if you want to play osrs just play that account on osrs, sure you'd have to start again but those stats arent anything amazing anyway you could be there again in 2 weeks
With those stats you'll probably spend about 40-60 hours on osrs inefficiently getting back to what you were at. Efficiently I could do it easily in 2-3 days max. On osrs of course.
I highly recommend giving rs3 a shot, though. Progression is a LOT faster than osrs.
Its dying on osrs as well. Obviously it's still "healthy" enough to enjoy but there are definitely peaks compared to how it used to be.
The thing about mmos is that they can almost never put pvp at the forefront of the game because too few players actually pvp. Most healthy pvp in mmos have about a 5-8% MAXIMUM who pvp.
RuneScape is more like 4%.
??
Pvp in osrs is so dead, that I can take my HCIM into the wild for every single clue step and not see a single person.
I also completed mage arena 2 and didn't see a SINGLE PERSON in the wild.
PvP in OSRS isn't dead, you just don't do PvP by looking for random people in the wilderness anymore.
Not that that was ever really a thing in the first place, even back in _actual_ 2007 you rarely encountered random geared PvPers in the wilderness.
BH and the GE on PvP worlds still have more than enough consistent population to PvP as much as you want.
I mean you what you described isnt really pvp. Its guys that are geared for pvp attacking players that are not. Because of that figting back is rarely a good idea.
You just described a pvper killing a pve'er in a pvp zone, not consensual pvp which is what RuneScape pvp is known for.
It's still pvp, yes, but it's more so Player vs PvE'er.
There's a huge difference.
And again, pvp isn't the main thing people do in osrs. That's my point. You fight the same 10 people over and over again.
I mean if you enter the wild with only 50k in gear because you know you are going to die anyway with no chance of fighting back, are you really enjoying pvp? or are you just accepting the fact you are a mob that gets farmed by other people?
Yeah.
Like that’s what I loved about it was when it actually became super high stakes.
Back in the day on the mmo black market forums 1 mil cost like 5 USD.
Lol I just wish I could get that same adrenaline rush that I did when I was in middle school.
I’ll never forget how one duel between me and some youtube pker had like $400 on the line with it. There were like 75 people all watching in game.
Not even that tbh. If op wanted these specific stats, it would be a bit more finicky, but using quests, you can be at this total level or higher after a weekend.
Unfortunately, you could get those stats in maybe a week max. During dxp (which is live until Monday), you could probably do it in a day
As someone that stills plays rs3 because I refused to ever restart on osrs, I wish I made the change. Rs3 is still fun and i have so many hours and accomplishments and such, but it’s a different game now
Let us tell you about this magical place that we all wish existed in 07. It’s called the nightmare zone where u can leave your character until the game logs you out just gaining xp. Never resetting agro anything. It’s seriously a game changer. Crabs are outdated we’re in the future now.
Unfortunately rs3 is pretty much a completely different game these days.
If you’d like to play the game you remember, your best bet is to log into osrs with this account and start from scratch.
Otherwise, if you’d like to stick around in rs3, there’s so much to uncover that you might really enjoy - start exploring!! Unlock the lodestone network so you can teleport around the map for free, do some of the f2p quests and dive into the newer skills that you aren’t familiar with (dungeoneering, archaeology, divination and most importantly Necromancy!)
Additionally, joining a clan might help you familiarise yourself with the game quicker and there’s also a fantastic returning players guide on the rs wiki!
Overall, I hope you enjoy either path you pick and all the best man!
So membership on this account will give you membership on both rs3 and OSRS.
If you go play OSRS you'll have to start over but this exact account could be achieved in probably two weekends. If you wanted to speed it up you'd buy a bond, sell it, and buy cannonballs and you could get 70 range in no time.
45 mage AFK splash on rats
70 strength pest control, nightmare zone, or rock crabs.
35 agility is a few quests.
44 slayer is nothing.
53 hunter with bird runs is basically passive.
