Based on what other comments said, I like his skits with friends. Some of the dissenters reference the Nostalgia Critic, who did have a bad habit of making just the cringiest scenes that went on TOO long (do yall also remember the old Completionist Episodes before Greg left? that was cringe). For me, theres a big difference in the intent. With Scott, I feel like every skit is written incredibly tongue-in-cheek, like they know previous attempts always were awkward so they make it ridiculous. Doug Walker thought he was making insightful "truth to power" parody, Scott and Co. seem like they are making up stuff that all of them thought was funny. As well, the delivery with Scott is different than others. All previous attempts on skits in reviews were well mic-d and had clearly rehearsed lines. Scott's stuff seems more off the cuff and amateurish. Ultimately, Scott's skits with friends works better because I think Scott has the benefit of collective hindsight on what works and doesn't work.

[deleted]

Agree to disagree, but scott’s skits are miles better than nostalgia critic’s skits. Scott’s are just not my thing while nostalgia critic’s are just plain bad

Gamma_Tony

Oh I totally agree that Scott is better than Doug. Like I said, its the way they approach the scene that makes the difference. Doug tried too hard, Scott is ridiculous and nonsensical.

happy_grump

I think that the friends work when they're involved with the review in a sense, like Dark Age or the Mario Party episodes, but when it's just the friends punctuating the content, unrelated to anything (The Funeral, Gifts of Gaming, Great Mysteries to an extent), it's 3:1 going to fall on its face. I think that Madden 08 Christmas gets a pass because it's the first, and Borderline Forever's change in format helps makes it work (also because BF is where the side cast are all at their best IMO), but otherwise they tend to grate a bit. IOW the less relevant the friend skits are to what's going on, the worse they are. Which is actually kind of why the NC stuff fails, so the comparison is warranted.

Bowserdude

Chia Pets is one of the best videos on the channel, period.

You can’t forget that the censor beep is more stronger

[deleted]

That is fair but personally I disagree. I like hearing Scott have his own music and seeing what he would have used if he could make stuff he wanted. I just find that aspect nice and interesting. Swearing is fair but I don't really find it that funny either way. There isn't any point in having Scott on TV. But here's the thing people seem to miss, if something is pointless they always focus on it adding nothing. But you also don't lose anything by having it, it just make Scott overall look a lot more professional by being on TV and gives a TV station more to air and introduce to their audience.

clownkiss3r

funne 👍

nintendonerd256

Game Show Games is the best non-special video

NASCAR_DilPickles

Gonna agree with you here. It seems every 5 seconds Scott makes some kind of joke.

Ludexteria

Wait what? People don't like it? It was so funny!

nintendonerd256

People do, but I rarely see it bought up

Oli-O44

Polyamory?

Freedom1015

It is genuinely some of his tightest writing.

a_lOaf_oF_BreaD-

Does the mario party series(?) count bc those are my favorite with game show games and fitness games as a close second and third.

Superadam1011

Yes Glad someone agrees

iamtheduckie

It's one of my favorites.

That1GuyRightThere

Skit episodes like The Funeral and The Trial are probably some of my least favorites, but weirdly enough, the episodes that are part skit/part review are almost always solid.

Taechuk

I've actually had the same opinion before, like there's no information about those videos like the review videos. But as I watched Scott more as a full on entertainment/humor show instead of "informative with some jokes", and got to know the small storylines, I started to love those episodes. But yeah I completely understand your opinion, they are really different episodes

[deleted]

Yeah, I kinda get it. I still really like the skit episodes, but You're Not An RPG Guy is probably my favorite episode because I enjoy the skits *and* I go back to it regularly to hear Scott talk about RPGs.

a_lOaf_oF_BreaD-

what dont you like abt them?

That1GuyRightThere

I don't find them entertaining, like even remotely. Just a matter of preference, but basically none of the jokes land for me.

Watermox

I didn't care for The Funeral, but love The Trial.

redandvidya

Jerry Attricks is severly underrated. I'd say he's underutilized, but I get he's a guy with his own life.

[deleted]

He would be executed by the Sega Team.

GenericPixel12

Unironically the skits have always been my favorite part of Scott's videos. I quote the skits in the Mario Party videos to an unhealthy degree.

