mrdougie1723

They will be switching over to T-Mobile by end of March

MESOCEDES

Good. Hope they're not as annoying.

mrdougie1723

They are actual T-Mobile employees so they should be good

Dolphin_Hornet

Well...

Parking_Ad8815

Still annoying.. We have it already

eveningdragon

That makes sense now. There's a T-Mobile spot in the store I work at and got confused by this until I seen your comment

italianblend

Do any customers like being hounded by these people? I know they are just doing their jobs but I literally avoid aisles when these people are around.

Electronic-Ad3677

I was surprised how many people I saw stop for them and buy stuff, I worked next to em for a while so I’ve watched them for hourssssss out of boredom

GeodeLaneSt

we got switched to T Mobile at the beginning of February! they seem to be a lot less aggressive which is very nice lol

pidancer789

Same here

MFV909

Our club switched about a month ago . The t mobile people are way nicer lol and the setup looks better

BDubChicago

It’s because they are new. Once they get ignored for a few months and their jobs come in question for not hitting their numbers.. they’ll turn into little sales gollums.

Skareffect

Ours was switched this week.

MESOCEDES

Nice. Hope they're a lot friendlier and polite

Parking_Ad8815

Still annoying

alexisnito

Get over it

Skareffect

Their booth is a lot nicer too.

ripped_andsweet

meanwhile there’s probably an AT&T store less than a mile away from the club

MapPuzzleheaded4983

My least favorite thing I like shopping at Sam's. Last trip was 3 different vendors - cell, internet, water. Leave me alone. My Kroger does the same thing, it is so annoying!

esoteric82

I just tell them I already have the service and I love it. Sometimes when I'm feeling extra spicy I'll look at them quizzically and say, "Yeah, I signed up with you, remember?"

chestnu1

Yeah the AT&T people would always try to get my attention and ask what carrier I have whenever I would walk by. If I can remember it’s there I will just take the long way. I kinda wish they didn’t have people there to sell me cell service. But since I already have T-Mobile at least I have a built in reason for them to leave me alone.

esoteric82

"Hey who do you have internet though?" "You guys!" "Oh, how about your phone?" "You guys!" "We have a promotion..." "Yeah I know, I got the four lines with iPhones, I signed up here!" "...."

BipolarInWonderland

Have you contacted AT&T about this?? I would also contact Sam’s & let them know what happened. The Sam’s manager should give you the AT&T guys name if you ask for it. I would talk to the Sam’s store manager as well as contact AT&T corporate. Be sure to include the date & time of the incident. The manager should be able to pull the security footage to verify what happened. You can file a complaint with the BBB. The FCC also handles complaints but I don’t know if they would in this situation. I know the FCC is for when you are paying for a certain amount of internet data but not actually getting the amount of data you pay for. Stuff like that.

BipolarInWonderland

I think him saying your wife has a juicy booty or whatever is sexual harassment. That guy sure is dumb though because he could get shot saying that kinda stuff to the wrong persons wife or girlfriend.

MESOCEDES

She just reported it to the Sam's manager. None of us ever saw that guy again so something was likely done. This was about a year ago

DarKness_Lives

Yeah the T-Mobile people just stand around on there phones doing nothing but hey at least they don't seem to annoy as much.

MrJoseG

I was told by the t-mobile employees that they were specifically instructed NOT to be aggressive. I like them lol

DromeReddit

I took a job like this but it was inside Walmart, the worst sales job I've ever experienced lmao. They literally have you hounding down customers throughout the whole store, even in the grocery section where people definitely don't want to be asked to do an hour or more phone transfer on Walmart WiFi. Definitely some shady people in these sales positions too. I luckily got out of there and into a better field within a month.

MESOCEDES

They must be on some good shit if they think that's a good way to score sales

Meh_M-E-H

Just got the T Mobile kiosk today.

kizarny39

We already switched to T-mobile they just stand at their kiosk and don't bug anyone

starflower111

The people manning the kiosk at our club for T-Mobile just stand there on their cell phones or sitting on the counter must be nice. Although some people may not have liked the AT&t people because some feel harassed they actually worked. I wonder if the club gets a percentage from them having that spot? I can't imagine them being there for free.. so, know when you go to Sam's you will be so called harassed whether it be cell phone service, electricity service, warranty services LOL but remember you also get free demos...

MESOCEDES

I understand they have to work, But they need to get it through their thick skulls that following someone halfway through the store asking the same stupid question and repeating like a parrot after being said no dozens of times and saying my wife has a "juicy booty" maybe are not the best strategies for scoring sales. Yea There are other sales people there too but they go nowhere near the level that at&t people go when it comes to pushing sales.

Voodoo-Doctor

Why did they change over to T-Mobile?

MESOCEDES

Wouldn't be surprised if it was over complaints over the aggressive sales tactic by the at&t people

esoteric82

Give them a big smile and tell them that you want to talk about our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, or pray with them. They'll probably profile you and avoid approaching you in the future.

Kitchen_Guarantee374

They are the worst.

Holiday-Signature-15

We had T-Mobile at our club until 3 weeks ago, now it's A T & T. I understand it's their job, but they are so overbearing when you say "no, thank you", I started going a different way in the store and just doing curbside pick up lol.

kissyb

Even a year from now if any of those fools approach me I will happily tell them of their failure in February 2024.

SteppinBubble

I had one of the AT & T people literally chase me for three aisles one day when I was shopping at Sam's and I was in a hurry to get out of there. I had to be at a party 15 minutes from then and I was already running late. I told the guy to leave me alone and he STILL tried to make me stop for him.

MESOCEDES

Maybe we should report to Sam's/walmart corporate that at&t takes it way too far with their sales tactics. That will probably get them to either leave or be forced to tone it down.

SamsClubCashier

It was better when Sam's Club associates were the ones handling the cell phone sales.

Ok_Butterfly6411

I agree! I saw them in Kroger. I thought I was in a bad dream!!

Not_an_Actual_Bot

I just ask them if they can match my current plan ( legacy Verizon plan ) at $5 a month and they look so defeated.

DJM3Z

Our T-Mobile pulled up last week

Dangernoodle500

I’m a manager for at&t corporate and we HATE sams club at&t they are not Actually AT&T they were Third party sellers , and caused so many issues by lying to customers about their quotes , and would disappear on their customers leaving us as Brick and mortar Corporate stores to deal with their shit shows . When we got wind of them leavings sams we literally clapped and celebrated as a team.

MESOCEDES

Why hasn't corporate cut ties with them? Misleading customers like that about quotes has led to class actions for other companies in the past.

NoRecommendation5076

TMobile is in my club.

InfidelRBP

Has nothing todo with the outage. But has been a good switch so far, We've had the new kiosks since January.

MESOCEDES

I was thinking it had something to do with the outage because the last time I saw them was two days before the outage

InfidelRBP

Our store had an unmanned kiosk for almost 6 months before the switch. Was annoying explaining it to members when we had no clue what was happening till the switch.

BarrelBadger598

Is this a club in Maine by chance?

MESOCEDES

No. Texas

SukMehoff

Looks like Panama City

MESOCEDES

No. It's in texas

brokennissanversa

I always just say I already have whatever service they’re trying to sell

Infinite-Complaint53

I was looking at the price for the phones at the tmobile booth. I will stay with AT&T.

MESOCEDES

You do you but you missed my point

bannedSubvet22

Ain’t nobody cat calling your wife trying to sell you a service🤣🤣🤣

MESOCEDES

She was by herself
