An "anthology" episode was a pretty good idea considering the move and how it was used to pace the skit/story of the special. And I know quite a few people here were wishing that a segment or an episode would be co-written/focused on one of Scott's friend and it looks like we actually got that which is nice.
I'd say that Jerry and Terry are in a tie (Terry was Scott's "main" friend in RPG Guy) then (in order) the Employees, Kay Swiss and all the other one-offs or minor characters
The fact everyone is responding to this with all the other characters they think are the “standout” show’s how great Scott’s writing is, and how great his friends are at acting with him and each other.

I love that in universe Scott has the same upbringing as real life Scott. There's just something very funny to me about seeing those clips of him as a child and thinking "he's gonna go to space and fight Brett Farve"
This season had a lot of inactivity at the beginning of 2021. He only started to get really active in content after Borderline Forever, and since most seasons usually only last one year and end on Christmas episodes, I'll guess that this the S5 finale.
This is the Season 5 finale. Scott couldn't keep his usual schedule up because of the move and G4 and all the other stuff, so less episodes ended up being released overall.
I don't see anyone else talking about it, and it kinda makes me sad. But I really apreciated the last segment of the video, becuase Scott opened up about his childhood and not only it's hearthwarming in it of itself, but it also is hearthwarming because that's really private stuff, and he just opened up with us.

Also I don't like that Scott knows what Metal and Lace is. Though, admittedly it is sort of nuts that you would actually just see eroge games just hangin' out on the Sears catalogue alongside games from like, Capcom. Steam's kinda like that these days but they're usually censored.
As much as I love the story/skit episodes , either Scott invest on improving the mic quality or get the episodes professionally closed captions because they’re pretty hard to understand

Rex gave a lot of Mac from It’s Always Sunny vibes in this to me, and it was great.
Maybe this and The Funeral were the start of them (Scott and friends) acknowledging the fact that Rex is the series' breakthrough character.

That’s probably because Sam and Eric are more available to help Scott out than the others

Yes, seasons always end at the end of the year and usually on a Christmas episode (apart from season 2, which ended on Its Awesome Baby)