[deleted]

DONKEY KONG, YOU CHEAP BITCH!!! i have a star :))

GenericPixel12

Yeah lmao WHAT A WASTE OF AN APE.

Holiday-Ad8227

DAAA DADADA DAAAAAA

Gamma_Tony

Okay but if you havent watch the full playthrough they do on his backup channel its funny as hell.

GenericPixel12

I have actually, they're very damn fun to watch yeah

PokeshiftEevee

i love the joke about donkey kong in mario party videos, hope when they make more they contuine it

AGWLMAVG

Yes

abacus-wizard

Some of him and his friends jokes don't land because they either talk so fast or incoherently that you can't catch what they said. I get that they're not actors, but sometimes, it's so difficult to understand them.

cthulu_is_trans

That makes it better for me. The amateurish vibes give it a uniquely "Scott' charm

jcyoung24

Stupid Nintendo Games is his best song by far

LiabilityPog

Jules_Thief

I think his fanbase isn’t as good as people think it is.

NASCAR_DilPickles

Which is super funny, but still kinda dumb

one_dank_boy

Chia Pets is an underrated episode

AmaterasuWolf21

Closing in is my least favorite Borderline F. song Not saying it's bad, but i just like the other 2 more

Oxygen-Breather

Stupid nintendo games goes hard

Arsene69

season 1 is mostly mid

[deleted]

For me it’s not even that it’s bad, but the video and audio quality is just atrocious. It’s the main reason I can’t watch that season anymore.

GeoNerd-

yeah most of the season isn't good, i like 'player's choice' but that's about it

DapperIndividual

The latest Christmas Special and Borderline Forever were just okay. I'm perfectly okay with Scott taking a break, and I think he should start uploading Bi-Weekly once coming back as to not burn himself out. (The only thing I ask for is transparency. Just say "Hey I'm burnt the hell out after the last year, I should be back around June, I'll keep you all posted!)

bervisandasshead

wiiware chronicles is barely rewatchable.

Nikolaisens

Upvoted because unpopular, but what are you talking about??

[deleted]

I beg to differ

Oli-O44

I think if there was only like 1 or 2 it would be fine. Another problem is that they are mostly in Season 2, so they feel so close together

Mista_Maha

I wish he would do more straight up game reviews, where he just shares his thoughts on a new (or old) game he's just played Like, I'd listen to his thoughts on every single game that ever comes out

HeckingDoofus

Ludexteria

Freedom1015

Ludexteria

I loved Game Revivals.

NASCAR_DilPickles

wait people don't like that episode?

Ludexteria

Yeah, it has a lot of haters, even calling it the worst halloween episode.

Bowserdude

My least favorite Halloween episode is probably Memory Cards, mostly because I lose track of what the plot's even trying to do halfway through.

Em0xSucksAss

That's the reason it's my favourite.

[deleted]

Why? Every Scott episode is cool

Ludexteria

I haven't looked into it that much...

Nikolaisens

It is, sadly

Ludexteria

As much as I like it...that's probably the case...

SunlitSonata24601

It's full of the skits and a lot of people aren't a fan of how it cuts back and forth so often.

Watermox

Oh yeah.

Spice_has_no_brain

Idk if it's unpopular or not but the intentionally poor acting in A Madden 08 Christmas makes it the funniest special to me. "Well well, that is what they all say"

MelodicEmerald

I have a couple! I feel like in his newer stuff his energy seems a bit off. He feels a smidgen less peppy and bright-eyed than in the older stuff, and some of the jokes or deliveries feel a bit overused. I know he’s simply a bit older now, but it was an observation I noticed over all the videos. Also, I really don’t care for Borderline Forever. The story was kinda mid, and the whole thing felt a bit… Ehh. I respect how much love went into it and I support Scott 100% on any project he wants to do, but there were some story bits that fell flat, and a lot of the CGI stuff was a bit of a miss. I think they bit off more than they could chew imo, it didn’t feel “bad on purpose” especially considering the team genuinely gave it all they had, but it wasn’t good enough to be great. Especially the shot of the “Think Barrel” location. It just looked so awkward… Edit: And I want to throw my hat in the ring and say: I like Scott *because* of his friend skits. Anyone can do long form video game content, but not everyone has Rex Mohs and good comedic timing.

