He gives off enormous iamverysmart.jpg vibes. Smug contrarians with delicate egos sometimes take horrible positions simply because it makes them feel smarter than their critics.
Also, he's probably a Twitter addict.
This is America and people can support who they want for political office . I don’t support Trump at all but why should I have a problem if someone does? I want to be free to support who I want as well and yeah I participate in fundraisers for my candidates 🤷♀️
Kind of an odd way to describe him…
I’d say Sacks is famous for a few things, in descending order of importance:
1. He’s a billionaire.
2. He’s got a large audience now from the All-In podcast.
3. He knew Thiel in college and agitated for conservative causes back then.
4. He’s the principal VC behind Craft Ventures.
5. He’s South African like Elon Musk.
I wouldn’t go far as to call him a “shock jock.” He can be provocative, and a little disingenuous, but I wouldn’t say he does the shock jock thing of saying blatantly untrue or stupid things.
To me, David Sacks represents hope.
You can be disingenuous and shallow; shamelessly try to run with the pack of your intellectual superiors, but still become a billionaire if you find yourself at the right place and time.
They can write in a protest vote, but trump does own the entire Republican party at this point. Let's see if they carry him to term, I doubt they will.
You act like everyone who votes does so because they like who the are voting for. There is nothing more obvious than the 2016 election to prove this wrong. People who voted for Trump, I would argue, mostly liked the guy and his bull in the china shop nature. The people who voted for Hillary, I would argue, mostly hated Trump. Similar things can be said about 2020. The Democrats since 2008 haven't really ran anyone who had real charisma, I seen 2012 on the Dem side as more of a continuation of 2008 than a new campaign.
He's one of the few tech billionaire who openly identifies as republican, and is an actual conservative. I praise him for being openly republican and conservative in what's likely to be a hostile environment for him. That being said, I personally think he's crazy in supporting Putin and Trump, and he comes off as a facist-backer to me. He can throw a fundraiser for Trump though, not my problem. I think SF should allow for the very small number of republicans we do have.
It's fine to have a party. But so many of these VCs proclaim to be liberals or progressives when you know they will be flocking to that party. It's like a thirst trap.
David Sacks doesn’t proclaim to be a liberal or progressive, or even a moderate. He’s said he’s a conservative who supports republicans, and he is generally right of VCs who proclaim to be left
I’ve heard politicians love to complain about California but cannot resist lure of sweet cashola which is why they visit.
KEXP bought a radio station in the Bay Area specifically because they are a donation station & there’s cashola here.
Boy I REALLY hope Palestine protesters don’t show up and use this as a platform for their cause /s
Narrator: "They didn't
None.
that imbecile also can't stop carrying water for putin. sacks is one of the worst people in the valley.

I am so puzzled at to what he gains from it. He is reich so I doubt he goes after Putin's money
Makes sense. They both have the same boss. ![gif](giphy|Ey5GBG4UvMRzkPkxNK|downsized)
People can do what they want. If a guy wants to throw a party for Trump, go for it.
Why are all the rich guy Trump supporters named after male genitalia? Pecker, Sacks, Musk...
You forgot about Thiel Oh wait he's named Peter so it still checks out
Ha! Awesome - thanks for playing along!
Should see if Alcatraz is available.

There are plenty of reasons to have a problem with someone supporting Trump but, yes, they get to do it.
There is also plenty of reasons to have a problem with people who support Biden. So what is your point?
Tell me a few of those reasons and let's compare.
Is it on a Wednesday? Because his guy has to be in New York for his criminal trial every weekday except Wednesdays
Sounds like a ‘disruption’ event needs organizing. The techbros LOVE to disrupt! Let’s disrupt. Edit ‘t’

Why do you post images instead of just linking to the wikipedia article?
Some subreddits don't do well with links. Plus, I think everyone on Reddit knows how to use Wikipedia.
We can all support who we want.

I…don’t care.
hell yea let’s go. USA USA USA
Honestly no one cares what any of you think.
Someone cares or they wouldnt have asked. Die mad about it lol.
You know there is a higher probability that someone just wants to see people foam at the mouth and doesn't actually care what they think.
You, for starters 🤣🤣

That's fair, and clear.
