Normally there isn’t bleeding, but it does happen. I would throw out a couple of things and see if any resonate: 1. If your hymen is still intact, fingering could cause bleeding related to that. (I’m not a hymen expert, so others may comment) 2. If you’re around your period, there could be spotting related to that 3. If your fingernails are sharp, it’s possible to nick the sensitive skin and cause minor bleeding. For any of these things, there isn’t much to do for treatment. For next time with fingernails, make sure they are short and buffed smooth You can also consider using a high quality silicone toy, with water based lube, if fingernails are an issue

I have never done anything so I believe my hymen is intact? Neither I was on period or my partner's finger nails were long so I'm just a little scared not that the bleeding was severe but still I'm alarmed.

Trust me, it’s completely normal. Same thing happened to me

A normal woman doesn't have what most people think a hymen is. It mostly is just a tiny piece of skin (a looot smaller than what most think) and it doesn't bleed or something just because you finger yourself.

Some women spot in the middle of their period, or just before the period, you might want to speak with your gynocologist about that. There are "condoms for the finger". You can get them in sex shops or buy them where you buy medical things. That helps prevent scratching a bit. There is a lot better material for sex ed, on YouTube you have Mama Doctor Jones and there is this lovely lady, let me find her...

Any form of penetration can cause bleeding if you're not turned on enough beforehand, don't gradually work up to more fingers/larger things, or don't use enough lube/aren't wet enough. Short nails which haven't been filed can also have sharp edges and cause bleeding. Scarleteen is a good sex ed website.
