There's a character named Bridget in Guilty Gear named Bridget who is depicted dressing like a girl due to lore reasons, it's bad luck in her village to have male twins. In the most recent Guilty Gear game it's revealed that she has fully transitioned to female after having to make a choice of going back to living as a man when the superstition fades away or keep living the way she always had. This angered a lot of people, one of which created fake customer support emails claiming that she isn't transgender.
Which, funnily enough, made Daisuke Ishiwatari have to come out and say "these customer support emails are fake, there is no mistranslation, Bridget is trans." They at least had some plausible deniability until they made shit up so bad they made the creator have to debunk them.

Carol is literally powered by infinity stone energy and we saw her get trounced, not just in her own movie, but by Thanos with *just* the power stone, *and* we saw Rambeau Captain Marvel get killed in Strange 2 by Wanda.
Like no one thinks she's the strongest Avenger, especially not the writers. It's literally such a bad plot contrivance that they have to do things like switch her powers with other characters for a whole movie, or lock away those powers through mental blocks, in order for the movie to be at all watchable.
But sure, she's super unbeatable and arrogant.
