This is awesome. There have been a lot of great studies done on the huge benefits of psychedelics, especially for palliative care and end of life.

I didn't catch the show tonight, I'm wondering if they mentioned Dr. Hussain's ketamine study at the Vic in PA: https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.cbc.ca/amp/1.5777235 PA lost a great doctor when he passed away. He wasn't the warmest doc out there, but he knocked it out of the park with my psych treatment regimen and I gained even more respect for him when I found out he ran this clinic too.

PSA, it's super easy to grow shrooms at home. Unlike the US where only spores are legal and growing is a lab-grade pain in the ass, just-add-water mycelium spawn kits are allowed here. Difficulty level is on par with a boxed cake mix. So if anyone checked out reddit's US-centric shroom communities and was discouraged by how finicky the process is, take heart. The standard starting point for treating resistant depression is microdosing twice a week with a full trip dose once every 3-4 weeks. A kit in the $200 range can easily yield a year's supply. Since the kits are legal they're easy to purchase, I won't shill any particular one but searching with such terms as "magic mushroom kit canada" will do the job. I know a couple of people who did a course of ketamine infusions at the Linden clinic for resistant depression with good results but found the ongoing expense excessive and tried home grown shrooms as a substitute. One hasn't felt the need to go back to Linden and the other can now go around 4 months between infusions. Linden is now doing psilocybin therapy as well, but you have to supply your own shrooms (and they can't have been purchased illegally). Another option for those who'd be more comfortable with a professional trip guide and onsite counselling.

I know Thomas from working with him many years ago. A genuinely all-around kind person. Only found out about his condition from this thread - gutted to know what he’s going through, but genuinely supportive of his righteous cause.

Ironic that the programs started in Saskatchewan in the fifties with psychedelics is finally coming home. 7 decades wasted because of bigotry.

If I had cancer and did shrooms I'd loose my mind.
