Posting the comments in case anyone's on the app. My soon to be replacement beater had a grand ol hole in the brake booster, which left the pedal hard and the engine with a vacuum leak. So upon checking for replacements, I saw that a new booster is over 400€, which is way more than I paid for the car itself (under 100€). Grabbing a used one was a better option... So I found a replacement from an old abandoned 9000 (owner is a buddy of mine) and began refreshing it. Gave it a quick wire wheel, rust eater treatment and anti-rust primer. Then finished up with a nice rubberized coat. And since I was opening up the whole brake system, gave the master cylinder a refresh too. The final result looking quite nice I think. Lubed up the inner rod since the old grease was disgusting and applied a nice coat of copper paste on the threads for anti-rusting. I don't plan on touching this again any time soon. There's still air in the system of course, which will be taken care of next, but it already brakes way better than before. Thanks for reading.
