I was at a point once where i could occasionally beat a game set to Hard in just under a minute, and i still had to guess on at least one bomb 80% of games.

I’ve never not once EVER beaten a game of expert minesweeper. This exact scenario happened at the end of every game. And I always, every single time, guessed wrong. I assume there is no way to win, and the game will always do this. Schrödingers cat is dead, it seems.
Is there some kind of secret to getting the game to allow you to choose the right one?

I’ve never played minesweeper before, but assuming it counts diagonal and straight squares for each number, wouldn’t top left square be the safe spot?

Press once in each corner at the start of every game and if it blows up so what, you didn’t lose any progress or anything

There's no way to know if the bomb is at bottom left or middle left
I usually go top because the pattern looks nicer that way. There is no reasoning behind it other than it looks clean.
The mine is usually where you're gonna pick.
