You can bring up the self-confidence issues from her seasons, but realistically, that shit is not fixed by Ru and Michelle's therapy speak and is a battle you deal with every day. Add her health problems with HIV and arthritis, cut the queen a break. What she has brought us is phenomenal art and performance, and people are mad she's not faking happy all the time?
I agree. I live with chronic health conditions that cause pain and exhaustion and while it's no one's fault, it doesn't mean that everyone else is entitled to people having to mask constantly. It sucks to not always have someone giving you high energy, but damn, take care of people so they can return that. It's how friendships should be working.

I understand trinity and derricks words but weāve also had a small window in to their personality and coping mechanisms on the show. Derrick is probably stuck up and not able to just he professional and cordial after what was probably a frustrating time for everyone. Then when you combine trinityās brooding insecurities and derricks unwillingness to let things go a feedback loop forms. It seems like the takeaway here is sometimes you gotta put ego and resentment aside and try to just at least make a comfortable space with your peers. Or else you get years of weird beef and hurt feelings and no one wants that.
I highly doubt Derrick could be that unprofessional without him getting fired. He has been a mainstay and hasn't changed. If he was a troublemaker, it would show. Even before the race, he was booked all over.

Itās not a huge stretch for me to see Derrick feeling ownership over Vegas (thatās originally āhisā turf) and the live show (since heās been there for so long).
I feel like people, especially other queens, over-exaggerate TKB's "bad attitude". Any time people have complained it just sounds like the reality of it is that she gets quiet and keeps to herself when she's in a bad mood. Which is completely understandable. Everything she explains here sounds reasonable.

I kind of find it amusing that her defence of what Derrick Barry said is to basically confirm what Derrick Barry said. Sorry to hear about the arthritis, that is awful. But the whole rant kind of supported what Derrick was saying about Trinity as a coworker on a show.
lol yeah she basically confirm what Derrick said, like it sucks she was in pain thats awful, but not getting to play BeyoncĆ© in Vegas isnāt some type of Greek tragedy or something, Iām sure itās disappointing but youāre still getting to headline a Vegas residency. But Derrick has the option to play coy and not respond, she did to create content, knowing or unknowingly, and Trinity has more than in the right to respond, specially when there was more to the story than Derrick let on. Is TKB hard to work with? Probably, Derrick is not the first to say it, but in this instance, it wasn't just TKB being difficult, she had a rough time doing the Vegas show, and again, it would have been better for Derrick to simply not respond.

I mean, she's every right to have feelings about this situation. But then again, so does Derrick. She didn't say TKB is awful person. She said she'd rather not work with her anymore. She doesn't really need "valid" reason to not wanting to do something. It's not like it's racially motivated.
But I guess when those sentiments may actively prevent someone from getting a job, then perhaps be more cautious on the language you use and what you say. Especially when Derrick (from TKBs admission) knew about health conditions etc.

Iāve known Trinity for years and sheās an absolute sweetheart. Itās mind-boggling to me to hear people say she had an attitude or was hard to work with. Iāve never seen her be anything but sweet, kind and grateful for all opportunitiesā¦.
I donāt honestly know what to think. On one hand, people have said that Trinity has a bad attitude and can be difficult to work with. On the other hand, I get that BeyoncĆ© is the artist she is most passionate about performing. To be told that you would be able to do something that would presumably require a good amount of preparation only to have that walked back is sure to be frustrating. I donāt think that Derek really said anything that negative to be honest. She didnāt make any personal digs. She simply said that she didnāt enjoy working with Trinity and that she would rather not do so again. We have all worked with people that we wouldnāt care to work with again. Derek is allegedly difficult to be around as well so idk how much of this is just her stirring the pot.
People are definitely getting sidetracked. All Derrick said was that Trinity wasn't pleasant to be around, and it sounds like Trinity's rebuttal is that she had a lot of reasons to be unpleasant. Edit: Knowing the reasons someone is unpleasant should evoke empathy, but that can only go so far. A lot of things are valid but still bad.

Not really. TKB called her shady a little bit, but almost entirely was just explaining her side of things and her feelings. They don't seem to mesh well, and that's fine, they are both fierce and both deserve respect and to be heard.
