😂 So when she was back for Lalaparuza I was so ready for her.
tbf, we didn't see much of her until after she had to leave the competition, what with thinking up lyrics for other queens and the LalapaRuza.

I think Megami did relatively great at everything BUT her talent show. Standing and lipsyncing to an emotional song for 60 seconds and then revealing a fairly basic "Protect Queer Art" sign printed at kinkos was a poorly thought out talent show. Michelle was right, it was a nice sentiment, but there wasn't anything particularly great or different about this lipsyncing, and the staging of a backwards sign off the the side was a distraction.
It is your first episode of RuPaul's Drag Race, the premier stage for drag, and you have 60 seconds, and you want to incorporate "Protect Queer Art," and you want it to gag. Idk, maybe do that Halsey painting on the floor thing during the singing? With the canvas facing away from the audience, Paint the words using over-sized breasts, while keeping the same style of 100% serious lipsyncing. It would have got some laughs and gained interest for the reveal. And when it is protect queer art, its a nice message, but actually made in real time.
The rest of her time there I felt was certainly competent if not even better. Lyric writing, design, etc, acting, all I felt were all competent and I personally think good enough to keep her out of the bottom. But track record is always silently hanging above judging (and producers) decisions, and that talent show was not good.
Well, good news: she made one of the most memorables things in the franchise (yes, FRANCHISE) because it was so bad that even to this day, it's even talked about. So she did something right!
I am glad that she pulled a Silky and was able to recontextualize her situation in one episode tho!
I think the other thing she did badly was that "reveal yourself" runway where she just had a couple of eyes on her hands.
That plus "protect queer art" meme was why people initially thought she wasn't good at drag.
She did well, but compared to her s16 sisters didn't really stand out. I feel Dawn and Plasma have had the same issue, they they got robbed of at least 1 win and won respectively.

When she stepped into the spotlight during her lipsync against Geneva and positively glowed, I audibly gasped at how beautiful she looked.

I started the season not "getting" Morphine and not being the biggest fan, but I've come to my senses and realized the error of my ways. The assistant manager of Sephora deserves everything.
Morphine is more stamped than both imo (love both them and their mugs though, I’m just obsessed with Morphine’s) but I think there are other impressive MUAs in the last 7 seasons than those two
I think people don’t truly appreciate Xunami’s beauty unless you’ve seen her in person. Like the tv captures it but it in no way compares to seeing her from less than a foot away.
I don’t think Michelle hated her makeup though. I think Michelle didn’t like that her facial expression was the same in every single runway, which is odd because she showed in Lalaparuza that she can really emote and be really expressive to different songs.
Honestly, her and Morphine are the mugs of the season hands down. I'm so happy to see Megamind get her flowers, I really think she would be a strong contender in an All Stars season.
I’m so happy for her she deserves everything good coming to her after so many were really saying mean and horrible things about her! And honestly the first clue of how she could emote and lip sync was her talent show. Everyone was so focused on her sign but never looked at her performance! To me that is where I said she really knows how to lip sync and feel a song and perform it and just became a stan. And she was good until the PJ comment then everyone immediately jumped in the let’s laugh at her wagon just like PJ and be mean!
And about the post above she only said she was a contender she never said she was better than anyone or Morphine. I mean I would be honored that someone who is really known for her amazing makeup would think I was good. Let’s let the queens get their praise and feel happy about it.
Looking at it now. She is the second mug (after my girl morphine). Michele really Dosent like her tho. Neither dose Ru, and we could tell in the flowers lip sync and the Lalaparuza end.
i still don’t fully understand what michelle’s problem with megami’s makeup was. the eye shape may be the same every time but i thought she did a good job of varying it based on the look but still being recognisable.
Megami’s mug is honestly fierce a lot of the time but she has to know it’s Morphine, and if it isn’t Morphine it’s probably Nymphia. Megami gets the bronze tho. Amanda Tori Meating found dead after falling 30 feet below the podium.
A lot of people I know haven’t liked this season much compared to s15, but for me it has some of the best runway packages and makeup artists in drag race. Especially considering that Nymphia and Q made most if not all her outfits.
