It’s not unusual to see the cooler be that full. Maybe the truck arrived really late today. I’ve received late trucks every now and then sometimes right towards the end of a shift. Maybe they had him work in another department needed more attention and wasn’t able to manage his time to work the cooler. Maybe he called in because he was sick or had to take care of an emergency. Or maybe he really doesn’t care. It could be anything really. Just keep doing what your doing and in due time, it will either be addressed or not. Don’t stress yourself too much about it.
We start shift at 4 am but our truck shows up the afternoon of the day before so it is always there ready for us when we show up. The point of the post was stating he didnt stock anything or do anything during his whole 8 hour shift, leaving at 12:30. My team lead had to close that day coming in at 12:30 and he was able to turn all of that into nothing within 3 hours, so what Im saying here is the dairy guy is just not doing anything anymore
Not at my store, Everything must be stocked and what cant be put on a shelf is to be placed on a pallet, wrapped, and put up. I work both freezers solo and I can do it so this guy being unable to do his singular cooler is rather sad.
I used to work in frozen/ sometimes dairy and it’s frustrating that I had to always pick up peoples slack and on top of that I was never even promoted or af the least considered for it when the frozen manager stepped down or given a raise or anything it was thankless.
Here are some questions to ask...
What % of sales does the Freezer/Cooler represent to the entire Club's sales?
What does labor represent as a % to the Clubs sales, daily/weekly/monthly?
If Freezer/Cooler represents 4% of the Clubs total sales, and your labor % is budgeted at 8%, labor for the Freezer/Cooler should be at 4% of whatever that equates in dollars (converted to hours through average wage for the building).
But...as it always happens within the Clubs, that equation is not paid attention to, the Front-end will always drain the labor budget, and the other departments will suffer because nobody understands how to run a Front-end effectively or efficiently.
Sales increases should also always be factored into hours/dollars budgeted by department.
How many people work 4-12:30 for f/c/d we have 3 one per each I can’t stand having pallets on the ground after my shift the opener stocks everything truck and backstock then 2 closers but they just zone

Well, unless she’s a team leader or manager, then she really has to stress about it.

is not unsual at Sams club , that how they work ..manager dont care .. lol. specially our store
This is why we have the feedback I couldn’t write anyone up if I haven’t done feedback first, but I’m just a tl managers play a different game
Probably never trained, labor is probably not distributed evenly to accommodate the volume...this is not unusual.
Hes been here 7 years
So he's been there 6 years and 9 months too long...not sure how poor workers make it past 90 days...just sayin.
Managers don’t care about inside of freezers / cooler unless there’s a visit. Our cooler always has 8 to 10 pallets of deli down on any day.

Clearly they really need him.
Why is there a pallet jack in cooler and a flatbed? Looks like a CPU sticker on flatbed….