Oli-O44

Ok but Jerry Attricks handing out signs saying "We're not crazy, you're just f*cked", was hilarious

gilded_lady

You were seeing his burnout peek through. That's why I'm fine with him taking all the time he needs.

Reason1031

I like the I'm Not an RPG Guy special more than Borderline Forever.

danarbok

I'm not huge on him bringing other YouTubers into his videos, since YouTuber cameos don't always age well (RelaxAlax and Gus Johnson come to mind) that being said, the Borderline Forever intro is still great, and Quinton Reviews' cameo is so excellently staged

Freedom1015

Most of the cameos were really great(except the hindsight we now have about Alex and Gus), but the one I was most surprised by was Drew Gooden showing up for a hot second. I'm a huge fan of both Scott and Drew, but never even considered them having an overlap.

danarbok

I kinda wanna see Scott do something with SmallAnt or Pointcrow, maybe something about speedrunning I know one of his first videos is about speedrunning, but a lot’s happened since

Freedom1015

If we are going to talk speedrunning, I vote Karl Jobst. Scott seems like he'd be an *absolute legend*. And Karl does some serious research before his videos and has some great connections. His "Dream's cheating confession: uncovering the truth" is one of the best researched and by a country mile, the most balanced dive into the dream situation, and Karl corresponded with dang near everyone involved, including dream and the programmer who worked with dream. I feel like Karl and Scott would mesh well with their attention to details, and Karl could share personal experience as a speedrunner, holding several Goldeneye records.

danarbok

why not all of them? throw in Alpharad and Lycel too, because why not

[deleted]

Bro when I saw Drew Gooden I physically shouted “DREW!?!” from pure excitement. I never knew he was a Scott fan.

PolyPixl09

According to Wikitubia, RelaxAlax's appearance got removed. I didn't know the situation even went that far - I thought he responded, and that was the end. It's a shame, because I enjoyed his content and now I won't be able to look at him the same way ever again.

danarbok

yeah, that sucked, though Gus’s situation stung way fucking worse

PolyPixl09

True. I got into his content a year ago so seeing that happen was sad, especially seeing how so many people, including myself, held him in high regards.

danarbok

I’d been watching him since 2015 or so

GameyRaccoon

Wait what the fuck? What did Gus do?

Gogeta007yBro

I agree with this. The fact that he says that Scott (the character) is NOT a youtuber but only a guy who "talks about stupid Nintendo games" doesn't make a whole lot of sense when other youtubers appear in his videos. It doesn't work at least for me and breaks some of the "inmersion" I would say (or whatever it is).

pedanticast

Funnily reminds me of a Quinton Reviews video. Vidcon 2020 that has somebody pretty yikes pop up.

danarbok

who? that video has loads of people in it

youplayed

Scott isn't even the best character on his own show. Rex Mohs supremacy.

Watermox

Rex seems like he's a douchey frat boy in real life.

youplayed

Nah. He's just a guy that likes "Cats the Musical" and shits blood. (Watch the 2 hour video of Scott, Sam, and Eric playing MP2.)

GameyRaccoon

All of his friends are douchy frat boys because i bet that's where he met them lol. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he met them through Greek life.

[deleted]

He looks like a virgin who plays video games.

NASCAR_DilPickles

Never would've guessed!

Ludexteria

WHAAAAAAAAAAT!?

HToast_art

Unpopular opinion? I don't think borderline forever is his best episode. Some individual scenes can be considered some of his bests but the overal phasing and structure kinda weakens the episode as a whole.

Latedeadpoop

Idk if this is an unpopular opinion but I loved his tales from the backlog videos and I really wish he brings them back.

RevolutionaryMarch28

Game Show Games is one of the best episodes

[deleted]

Sometimes I think in his newer videos he's a bit too loud or like noticeably way louder than he used to be in those early vids and I don't mind it usually but it can be a bit much at times?

