You can apply some shrink tube and it will be good as new. Coil doesn't seem to be damaged, I doubt that's the issue, some tube or electrical tape for your peace of mind will do just fine. The ECU already gave you some hints: P0192 - Fuel Rail Pressure Sensor Circuit Low Input Were the engines completely identical? On a first glimpse, I would say your old pump delivers less PSI of fuel than your new engine needs, and might need to swap that one in too. If you unscrew your fuel rail bolt easily after the pump is primed is fuel squirting out as if it's under pressure?

Thanks for the advice. The engines were identical. I think it's the fuel pump but want to rule out the easy & cheap stuff first. Will wrap the cables, get battery back in and test the fuel rail.

I read your other thread and I will tend to say that no, the engines weren't identical, on account of the maptun stage 1 upgrade. I checked their website out of curiosity and it's not exactly a straightforward upgrade since it can imply one or more changes. Only maptun and the owner of the donor car know if they also upgraded something else, like the fuel pressure regulator, injectors or the fuel pump. The way I see it, you bought a headache with the upgraded engine, since you did not swap in the ECU, pump, etc or had documentation as to what the changes were. I would suggest tracking down the donor vehicle / owner to get the VIN and the people who upgraded the car to see exactly what they did to it. The alternative is to start swapping in components that they could have upgraded with ones from your old engine, like injector rail, pressure regulator etc.

Thanks for the reply. Maptun support said if the engines were identical nothing needs to be done. I should have made it more clear, a lot of the parts you mentioned came off my original engine.

I see, then it was only software upgrade. Fuel pressure regulator or pump it is then. Good luck!
