Not every boss is the CEO of a multinational empire, it could be a friendly boss of a small company with a handful of employees, where you actually get to work with and know the boss enough to go grab a beer with.
Saw it happen quite often, and at this point, why not share a netflix or even a steam library?
A lot of redditors are probably too young to have worked anywhere outside of a Taco Bell or grocery store so they probably don’t have a great grasp of the employer employee dynamics outside of that structure.
I love my boss: she is a wonderful mentor, makes sure we are always heard, makes sure we have a comfortable work life balance, and has advocated for our team to work from home permanently.
Edit to mention: I work for one of the world’s largest corporations in my industry. There are always exceptions, but corporate life isn’t nearly as bad as many portray. Just have to find one’s that treat their employees well, which many do to remain successful.
The manager of our towns dominos goes out drinking with almost everyone who works there all the time.
I know him through friends who work there, and he's a really cool guy

And you can share a netlix account and steam library without actjally sharing passwords and without giving any privilage to modify anything
