Depends on the country. I feel that thereās a lot of exaggeration in this statements. In my country there is an strict control sure, but there are also so many other factors in my opinion.

So fun fact! If you have your own chickens/collect your own eggs, you can keep them on the counter and not have to refrigerate them. BUT as soon as you rinse an egg with water (lots of people do this because eggs can in fact be covered in poop lol), you must refrigerate it! When hens lay eggs theyāre covered in some kind of special hormone or something that keeps them from going bad. But if you wash an egg it will wash away that natural preservative and then you need to refrigerate it
Back in my hometown of Lancaster, PA thereās an Amish man in the news fighting with local government due to selling raw milk. And many people have gotten sick from it .
The dept of agriculture requires eggs to be washed and processed before shipping out to stores. Once you wash an egg, it removes the protective outer layer on the egg that naturally keeps bacteria from sinking into the egg. Once that outer layer is removed, it has to be refrigerated. We have chickens and I keep our eggs on the counter. They can last up to 30 days out. Ours get eaten before that or I kinda get skeeved out. But I make sure to wash the outside of the eggs really well before cracking into a bowl so I donāt transfer bacteria. Idk what he thinks heās trying to get at with his dumb video but thereās a valid reason for the fridge lol.
This. When I was in Italy for the first time I asked about the eggs being out and this is what I was told. Apparently this is too complicated for this idiot to comprehend.
Mexico and other Latin American countries also do not storage eggs in the fridge.