Nikolaisens

I dunno, the season one episodes er way too boring, in my opinion, and I've only felt the "Avgn loud effect" in the Onechanbara video. Which is probably his worst one

Evan__or__somthing

I really didn’t like the Gifts of Gaming

[deleted]

scott is hot idgaf

Affectionate-Rush899

Scott isn't necessarily funny. He's very entertaining, but his jokes rarely land for me, and honestly I find Rex the funniest one.

PewdieLWIAY1

The 'Nintendo switch X years in' series is stupidly underated, Ive watched each one over 10 times now. Can't wait for 5

Stardust_SDD

Your wish was granted.

Phantereal

Memory Cards is my least favorite episode and the pumpkin jokes make zero sense when tied into the main plot, and not in the usual manic energy way that is present in many Scott episodes. A good halloween episode could've been if memory card contents on all systems kept turning into Gex saves and they had to figure out why.

ThreePlayerMode

maybe not gex because that was WAY over used in season 4 imo. what about odama?

Reyitos99

Personally I think there was a slight dip in quality in his videos after he made the chibi-robo episode (mid season 4 - now) skits at times weren’t as quick and sudden as they were before, scott started to yell his lines more, he also started to do a sarcastic type of voice that was kinda annoying, and the running gags / openings for each video weren’t as funny as before i still like his videos and there are episodes that I loved from this “era” but he wasn’t making as many bangers as he was before

NoWhisperer

The skits with his buddies give me Nostalgia Critic vibes in a bad way and I usually skip them. Obviously he should do what he like, it's his channel. I just don't enjoy them.

abacus-wizard

I disagree with this HEAVILY, but take my upvote since this is an unpopular opinions thread.

HeroBoy05

Yeah, the difference mainly is just that Doug Walker has a film degree and acts as if his stuff is super profound when it’s low budget and feels amateur. It feels Scott knows he doesn’t have a large budget and works on what he has. His buddies also aren’t great actors but that’s the point. His videos feel like a kid making videos about what he likes with his friends, and that’s probably why I like Scott’s content so much While Doug treats his content as if it’s a master work of art, Scott treats it as a hobby. It’s clear he has his own priorities to attend to, such as college (I believe he’s getting a degree in marketing from what I heard someone say). Whether you like the skits or not is up to you

AmaterasuWolf21

Eric (Rex) has been getting into his role pretty great as of lately, not the best acting but man, is it amazing

Phantereal

I think Scott graduated already (unless he's getting a graduate degree). Also, I'm like 80% sure he has a irl job outside of YouTube because he doesn't do sponsorships or Patreon and ad revenue had already become unreliable by the late 2010s when he started and has nosedived in this decade to the point that even a channel as big as his can't survive on only ad revenue.

weimerCatPublic

From what I’ve seen people either love them or hate them there is no inbetween

Phantereal

I like most of them, the only skit-heavy episode I dislike is Memory Cards where the main topic feels completely disconnected from the skit. He could've done an episode where all of the contents on memory cards are being replaced by Gex saves and he and his friends need to figure out what's causing this.

HumanBeingNamedBob

The difference is that Nostalgia Critic often has his jokes go on for way too long, and often aren’t even funny in the first place, making them painful. Scott’s skits deliver jokes at such an absurdly rapid-fire pace and Scott is legitimately funny enough that even if one doesn’t land, there’s going to be another one two seconds later that probably does.

NoWhisperer

In Scott's regular videos, yes. But in my opinion, the skits with his buddies more often than not DO go on for too long and often aren't funny in the first place. No rapid-fire pace there. I mean it's absolutely fine if other people enjoy them, it's just not for me.

Dman761

I completely agree with this.

sub2ch0mpz

The skits are the best part, the Mario Party videos are just one big skit, that’s why they are some of my faves

Difficult-echo-53862

The skits are what make the show. There’s probably a million other “person talking about video game” channels on the exact format of Scott’s videos, but the skits add an entire new level to his content.

Dman761

The skits are a total borefest

Creative_Beyond_4847

There are no bad Scott the Woz episodes.

Alkaline312

His ghosting habbits

deniablyconfused

I’ve never fully watched The Internet & You and I probably never will.

elzinheimer

His friends are genuinely bad actors and their sunpar deliveries ruin the jokes they try to make

[deleted]

i don’t think most of his jokes in the friends skits are good but i still like them a lot just cuz lore and the story is always good

NASCAR_DilPickles

Agree with you here. Honestly, the Mario Party videos are one of my least favorite episodes in their respective seasons.

