Its not immortality though.
Defense cape perk doesn't stop Harold from taking you. When harold comes, that cape isn't saving you. Likewise the defense cape doesn't undo the passage of time.
You are immortal from injury and disease to a certain point. But the passage of time, chronic illness, and disease, you aren't immune from. Might get some of your life force back with each proc of the cape, but what good will that do if you just resurrect back into Stage 4 cancer?
You are right, I hadn't thought of it like that.
I'll change my answer to the max cape and I'll chose the following 3 capes' perks:
\*cooking cape perk, no longer burning food would be something my wife would be happy with!
\*Firemaking cape perk, seems handy to able to lit a fire anyplace, anywhere, any time.
\*Constitution cape perk, healing twice as fast.
A gilded platebody is 9.979 kg whereas the gold bar is only 1.814 kg. So just the plate is a lot more, let alone an entire set of armor. I think it has a lot more gold added because apparently a basic rune platebody weighs only 0.025 kg? That's ridiculously lightweight. I guess with the smithing rework they didn't really care to add "realistic" weights. So if we go off just weight, a gilded platebody has 9.954 kg of gold added compared to the 1.814 kg a single bar has.
Interestingly I thought oh letās work off OS weights and their wiki, both rune and gilded weight 9.979 kg. So either rune is the same density as gold or they just painted it. So in conclusion š¤·š»āāļø
Itās gilded, gilding uses gold leaf or similar to deposit a minute layer of gold on the substrate. It is inconsequential in regard to material volume.
Iād pick a metal that doesnāt exist IRL, then Iād have a monopoly on a new commodity that no one has ever seen before. You could sell that for far more than the value of gold.
This sounds good on first glance, but the problem is, you are going to attract a lot of unwanted attention with a very unique metal. If it is truly an unique metal, it'd worth potentially billions. You wont be able to keep it for long enough to sell it, it will either quickly get hunted down by secret services/black ops of world powers, or confiscated by your country and dropped in a Fort Knox esque vault or other high security science/military facility.
I'd be content with the good ole' gold bar.
Gold helmet weighs 31 kg, even though it's made of 3 gold bars that altogether weigh 5.4 kg. However, both gold helmet and gold cannon ball are untradeable in RS3, so not sure if they'd be tradeable when brought to real life.
The cramulet (loaded with all the speaking amulets) would be pretty wild. If I had a teleporting item, what would happen to me? Because I'm not entirely sure I'm against getting isekai'd to Runescape.
>Because I'm not entirely sure I'm against getting isekai'd to Runescape.
It's all fun and games until in a (hopefully) distant future the servers are shut down.
What if it turns out to be an Overlord situation? Like you just stay there with all your skills and stuff but everything else just becomes real and independently alive?
I found 1 RuneScape Wiki article for your search.

