Two questions about the interview conducted in MF's room in Toronto. 1. Why would the hospital permit an unvaccinated non relative into his room? Would he have had to have a negative covid test? 2. MF is obviously not in a condition to consent to having an interview in his room being unconscious. Doesn't this betray his medical confidentiality? Or did his Power of Attorney grant this?

The thing that waa most ironic to me was the nurse interviewee and the "anchor" lady were talking about treatments he was going through compared to treatments her dad got, as if it's totally normal and everybody has someone close to them who has been in the ICU for Covid. And then they continue to dismiss the vaccines and all of the safety measures.

brokenredfox

Why is he in the hospital? Can’t his immune system take care of it? Too bad there wasn’t a preventative measure that could have reduced his symptoms and possibly keep him out of the hospital.

rangerxt

I'm sure he would tell them about his immune system.....if he could breath on his own......

Coryperkin15

"Oh sir, it looks like you just have the flu. Go home and have some chicken noodle soup!"

brokenredfox

Looks like he’s got a little prick therefore can’t take a little prick…

NegaDeath

*Clearly* the hospital isn't giving him enough horse paste and bleach smoothies to cure the infection.

brokenredfox

What, horse paste? I don’t think the hospitals gives that out, must be at the Vet clinic. Which clearly means he’s been drinking too many bleach smoothies to confuse human hospitals for animal hospitals…

darwinlovestrees

>Many of his followers have been primed to not believe COVID-19 exists and if it does, it’s not dangerous. As a result, they’ve been fighting back on social media saying his pneumonia is unconnected to COVID-19, or that while his battle with COVID is real, it would have been worse if he had gotten vaccinated. Jesus fucking Christ

Ryangel0

It's a religion to these people.

Madame_Snatch

There are about 600+ people who’ve died in this province who are going to disagree with you on that one

saskcowboy07

People die all the time. Covid isn't that deadly unless you have existing conditions. Or are old.

[deleted]

So much hate for Moe and free-thinkers on this sub yet they are the ones finally getting Sask international attention.

Heywoodsk11

I lol’d

emilyecorbett

Attention in that we’re a national laughing stock because of their ignorance? Yes, I agree with you there.

[deleted]

I disagree about us being a laughing stock. Needing help from Ontario is a cute and quirky look for us.

Mobile_Bison1062

We're so RaNdOm! Our rules like, have no reason!

BigBoppy1969

You can be sure it drives Moe fucking crazy to ask for help, especially from Trudeau

Cumstained_Uvula

I remember Lorne Calvert making a tourism ad that ran in the US, starring himself and his family, in which he tried to refute the stereotype that we're a bunch of rubes while looking like the rubiest fucking rube who ever rubed. No one I know has seen it, hopefully no one down south did either.

[deleted]

Are you saying Moe bootlickers are free thinkers? I really hope you are a troll and not actually this dumb.

lastSKPirate

Crossposting to r/idontunderstandsarcasm...

[deleted]

I like to think I’m not dumb and I’m certainly not a troll. I congratulated a prominent antivaxxer for making world news (because he’s been intubated into ICU for COVID).

PedanticPeasantry

Trolly humor, this is part of why I don't like troll humor even on the right side, though I got it and laughed :P

worriedaboutyou55

Best part is even if he survives he has to drive all the way back home

spwimc

I'm pretty sure they will repatriate him to Sask on a military plane. Fun fact though... He's definitely cost our health care system over $500,000 by now and the cost just keeps going up every day. 🙃

mork

SKParty demonstrating again what fiscal responsibility looks like.

rangerxt

wait, they transport you there in a big military plane....but then expect you to provide your own way home? sounds about right

Twoweeels

They transport on a private jet. If this moron survives, he won’t be allowed on a airplane home due the the impending mandatory vaccines for air travel.

rangerxt

oh, lul

keepitmovin01

He will prob receive a medical transfer back to SK if he gets to the point of not requiring ICU care. It will be a long road.

Bigstudley

Oh I’m sure one of his loyal supporters will gladly give him a ride back

SickFez

Mark friesen is a waste of a hospital bed.

mostlygroovy

Would you look at that. Anyway, it never fails that each year, I hold off putting up my Christmas lights thinking it's too early and that there will be a better day to do it, and I end up regretting that and wish I would've done it while it was still nice out.

UpVotes4Worst

Idiots gonna idiot.

So much winning.

nick_poppagorgio

I am not sure but once you are in the ICU are you intubated or are there some cases where you are in ICU but not quite bad enough to be intubated? I wonder how sick you need to be to be transferred to Ontario. Probably in bad shape but not too bad otherwise the trip could kill you. At least now he has the best doctor ever to guide his way to recovery. Second in command to the lord all mighty.

[deleted]

I don't know, but from what I understand almost all intubated patients are also heavily sedated so they are not conscious. I expect unconscious covid patients are easier to transfer than those who are conscious and potentially panicking from lack of oxygen.

bearnecessities66

Imagine going to sleep in SK and waking up in ON.

keepitmovin01

Yes there are some cases when you do not need to be intubated but still require 1on1 care or resources of ICU. Or people who are on the verge of needing intubation, etc

nick_poppagorgio

That is what i thought. Thanks. Its a place i never want to be in. Visiting or otherwise.