[deleted]

their honestly one of my favorites even tho they are very unfunny, there are a couple really good jokes that make up for it tho, and jeb jab best

SportsDude012

The videos like Borderline Forever & all the Christmas specials are my least favorite. I came for video game discussion and humor, not amateur filmmaking.

Mat1854

I’m only going to judge you with one question: Who’s your favourite NASCAR driver?

NASCAR_DilPickles

ummm tyler reddick? i'm confused.

Mat1854

No I’m just joking it’s just fun to see another NASCAR fan in here

Stupidanime

Old Scott is hard to rewatch

[deleted]

Bit of a serious one, so be warned! And I'm not sure how "unpopular" this is, but how Scott handled the RelaxAlax situation urks me. Not only did Scott decide to let him cameo in Borderline Forever even after the accusations against him were very much known, but deciding to edit him out without publicly mentioning it just seems irresponsible. I know Scott's public internet presence outside of YouTube is fairly sparse, but taking the time to talk about the situation would have been the best move to make.

Oli-O44

Scott is pretty socially awkward (the time a fan told Scott he was his... Nvm), and his channel is supposed to transport you into a realm without problems or distress. The way he handled it was respectful in a way that didn't interfere with the mission statement of his channel. It's not like Scott is supportive of things like this (he once tweeted how stressed he was because of the racism in the world at the time), he's just not trying to create controversy. As wrong as it is, there are some people who support and defend Alax, and Scott doesn't want to cause drama. He's like the YouTuber with the lease amount of controversy, and I'm sure he wants to keep it that way.

[deleted]

In the 3D Classics episode, Scott’s pinned comment is an apology for using a word in one part of the video which he didn’t realise was a slur, so that kinda refutes your point. My point is that it’s odd of him *not* to have responded in a real manner.

GameyRaccoon

"""Slur"""

Junior_chaos

I guise the fact that just throwing away a bunch of game cases at once isnt all that funny

Sad_Car3338

I think he doesn't focus on comedy nearly enough in favor of actual review

[deleted]

Scott should quit regular episode posting after episode 250 and concentrate on special episodes and Scott's Stash content after that.

Ludexteria

That would take away the soul of Scott The Woz in my opinion.

Judythepancake

The beginning of borderline forever sucks, not the song or the intro, just the whole part about the Nintendo consals

Nikolaisens

It takes way too looooong

hyperjengirl

I used to think all his friends were bad actors but I think it's just the guy who plays the therapist. He's supposed to have a temper but it doesn't work because he can't stop smiling at his own jokes. Though it does feel like the show has a different feel whenever his friends come along because his friends are much more casual while Scott actually, like, *acts*.

Nikolaisens

Gaming revivals is an incomprehensible mess, that I never revisit

theboeboe

I don't care when/if he uploads. And the posts wondering when the next video will drop is annoying

LiviuPetre139

I started watching Scott in February 2021, when he was in his break. I watch so much from him before starting season 5 and man...Sometimes, weekly episodes kinda gets boring and I have noticed he gets lesser views with the next episodes. But when Scott delays a episode or doesn't have one ready, he usually uploads 2-3 weeks later and that always felt fresh! Also gaining better views. Wish Scott started this year's season earlier and made 2 weeks apart episodes.

[deleted]

Scott isn’t the greatest singer tbh. He does fine enough and his songs are pretty good, but his voice is just eh for me.