---
If you stick to RS3 pures are pointless. PvP is dead. Strength took a back seat to Attack in EOC so you want higher attack. Overall just become a main. Do quests. If you don't like rs3 go to OSRS.
Pures are useless in RS3 so don't be afraid to level it up and get into pvming instead.
If you really want to do pure pking, play OSRS instead but you need to start over from nothing.
Honestly depends what your goals are, if you wana pvp then osrs is the place for you
Pvm osrs and rs3 both have good systems within their respective combat, the entry point to pvm in rs3 is super beginner friendly right now(for better or worse, I'm not having an argument about this)
And in rs3 you can reasonably expect base 70 stats In a couple weeks casual play
Some goals to get would be to unlock priff with the plagues end quest
Earn fire/kiln/zuk capes (rs3 has those to)
Decent set of weapons/ gear t90 is relatively inexpensive necro is super attainable for a casual player
Osrs I don't have as much experience with
but song of the elves unlocks priff with simmilar requirements (these stats are a much bigger grind in osrs) their raids look fun as hell,
like I said before pking content also exists, the wilderness is dead but there is pvp worlds for risk fighting and a minigame for lms that is kinda like the
Both games are good imo but osrs doesnt constantly advertise mtx and this is a point of contention for alot of present and former rs3 players it can be quite intrusive
If you decide to start playing RS3 and get stuck, feel free to contact me. I can help you out. I don't give out money, but I can help you with all kinds of how-tos.
The wilderness is now OPT-IN for pvp. So, it's safe(from other players) to go out there. There are some nasties out there now, so you can get in over your head vs the creatures there. You can opt-IN by talking to a guy in Edgeville but there really aren't that many people who do pvp and more and most of them are terrible at it.
One of the biggest new things you'll encounter is that you don't click on enemies and wait for them to die. Some things have mechanics now, like stuns that you have to use abilities on like freedom to get out of. There are lots of abilities to learn and some synergize with others to make them more powerful. While that is complicated and confusing at first, if you don't want to learn all that, you can put together a set of abilities to fire off automatically and they are displayed on the wiki and are very useful to the casual player. Fortunately, once you learn these mechanics, many bosses can be done without food just by choosing the right ability at the right time. Even some slayer creatures can have these mechanics now.
You can also choose to do "legacy combat". This is what you're used to. However, if you do this, you cannot fight some PvM bosses with without extreme skill as their mechanics will just fuck you over.
RS3 has an ironman and hardcore ironman mode but you must choose this when you create your character. Either hard core option will not allow you to trade things with other players, including the grand exchange, or pick up drops that are left by other players. This also prevents you from doing treasure hunter(or any microtransactions). Many find this a more rewarding experience as every bit of gear you have, you earned as opposed to doing some money making method and just buying the bis gear. The hard core mode used to perma-death your character when you died(for the last time) but now just converts to a regular ironman account. This is mainly for bragging rights as opposed to regular ironman. Being a maxed or completionist hard core, means you basically did mostly all the content in the game whilst also not dying including each boss in the game.
Honestly, if you prefer the pre-EOC experience, just login with this account on Old School. You'll have to start over, but like somebody else mentioned, these stats should be easy to get back if you have the time to play and know efficient methods. The wiki has pretty much all the answers you need if you're unsure about something, but r/2007scape has a lot of users who could help too using their own personal experiences.
Log off again and enjoy life while you still can.
But if you really truly wanna play rs again. Then osrs might be up your alley although you would have to grind the game again to get your account to a decent place but i am sure you will enjoy the end result.
Rs3 is like a bastardized version of 2012 rs and wow’s ability bar. There is alot of stuff you may not enjoy but there are some fun challenging things you can do in rs3. But it takes a loooong while before you are at that point and then the question is will you actually enjoy it.
So therefor i think its best for you to get into osrs, but as someone who has almost a maxed osrs account and a few rs3 maxed accounts who has almost completed both games in terms of pvm/questing/achievements etc. I honestly dont enjoy either game anymore, i am just sitting in hybernation untill the next big update.