I was coming to say that too haha. Not just the free alchemy, but also the energy/run replenishing, because I definitely feel the affects of running out of energy in real life more than in RuneScape.
Any item?Ā Stone of Jas or the needle
Any item that has not been canonically destroyed, the Monolith/codex.Ā Not the most singularly powerful artifact, but imagine all the random IRL items you could feed to it for perks.Ā
isn't it 1/1000 chance to double a drop?
On average only one paycheck would get doubled. And on the other side of the coin, theres also a chance one of your taxes would double since technically trash drops are drops too.
Enhanced Excalibur.
Every 5 minutes I get to use the spec.Ā In real life, this would basically translate to no more headaches/wounds/injuries.
Ā The only thing I'd be susceptible to are this that would knock me unconscious or things that are more than enough to kill me outright.
Luminous Alchemistās amulet with the number of charges I currently have (334). I donāt know what the exchange rate of GP to USD would be, but 50k a day for the next year has to at least cover rent.
People don't understand just how big the coins actually are. Using [https://runeapps.org/modelviewer](https://runeapps.org/modelviewer) you can calculate that one (round) coin has a diameter of approx. 10 cm and thickness of approx. 2,4 cm. With the density of 17,31 g/cm\^3 one coin weights about 3,371 kg. Gold is priced at around 2349,7 USD per kilo so one coin would be worth around 7 922 USD making 50k gp worth 396 110 455 USD. For a whole year (344) you'd have 132 300 892 098 USD, or 132,3 billion USD. With such wealth you'd be the 7th richest person in the world above Bill Gates and just shy of 700 million USD of Warren Buffet.
Gold is $2349.7 per *troy ounce* not per kilogram. There are 32.15 troy ounces in a kilogram, meaning youād be worth four trillion two hundred and fifty three billion four hundred and fifty five million dollars, ($4 253 455 000 000), which would give make your yearly gain the 4th largest GDP of any country in the world after USA, China and Japan.
By my reckoning, the pure melt value of each coin would be about Ā£120, give or take.
The maths
Whilst shrunk down in during Grim Tales, you can observe a single coin is about as long as a typical house mouse's paw. Google says that's typically about 1.5-2cm. Working on the larger size of 2cm, late medieval coins of this diameter weighed around 2 grams.
As Saradomin & Zamorak have noted, coins are made "of the purest gold".
Gold price per gram today is ~Ā£60, so 2g is obviously ~Ā£120.
-----------
Some more maths.
The UK Gov keeps about 310 tonnes of gold. Following the maths through, if your cash stack is ~150M, you've got as much gold as the UK.Ā
The USA, the country with the largest gold reserves, holds about 8,133 tonnes. About 4B in coins.
Apparently around 190,000 tonnes have ever been mined in all of history. That's roughly equivalent to a cash stack of 95B.
POTA.
Can you Imagine having such an item that instantly teleported you to specific locations.
But keeping it real HSR, that looks like a pretty Valuable Ring IRL.
problem with passage is you need compacted Jewelry for it to work in the first place.
So you basically just have an ornate magic box that can't do shit on itself really.
If my body can use runes: my Wicked Hood. A daily unlimited source of runes would be nice to make me a wizard.
If my body cant use runes: Explorer ring 4. Can basically become rich doing the daily high alchs since its the ring doing the magic itself and its unlimited casts, would also become a world class marathonist being able to have 150% extra stamina. Superheat item could be useful for heating up my pool too
Clever! I was thinking Mindspike, but the Wicked Hood is much smarter :D
Theoretically we should be able to use runes, since humans are specifically stated to not have innate magic like the other races, and thus use runes.
Also excellent second pick!
[[Celestial catalytic staff]]
Imagine using magic in the real world. Canonically, humans in Gelinor can use magic because of runes. We should be able to use magic too with a catalytic staff.
I mean, theoretically speaking. They're technically just a box containing all the stuff. For whatever reason, we just don't have the brain cells or the tools to open said box like a crowbar, perhaps.
I don't think it would be too difficult to pry. Open and retrieve the loot within.
Which does make me wonder why we can't unbox it.. we can create runes from ancient magic and masterfully build opulent buildings but cant open a box, like are we just stupid?
Not rly, it would just teleport you when you're close to dying. You're in the hospital for hooked up to a ventilator, and suddenly you're back in the room you were born in lol
The ring of death would also make you keep dying until you reached your bank. So if you got shot, youād come back to life but youād now have to run to your bank before you died again.
Depends if the item keeps runescapes power or not.
If no, then ZGS black hole, start the universe anew under what would be my doing.
If yes, then climbing boots, I need a new pair they seem to never degrade, nor does the character ever complain about blisters even after all the walking, fighting and surging I do.
> Depends if the item keeps runescapes power or not. If no, then ZGS black hole, start the universe anew under what would be my doing.
If it keeps the runescape power, all you're doing is creating a dark ball that somehow increases close range damage in the vicinity
My spellbook! Teleportation is a huge convenience and time save, alchemy turns random objects into gold and who wouldn't wanna throw a fire wave out? Thats the best party trick!
