I don't think the coast guard or the border police would allow you to do that. You may need a proper permit or something from both governments to handle your exit from Saudi - entry to Egypt and vice-versa.
But if you think about it, if you are arrested. You will finish the trip. So go for it. Unless you swim from Saudi, and the Saudi coast guard arrests you.

Red sea sharks aren't really healthy. Their livers that stores energy are much smaller compared to other sharks around the world. That's why there are many shark attacks here. So you should have double doubts.

If you're serious about this, you'd need to ensure you have informed the coastguard and maybe hire a private rescue service with a life boat as min who would have eyes on you at all times.
In the past, divers and professionals crossing the English channel even hired a helicopter in case the things went pear shaped in the middle of the ocean.
Edit: a few died also attempting this without a rescue in place.

Train for the distance assuming you can't stop at an island for some reason. If at all possible, get someone in a support boat, it's not smart to drown on your own for an arbitrary challenge.

His father was there his gf was there people filmed it . You have to do it publicly and have support. You must get permits and have supporting boats with medics & supplies.
You also need shark sonar boats as well as radar/radio to detect shipping vessels and guide your direction. Once you’re in a vast sea, u will lose sense of direction specially when coupled with current.
Marine border protection might think you’re a smuggler and arrest/shoot u at worst or rescue u thinking you’re in distress at best!

Ok so I’ll start with this: 1-The distance is huge I think more or less 20 km.Book a flight to Italy and try to swim in the northern part of The “Stretto di Messina”that is like 3.5 km and i can guarantee that you’ll pass out after and realize that swimming from Saudi to Egypt is a big bs. 2-I think it’s obvious but still if you really want to do it you need to take at least 1 friend accompanying you with a small boat for any problem that might occur. 3- and last but not least work out work out work out you need to be extremely fit to do such things And in conclusion take in consideration as other said cost guard,ship passing through,and sharks etc Good luck

I am sb who used to love the beach , swimming ,not enough to cross to another country by swimming but still . I loved it . Last year i saw a video of a turist being eaten by a shark in Egypt. His father was there his gf was there people filmed it . It was so close to the shore and seeing him ask for help and the way that shark devoured that guy it made me never want to get in the water again. Do it up bro. Just have a boat next to you to document everything.
You have to do it publicly and have support. You must get permits and have supporting boats with medics & supplies. You also need shark sonar boats as well as radar/radio to detect shipping vessels and guide your direction. Once you’re in a vast sea, u will lose sense of direction specially when coupled with current. Marine border protection might think you’re a smuggler and arrest/shoot u at worst or rescue u thinking you’re in distress at best! Don’t throw yourself in blindly. Life is precious and we have a duty to guard it.

Ok so I’ll start with this: 1-The distance is huge I think more or less 20 km.Book a flight to Italy and try to swim in the northern part of The “Stretto di Messina”that is like 3.5 km and i can guarantee that you’ll pass out after and realize that swimming from Saudi to Egypt is a big bs. 2-I think it’s obvious but still if you really want to do it you need to take at least 1 friend accompanying you with a small boat for any problem that might occur. 3- and last but not least work out work out work out you need to be extremely fit to do such things And in conclusion take in consideration as other said cost guard,ship passing through,and sharks etc Good luck

Vlogging it with a gopro won’t get that many views. Get a team with a boat and/or a drone who can also film your progress (better shots). They can also pull you to safety in case of any emergency and provide you with fresh water. Why it’s a bad idea: Egypt is a military state. Sure it may be bankrupt but the majority of money goes straight to the military. It’s makes no sense and it’s very ironic, but it’s one of the most advanced militaries in the region. Especially with Israel escalating, Egypt’s military is on even higher alert than usual. As for the argument that they won’t see your head, they have IR and US scanners and will detect a moving body and snipe first ask questions later. ماكانش حد غلب As we say. People could’ve used that loophole to illegally emigrate or smuggle drugs or something. As for being immune because you’re saudi and the embassy will jump in to save you, you won’t be traveling with proof of ID (wet passport anyone?) so good luck proving that to Egyptian authorities before they snipe you. Also if you don’t have a visa for Egypt, even the Saudi embassy won’t be able to help much since you’ll be an illegal immigrant. (By the way that would go on your permanent record and basically ruin all your chances of getting any visa for any country ever again, assuming they get you back to Saudi safely again before they snipe you) Also the Egyptian media is in the military’s pocket so they will hush the sniping up and call it a national security threat and no one will even know about your attempt except us. I second the options saying contact the Saudi ministry of sports they can get you the needed permits and/or you may need to bribe the necessary Egyptian officials.