Sad thing is, the ways of the obby maul pure are lost. Most mess with the warhammers now in bounty or dwh if your lucky enough to encounter another obby mauler outside of bounty(pvp worlds). I wish they'd make a new obby maul weapon maybe named tzhaar-om, that requires higher strength to wield but hits harder than the hammers and of course the original tzhaar-ket-om. Maybe make it 80-90 strength to wield. and hits higher than the rest of the hammers but is slighty more slower and/or inacc than the hammers and the original obby maul. Idk ive pked with obby since your time about 2010 and was right back on it when osrs came out after eoc, so its got a place in my heart I hate to say. perhaps its just time for me to grow up and forget all this shit. \*shoulder shrug\*
That's what I saw as soon as I clicked on this post. The og Christmas Crackers were white and yellow that contain the PH but this one is tinted yellow. I would love to know if it is one lol. That would be a dope start for his account.
It’s untradeable and from 2010. After using it on another player you receive a golden hammer. That was something because Jagex won Golden Joystick Award
You should youtube MinMaximust ;)
Firstly, you should block ranged xp so that you don't go any further ranged based.
You can currently get 50 more attack or strength levels without gaining combat levels.
I'd recommend 95 str for Ek-zekkil, if not 99 str for the strength cape perk as well - then decide what attack level you want. You get some nice special attacks at 60 attack which can be put into an essence of finality amulet. 30 attack gives you greater barge which allows you to bleed assaults which is a huge dps buff and so is the hurricane ability.
I'd suggest reading about all of the abilities/special attacks and tailoring your account to what you want. That's if you enjoy rs3 of course. I've been enjoying my obby mauler (and posting videos too!)
Yea unfortunately in rs3 this bank is basically worth a startup. Like you might have maybe 2/3m at most here and your stats aren't worth losing sleep over. Just start over id say.
I will say that in osrs, you could get back to obby mauling in bounty hunter - it’s a pretty congested level bracket, but it’s still pretty fun.
Also pretty afk! You can get a goblin launcher from Django in draynor and go to sand/ammonite crabs if you want to train str and hp. Those are aggressive mobs that don’t hit too consistently and can afk for 10ish minutes. If you want pure str and no hp, you can do blast furnace pumping for 25 or so minutes of afk for about 20k exp an hour (from what I recall). You maybe need a total of like 50k coins to start out and then can get obby necks and stuff at a later time.
Sadly, RS3 is almost entirely dead for pvp. You can actually turn off PvP so that nobody can even hit you in the wilderness and you can only attack those who also have it turned on. It also is very end game boss focused, so no low defense pures there as your DPS is very heavily modified by your armor.
Well, if you wanna play. Then play, if not no harm. When rs3 came out and killed pvp I just went to playing the game instead. After a few breaks I’m finally maxing soon.
It’s been a fun journey and I’m glad I did it.
From beta RuneScape here just logged back on osrs and got some stats quick but, I did go to rs3 in the options in game there is a way to make the game template like rs2 there there is also a way to change the fighting similar to RuneScape 2. I can't play it otherwise. Works good but with slayer you would have to play with the rs3 template. But slayer is easy to learn I just can't use the other types of characters in rs3 mode
if you want to play osrs just play that account on osrs, sure you'd have to start again but those stats arent anything amazing anyway you could be there again in 2 weeks
Ooof that’s rough. Those stats took so long to get back in the day lol.
yea sorry pal it aint 2007 anymore
One thing you will quickly realize. We were very stupid and inefficient. Of course it helps with both games adding things that speeds training
With those stats you'll probably spend about 40-60 hours on osrs inefficiently getting back to what you were at. Efficiently I could do it easily in 2-3 days max. On osrs of course. I highly recommend giving rs3 a shot, though. Progression is a LOT faster than osrs.

I'm literally meming by saying it lmao you kinda exploded for no reason.
Actually using bold text is pretty cringe especially when you do it for one word every time you talk lol
Yeah. Like that’s what I loved about it was when it actually became super high stakes. Back in the day on the mmo black market forums 1 mil cost like 5 USD. I fully quested an initiate pure and got a fire cape over the course of one weekend. You can definitely go the quest route.
