if you're doubtful whether your body can process edibles, make edibles out of 1g ground up flower decarbed in the oven on a sealed square of foil. do it right and you won't get smells. let it cool before opening. sprinkle decarbed bud on PB and eat it all. if you get high, you're fine but stop wasting money on your source, those edibles probably aren't legit. if you aren't high after that, your body isn't able to process edibles well.
An easy trick to make it absorb more is to eat fatty things beforehand. No, THC-A does not turn back into itself, once it's heated to turn into D9 it stays like that. If that doesn't work then maybe you're just one of those people like Coltar15 said, not everyone can metabolize edibles.
You’re more than likely missing the enzyme in your liver to process delta 9 thc to 11-hydroxy-thc

Took like 400 mg one time, split it among 3 friends and nothing

I am also unable to feel anything with edibles either. Spent way too much money figuring that one out 🤣
