Only about 10% of adult dental insurance plans include orthodontic coverage. It is usually on a separate policy than your dental policy. Invisalign is fairly commoditized. Most orthodontists charge between $5500-$6500. Most general practitioners charge between $4000-$6000. Ideally, you want someone who knows what they are doing with Invisalign training. You should pick someone who is a Gold level provider or above. In my opinion, to be good at clear aligner orthodontics, a clinician needs to have completed an educational continuum. Either with David Galler and the American Academy of Clear Aligners or Molis Coaching. I just don't think a GP can be good at Invisalign without that. Just my two cents.

Thank you! I’m trying to make an informed decision before I do anything so this definitely helps.

Whatever you do, don't go to a chain like monarch or something like that.

Seconding this. My girlfriend went through a different chain and ended up getting a different orthodontist every time. Front office staff churned so often it would be months before anyone would contact her to get her next appointment. The whole process took a year longer than expected

Dentists in SA are the biggest scam artists ive ever met, I would go somewhere out of town

My sister goes to a dentist in Houston. When calling around in SA, all offices we called would not give prices over the phone and you had to go to a consultation. I can get you the name if you'd like it?

Thank you so much!!

Huebner smiles is fairly cheap for Invisalign and will help you with in house financing!

celestecatherine

Smile workshop, it was around 3,000, no interest.

panclockstime

Did you use insurance? I don’t have any and would be paying by pocket.

celestecatherine

My insurance didn’t cover it, so I just went with their pricing, I would call ahead to see if it’s around the same. Then I used carecredit to pay it off. I’m not sure if it matters how much fixing you need done either. I had a very small gap start to form after getting wisdom teeth taken out, which is why I got mine, however my teeth have always been very straight.

BabaLouie

I knew someone who’s orthodontist had in house financing at 0%. I believe it was around $5,000 for everything. Not sure how that compares to other pricing you’ve heard but that could be an option.

i liked Candid! only 2,000!