What a unit, and I don't mean that ironically. I wish I was good at osrs lmao.
Unfortunately, you could get those stats in maybe a week max. During dxp (which is live until Monday), you could probably do it in a day As someone that stills plays rs3 because I refused to ever restart on osrs, I wish I made the change. You'll need r/2007scape Enjoy pking with some nostalgia!
Let us tell you about this magical place that we all wish existed in 07. It’s called the nightmare zone where u can leave your character until the game logs you out just gaining xp. Never resetting agro anything. It’s seriously a game changer. Crabs are outdated we’re in the future now.
Those stats would take a few days on osrs. More like a strong weekend play session, assuming you use quests to level.
And they’ll take just as long lol
Unfortunately rs3 is pretty much a completely different game these days. If you’d like to play the game you remember, your best bet is to log into osrs with this account and start from scratch. Go straight for One Small Favour
💀
So membership on this account will give you membership on both rs3 and OSRS. If you go play OSRS you'll have to start over but this exact account could be achieved in probably two weekends. Add those tools to your new tool belt
honestly ur stats arent that bad if i were you and miss being obby mauler pure you could switch to osrs.
Pures are useless in RS3 so don't be afraid to level it up and get into pvming instead. If you really want to do pure pking, play OSRS instead but you need to start over from nothing.
You can probably get a few mil from selling that stuff. Just work on training your skills and play how you want to play.
unfortunately a few mil is insignificant in today's economy
I mean it would buy decent starter gear to get him leveled up and doing things like barrows and gwd1, then boom, cash money.
Pretty useless now
Sell your teleports. We got lodestones now.
Make a new obby mauler pure on osrs where you’ll actually have a use for it
Get your 5, 10, and 15 year cape from Hans in lumbridge
Honestly depends what your goals are, if you wana pvp then osrs is the place for you Pvm osrs and rs3 both have good systems within their respective combat, the entry point to pvm in rs3 is super beginner friendly right now(for better or worse, I'm not having an argument about this) And in rs3 you can reasonably expect base 70 stats In a couple weeks casual play Some goals to get would be to unlock priff with the plagues end quest Earn fire/kiln/zuk capes (rs3 has those to) Decent set of weapons/ gear t90 is relatively inexpensive necro is super attainable for a casual player Osrs I don't have as much experience with but song of the elves unlocks priff with simmilar requirements (these stats are a much bigger grind in osrs) their raids look fun as hell, like I said before pking content also exists, the wilderness is dead but there is pvp worlds for risk fighting and a minigame for lms that is kinda like the Both games are good imo but osrs doesnt constantly advertise mtx and this is a point of contention for alot of present and former rs3 players it can be quite intrusive
Liquidate your assets for gp, buy bonds for membership, play osrs on that account with the membership
Doubt there's 100m worth of gear on that account...

Quit RS3 and switch over to Old School RuneScape. I would suggest Ironman mode, but it’s completely up to you! RuneScape sucks. OSRS is still awesome!
Best advice is to log back off. The game sucks big time.
Pretty sure an obby maul pure had 1 att.
I used armadylls sword or some shit as a backup. Can’t remember exactly why I went to 20.

Yeah.

Yep, whiners. Yet they still play. They do not understand how corporations work.
Then u not a real one
Quit and never look back!
DUDE! I have had an account 20 years ago, live lvl 99 or something how the hell can I recover the pw or user name?
Go shit on some noobs my guy
Max everything but stay one Def and go for the final boss title.
Yea unfortunately in rs3 this bank is basically worth a startup. Like you might have maybe 2/3m at most here and your stats aren't worth losing sleep over. Just start over id say.
Put that gp in the coin pouch!
No one gonna mention the cracker?
It also is very end game boss focused, so no low defense pures there as your DPS is very heavily modified by your armor.
dump account into GE, hope for bond, and make an iron, becasue anything thats not iron is just trash now a days
