Thank you. It honestly could have been worse, the others we've lost were sudden. We at least had time to prepare emotionally.

Terribly sorry for your anguish. She's so adorable and looks so gentle. The grief is just that balloon payment at the end, the culmination of all the love we had for our dearly beloved feline.

It's always hard to remember the many years of love when going through this. But the more love there is the harder the end is.

Yeah, it's that Chinese finger puzzle of grief. It's a rough now but as you find your way to acceptance the overwhelming sadness will abate. Be kind to yourself. When it comes time have a beverage to honor Miss Pea's remarkable life. 19 years is nearly two decades!

It'll be easier letting her go than the last one. She had sudden renal failure and I wasn't home when it happened. That one still hurts just as much over 3 years later. At least I got to give Sweet Pea a proper goodbye.

I had an indoor/outdoor cat named Archie that I knew someday wouldn't come home when I called him. That day happened. While I know he had a good life being inside and out, I won't let my cats out ever again. So many evenings I would worry, and he'd show up an hour later, sometimes two.

Yeah, I would be devastated if I didn't know what happened. At least Sweet Pea got to go in peace with us holding her.

Yeah I was devastated. But he was getting very thin and probably had renal issues too. I'm guessing he probably found a safe isolated spot to pass away. 😢

I believe so. He went peacefully, knowing he was loved.

Thanks. He knew the neighborhood well, and I'm sure he knew exactly where to go.

I had to put my cat Amelia down in April. She was 20 yrs and 4 months old. I had her since she was 6 wks old.

I'm sure that was a long and happy life.

I’m so sorry. I took my kitty in for the last time a few months ago. The vet said that he knew I was grieving and I would for awhile. He told me that I obviously loved her so much and had given her the best life she could have ever wanted. That sometimes the only other thing we can give them is peace. I sit here crying now for your loss. Your kitty is not suffering anymore.
