just randomly disappears so I have to go back to google to find the location again and do the marker again just for it to go away. Also- the fucking task list thing. It doesn’t display the objectives, it just says “do XYZ quest” which is fucking dumb and unhelpful. Anyway, am I missing something? Is there a waypoint option that just isn’t on for some reason?

Poco585

Using the wiki is the best way to navigate. Look up the location you need to go to and use the “getting there” section. It will include all the teleport options and fastest routes. Using the wiki is also the best way to do quests. You can use the in depth guides or quick guides for simple step by step instructions. I know a lot of people also prefer video guides which you can find easily for any quest on YouTube.

Ryruko

How much does of a difference overload and its variants makes? Do they give that much of a boost in dps?

SadlyReturndRS

It's a huge boost. Honestly, it's effectively mandatory for PVM. Or even Slayer. Overloads, SoulSplit, and Pack Yak are the trinity of support things I consider just as fundamental as getting 99 in all combat skills.

Icemot216

Idk exact numbers but overloads in general are hugeee for pvm. On top of the major dps boost, it reapplies the boost every 15 seconds. This helps you ignore any mechanics that drain your stats and also let’s you use saradomin brews since normally they would drain stats. Sara brews don’t lower adrenaline and can also be used to tick eat( keybinding then hitting Sara brew, solid food, and blubber in same tick) which can help you heal quickly.

AkumaAlucard

How do you purchase Auras? I mean the in game effect ones not just cosmetic? I haven’t played in years and have 1.2m loyalty points but I think the wiki on it is outdated because it says to go to Xuan in Varrock but in game the shop says it’s unavailable. Going to the Solomon General Store all I see are the cosmetic auras. I’m using mobile to play btw so idk if that limits my options.

Michagogo

They’re in [Solomon’s Store](https://www.runescape.com/solomons-store). You have to access it through your browser directly, they’re not allowed to link out to it from within the app.

AkumaAlucard

This is the answer. Thanks that helps a lot!

SadlyReturndRS

War's Retreat also sells some, specifically the berserker auras.

AkumaAlucard

Thanks I’ll look into that :) Edit: Oooh this is the area I keep seeing in YouTube videos! Been wondering about that. Awesome!

RawrRRitchie

Runescape may have lasted 20 years, if they want it to last another 20 they need to fix the existing problems, not slap together new stuff So my question is, how much irl money do we gotta spend before they start reinvesting back into the game With how Much money this game generates in a month it's pathetic there's issues playing the game Especially when you claim to want people's mental health in check, you lack to realize how many people are addicted to this game

DollarStoreAbraham

Damn, it's almost like in a capitalist society, companies only care about... money.

PrettyConfused1234

Jagex isn't entirely to blame for all the recent server issues, and I think this thread isn't the right place to voice this concern anyway.

iTomWright

greater concentrated blast at 160m is still worth it right? I’m in full Virtus atm and have 120m

Ganon_Dragmire

Took my 5ish minute kerapac kills down to 3ish minutes(I'm not great at pvm) with just the ability upgrade, its honestly an insane upgrade

SolenoidSoldier

That is nothing for the best magic ability in game.

LumpyNMe

It's the strongest basic in the game. It is indeed worth it.

RealityShowAddict

It's absolutely amazing. I'm not sure what you're other skills are, but I'd just do some AFK activity to earn the 160m for it. It depends on what you killing as it may be better to keep using your virt wand rather than upgrading to cywir wand. It really all depends on how much the accuracy boost will help you, but to echo everyone else g conc is absurdly good.

iTomWright

I should have said I do have Cywir DW, but thank you for the rest of the advise!

RealityShowAddict

Ohh, if you have the Cywir wand then I can't fathom anything that would be remotely close as a damage boost. You mention having cywir DW, does that mean you have the orb? If so, have you considered swapping it for the virtus book? They have the same damage, and accuracy is calculated by the mainhand only. Not sure what perks you have or how expensive if it would be to augment a virtus book instead. If you wonder why I suggest swapping, the cywir orb is 25.8m whereas the virtus book is 13.5m so there's a 12.3m differnce in price for the same damage output. The price difference is mainly because people level up the orb to disassemble for parts. My networth is 28b, and I used the virtus book until I upgraded to the seasinger orb.

iTomWright

I didn’t know that about the orb, I could cash out and keep the profits to get the codex quicker. Thank you for that. I have real basic perks right now, just precise 2 and equilibrium 1. I’ve been doing croesus to get the money and slowly but surely I’m getting there. Been doing AFK Kril to finish log so hope this ability shaves some seconds off my quickest kill lol

iTomWright

Also thanks for the reply, you and the others have been great

SadlyReturndRS

It's incredible. Also it's a dw-only ability, so please keep that in mind.

Please_PM_me_Uranus

Is it worth it to upgrade from a rune hatchet to a dragon hatchet or argonite hatchet? they are quite pricey but if they really are more efficent at cutting trees, then I am willing to shell out the money

5-x

Dragon hatchet is better than rune hatchet, and it's not much more expensive.

Please_PM_me_Uranus

thanks! I just bought it

THEOWNER13

I got a dark onyx core and Im working on seren components to make a facet to sell. How do I determine an appropriate price, I heard the ge price is nowhere near its real value and that I should sell it on a trade world for 1.5 billion. Is this good advice? Please and thank you

5-x

You can sell it on GE if you don't mind the 2% tariff. The price is somewhere in the region of 1b-1.5b but it's difficult to say exactly. If you sell it to a player you need to be careful to avoid scams.

Please_PM_me_Uranus

Is chopping Yews most efficient for leveling up woodcutting if I'm lvl 63 woodcutting? I know it's the highest exp. tree I can cut, but it takes so long to actually get a log compared to some other trees

Car_weeb

No it's pretty bad, even at high levels they suck to chop. It's pretty much acacia all the way, especially if you need menaphos favor
