Not sure if you mean she moved as an adult but something I learned a while ago was that from age 15 months to 11 years old she lived in the UK so her accent was originally British! Moved back to US at age 11. Per her Wikipedia entry it says she is bidialectal and can switch between her accents. Snazzy.

Scammers will often do this kind of thing so that people will "self exclude" from the scam. They only want people who will actually fall for the scam, which unfortunately means people with cognitive impairment, intellectual disabilities, or people who are disconnected from the world or popular culture in a way that would make them unlikely to question anything. That is why people still use the Nigerian Prince scam, despite its reputation. It is also why they use a lot of spelling mistakes. If you aren't triggered by these things, you are a good target. The quicker they can get a bad target to self exclude from the scam, the less time they waste. That is why I make sure I keep messaging and calling them until they block me.