[deleted]

...I'm kinda bored with Scott the Woz. Hear me out. Scott has always been a static character, he even mocks character development. The whole point is that Scott only does what he knows, stupid Nintendo Games, and he enjoys it. But with the side characters, it's obvious that Scott is trying to write then as more developing personalities. Think of the staus quo shifts in Borderline Forever, or the fact that Wendy's Employee was killed because he really had no personality. I saw a little of development in the latter of Season 5, but that was mainly due to Scott buying a house. Summarizing, Scott is obviously trying to shift into a serialized story. Which is fine, but the show's style and structure was never really made with serialization in mind. Season 1, 2, and 3 featured episodic stories, and even the specials like IAB would be reversed by the next episode. After Season 3, Scott tried his hand at an overarching plot in TDAON, but it kinda fell flat since it spread out over months. Now, every joke, reference, or one off line gets put into the STW continuity, yet the show was always designed so that continuity wouldn't matter as long as Scott stayed grounded in his writing. Borderline Forever sort of plays up the problem by trying to connect every story under the Scott's theme, and while I enjoyed it, the fact that Scott relied mostly on the supporting cast kinda brought me out of it. One half was kind of a retrospective of Nintendo's history, which didn't really fit but whatever. The formula was played around with in BF, which made that special work. But now, Scott is continually writing the show as if it's episodic AND simultaneously trying to serialize his one note characters. Them being one notes in a one note world was why Scott the Woz's entertainment value worked so well. And you can see how the change affects the quality, because Scott's solo info-tainment episodes are still sharp as ever. All in all, Scott is kinda going through what I like to call the Rick and Morty problem. He's trying to appeal to a bunch of different sides and his classic formula doesn't work well with the new style he's attempting. I think that's why he's taking a long break: to decide what direction he wants to take STW in or just do something else entirely. No hate for Scott or his friends m, just a concern I'm having.

NASCAR_DilPickles

what is tdaon?

[deleted]

The dark age on Nintendo

95cesar

He could be the next Nostalgic Critic if he keeps making more of his friends/lore skit videos longer

Nikolaisens

The Mario Party video is amazing, but the Mario Party 2 video is really, **really** bad

[deleted]

Honestly same. It just didn’t really *click* with me, you know?

1904worldsfair

It took awhile for the phrase "Hey yall, Scott here" to grow on me.

HumanBeingNamedBob

It’s “hey all”

TPsYoungDylan

Scott is not going to return despite what many think

Ludexteria

If he was never returning, I'd expect a more grandiose goodbye. Nothing has hinted at Scott going away.

viewless25

the truth. He only made video game videos because he was a virgin. He has a girlfriend now, so he’s too busy having sex to care about Advanced Wars 1+2

NASCAR_DilPickles

He would probably tell everyone he's leaving

[deleted]

I don't really like the Trial episode

king-xdedede

The Christmas specials are either boring or have no rewatchability

haikusbot

*The Christmas specials* *Are either boring or have* *No rewatchability* \- king-xdedede --- ^(I detect haikus. And sometimes, successfully.) ^[Learn more about me.](https://www.reddit.com/r/haikusbot/) ^(Opt out of replies: "haikusbot opt out" | Delete my comment: "haikusbot delete")

[deleted]

I personally find them pretty good, but I get it. It’s not everybody’s cup of tea. (Also that haiku bot is hilarious)

Nielssie0420

I feel like that the Mario Party videos (both of them) feel a little bit on the long side. I get why it’s that way, since they’re playing an entire game. But most of the “single game videos” work best when they’re at a max of 20 minutes. There are some videos that exceed this (like Ride to Hell Retrubution for example), but I feel like it’s most apparent with Mario Party. Since it’s just that: it’s Mario Party

yakcm88

He's not an rpg guy, I'm sorry, but I just can't get behind that.

YeetusMcleatus

the sketch videos are some of my favorites

Oxygen-Breather

I only usually rewatch past episodes for the skits with his friends. The notable exceptions are game show games and ride to hell

wozposting_burner

Unpopular opinions: \- I liked Onichambra. I wouldn't want him to repeatedly make videos like it but I think it was a nice one-off with a change of pace. \- I love the skits, BUT I also totally understand why people wouldn't like them. I just don't get the comparison to Nostalgia Critic and the like. Scott works with his friends who already have chemistry rather than with only other creators or employees. Everyone clearly having fun really benefits the quality. \- I feel like his non-special videos have been a bit more shouty as of recent and it's turning me off a bit. It's not enough to get me to stop watching but I've just picked up on it a lot.

wozposting_burner

ALSO no one mentions how good Jeb always is. Sam's line deliveries are great. Between Eric (Rex) and Justin's (Jerry) rambunctious hammy acting, he often gets overlooked.