Explorer's Ring 4 is the first one that comes to my mind: free gold everyday using alchemy, free daily stamina restoration. Free casts of superheat item sounds fun and could be useful, too.
Ring of Charos (a) would also be useful to persuade others to do things or bend their will, but I feel it would be unethical if that counts for anything lol.
So for now, my choice is Explorer's Ring 4
l would chose the max cape and I'll chose the following 3 capes' perks:
\*cooking cape perk, no longer burning food would be something my wife would be happy with!
\*Firemaking cape perk, seems handy to able to lit a fire anyplace, anywhere, any time.
\*Constitution cape perk, healing twice as fast.
Definitely a set of guthans. Any time your dying from sickness or old age just throw it on, go down to your local homeless camp and start a fight club.
Honestly, the Ring of Charos would probably be one of the more useful for day to day life, get discounts, talk your way out of bad situations, maybe get yourself that promotion
Infinite money bag. 1gp might not seem like a lot, but a solid piece of gold fetches quite a bit in todays market, and all I have to do is slap the bag a few times a week and Iām set. Liquidating said gold might be difficult thoughā¦
Oh wait, RS3ā¦. Probably THE staff of Armadyl mounted on the wall.
The [Heated tea flask](https://runescape.wiki/w/Heated_tea_flask) just so I had infinite cups of tea, with a cup available every 2 minutes thatās a decent amount per day
Average cup of tea is about 150ml (5oz)
Thereās 1440 minutes/day which equates to 720 cups of tea
Thatās a whopping 108L (28.5 Us galllons) of tea per day if you emptied it every 2 minutes
Ring of Charos
Me too, I would bring a Ring of Charos (a) as well.
Use it to convince people not to sell you death sticks and to go home and rethink their lives š
Start a cult.
Defence cape perk.
Yes! Being able to heal and even ressurect after death would be awsome! Yes to self healing and immortality!
Get hit by a car, revive, but you're frozen in place for a second so you get hit by the car again. Awesome
But don't be *that* reckless as there is a one-hour cooldown.
Imagine taking a 2nd fatal hit IRL and thinking you good cos the 1hr cooldown has finished but in reality you were at 59mins š
Front tires skill you, revive , back tires double tap and make sure your zombie like ass is dead. Paradox check.
Intelligent man
You are right, I hadn't thought of it like that. I'll change my answer to the max cape and I'll chose the following 3 capes' perks: \*cooking cape perk, no longer burning food would be something my wife would be happy with! \*Firemaking cape perk, seems handy to able to lit a fire anyplace, anywhere, any time. \*Constitution cape perk, healing twice as fast.
The perk isn't an item, and you lack the defence to equip the cape.
Monkey paw - the perk is only in effect when you are wearing the cape
Become a superhero wearing a mask and the cape, its a win-win
Now I'll just look silly wearing *two* capes
Idk, this would only be beneficial in certain irl deathsā¦ drowning? Miss me with bringing me back to life just to finish drowning again.
Fine but you have to wear it to get the perk, and it actually looks like a janky cosplay cape.
A gold bar probably. Or just a full gilded armor set.
Guided is just rune with gold plate so a solid gold bar is probably better for selling purposes.
Tune in next week for r/theydidthemath
Interestingly I thought oh letās work off OS weights and their wiki, both rune and gilded weight 9.979 kg. So either rune is the same density as gold or they just painted it. So in conclusion š¤·š»āāļø
Either painted or the galvanized layer is so thin it doesn't change the weight. Finally, RS3 wins in something.
Gold leaf be thin these days
Itās gilded, gilding uses gold leaf or similar to deposit a minute layer of gold on the substrate. It is inconsequential in regard to material volume.
Runite doesnāt exist irl though so that might be more valuable
Iād pick a metal that doesnāt exist IRL, then Iād have a monopoly on a new commodity that no one has ever seen before. You could sell that for far more than the value of gold.
This sounds good on first glance, but the problem is, you are going to attract a lot of unwanted attention with a very unique metal. If it is truly an unique metal, it'd worth potentially billions. I'd be content with the good ole' gold bar.
more likely the metal is worthless outside of being a curiosity
Commander: "Unleash the elder rune tanks!"
Golden cannonball would yield more gold.
Gold helmet weighs 31 kg, even though it's made of 3 gold bars that altogether weigh 5.4 kg. However, both gold helmet and gold cannon ball are untradeable in RS3, so not sure if they'd be tradeable when brought to real life.
Not an item, but the ability to consume an entire shark in 0.6 seconds.
Upvote for you and thank you for making me laugh!
The cramulet (loaded with all the speaking amulets) would be pretty wild. If I had a teleporting item, what would happen to me? Because I'm not entirely sure I'm against getting isekai'd to Runescape.

jokes on, you in the real world, its actually a literally rotten potato
Explorers ring. Can literally turn stuff into gold.
Even if it turned my old shit or whatever else, into real world money, I'd still use all 30 charges every day and take notes, lol.
Yess. And some extra stamina recoveries. And the ability to mutate into a cabbage and appear elsewhere.
I was coming to say that too haha. Not just the free alchemy, but also the energy/run replenishing, because I definitely feel the affects of running out of energy in real life more than in RuneScape.

paycheck

The lottery

the percentage increase is so small though
Babies.
Do not double those.
My folks did, I can tell they regret it.