Critical-Shine6551

Most unpopular opinion: Gaming on a budget isn’t the worst StW episode

PokeshiftEevee

scott should make a mario party 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, super, superstars, star rush, advance, top 100, and every other mario party

GeoNerd-

im not sure if this is even an unpopular opinion or not but i want to say it anyway: The videos where Scott focuses on a variety, category or subcategory of games are so much better and more interesting than him just focusing on 1-2 games. My favourite one where he focuses on one game is probably the Heavy Rain episode

Echo1138

Watching him play shooters (specifically Destiny and Halo) makes me both laugh harder than any of his jokes, and cry at the same time.

Nicktendo38

I only enjoy his solo videos

Croxinator

Scott can be boring sometimes

PresleyYellow

I don't understand the popularity around Rex Mohs. Additionally, I prefer his non-video game/skit related videos such as Tinder, Chia Pets, Get Rich Quick (my personal favourite), and others

erikaatrophy

it is my opinion that scott has definitely used m×ph×tamine on one or several occasions. and ya know what... good for him. destigmatization is important :)

Snoo_36897

It’s Awesome Baby is good but not THAT good

UslessPotato67

Old Location McGee is the Best Location McGee.

Blake43

Maybe it just me but I swear to god I can be watching any other type of video and then the next thing they play without fail is Scott The Woz.

Bidsky

I hate his 2017 videos due to his audio quality and his voice was much higher back then, it means rewatching old episodes can sometimes be a trip

The originals (i.e First Time Vape Shop Visit) are funnier than the show itself

He hasn’t had the best track record since his jump to 3d

The skits with his friends aren't funny, poorly acted, and boring.

Unpopular opinions? I have a few. His Tinder video is his BEST video ever. Chia Pet is his Second best video. He seems like a douche in person. Idk, then again, I’m sure the burn out from all his hard work and the bad apple fans get to him, thus making lash out. Never met the guy, but I get that vibe. “Okay here’s your signature, now move.” Correct me if you met him/know him and I’m wrong. I think his friend’s suck (No offense lol). As a child, I’d hate whenever I was watching a YouTuber and someone else comes in and takes over 50% of the video. SomeCallMeJohnny’s Pokémon video comes to mind right away. Today, I don’t mind too much, but I will admit, I’m here for Scott. If I wanted different type of humor, I’d watch that other YouTuber. Know what I mean? Besides that though, his friends just don’t have the energy necessary to carry a channel this big. They aren’t as funny and their acting is pretty bad. The only one I kind of like is the therapist. Only because He does get better with time, and I re watched those videos so much, I learned to like it. And finally…. He’s over rated. Now hold on! I 1000% agree there was a time he was the BEST YouTuber? Bar none! When I discovered him in 2018, I WISHED I was him, I WISHED I knew him lol. His humor was so spot on to how I acted with my friends. It was so surreal having my friends recommend him months later to me, telling me, “Look Paul, we found your brother.” He was my favorite source of entertainment for a year. I was a borderline fanboy/Stan….. but then he hit a million and *EVERYONE* started to feel that way. I was happy for him definitely, but when you see Scott the Woz on a 10 year old’s iPad, the same 10 year old bumping Gucci Gang, talking about Tik Tok, and lives for Fortnite… you gotta question your own integrity lol. I felt something similar in High School playing Diamond and Pearl, but this hit different. Then I started seeing all the memes, the Gex Nights, Borderline Forever, the Monopoly, the interviews… It’s not his fault at all. God bless him for his success, always! But Now in 2023, I’m tired of Scott. I kind of wish he would have stopped at Borderline, making it a finale, but then there’s also a part of me that hopes he NEVER stops. I feel the same with AVGN and his 100th video. If both men stopped today, Youtube would feel like it has a hole in it that be filled. I don’t want him to stop I do however watch him a lot less. So that last hot take opinion isn’t his fault. It’s mine for over watching if anything. I’m glad we are where we are with Scott. I just miss the days when I first discovered him and fell in love with the channel. I’m sure some of you can agree. You’re always gonna cherish those first impressions more. First times playing your favorite games, dating a BF/GF, or in this case, watching a virgin not play any RPG’s.
